One of the main themes of the expansion is currently unplayable, or at least almost completely out of the meta.
the prime Legendary minions are too slow and have no impact on the game,
i play on legend and never see prime cards played, also on tournament (master tour qualifiers) prime cards are non show.
The cards are fine and don't need buff, we see this mechanic before when you play an ok minion and get a powerful one in your deck.
Don't see play because was introduce at the same time with an OP new class with only few other classes can deal with (warlock and priest).
Soon better refined lists or possible nerfs in DH and other classes can shine.
For example, the secrets for rogue and the new legendary is awesome but I almost no see anyone using, the mage prime is fantastic but only deck mage have is highlander and have way too much albatroz in the meta, so, no one play mage anymore.
I think they are balanced (much more usable than most quests) and will see play, mostly in highlander decks or (worst case) after next years rotation. Just be a bit patient.
But i think some are really strong. Like the rogue, warrior, druid, mage, paladin or warlock ones.
The Hunter prime has potential, but is kinda mediocre just like the priest one.
I saw the Mage one being played quite a lot, probably because there's plenty of room for tweaks in Mage lists.
Primes aren't really a focus of the expansion - DH is and thanks to it, the set pretty much achieved an insane level of pupularity.
I wouldn't even be surprised to hear that they intentionally designed Primes as not very exciting, just to avoid them taking attention away from Illidan.
Just about all of them are either balanced or slightly above the curve. Some are seeing play in very specific decks and just about all of them are playable in highlander. So no, they don't need buffs. We should buff some of the cards we know are bad - like Savagery, or Magma Rager.
They are amazing value cards and definitely don't need a buff. They will be staples for a lot of classes. Not trying to be rude but why is this even a topic?
No need they are not archetype cards but they are great deck fillers
Exactly the opposite - I think that the idea was to build a deck around them (like hunter beast buff cards, rogue stealth or Shaman spell theme)
But since the cards are not good enough nobody builds decks to leverage the abilities.
They don't even have effects that you could build a deck around. They are standalone cards, which mostly do not offer or receive any support from/for a general strategy. Warlock's one could maybe be a part of some Demon archetype. You could maybe try combo otk with the Priest one (but it's too expensive). Paladin's one is obviously meant only for murlocs.
Other than that they don't seem like a part of a strategy. Just decent, late-game cards with nice effects. Solarian Prime is the best example of the trend - you just draw it and slam to clear the board. What strategy would you like to build around it? It's not like Yogg, which benefited from spells you have casted. And it is more or less the same for other primes.

If they didn't buff Un'goro quests (also a set theme) because most of them were unplayable they won't buff primes either.

Give more time.
the druid prime worked so good on my quest druid

The only one that's just bad is the shaman-prime.
Always expect the unexpectable!

Check out some of my decks:
The people want buffs, Blizzard
Blizzard: "Nice idea! Let's buff demon hunter by making all of it's class demons inmune to spells and hero powers :D"
Edit: haha sorry I couldn't resist to the bad joke xd
When we had super impactful Legendarys in the first set ,we saw what happened with Genn and Baku..

Google search: Is Hearthstone free to play?
Give an example of a buff that you would like to see.
The new class, the Demon Hunter, is the only really important thing about Ashes of Outland. Everything else is secondary.
I was thinking on 3 possible buffs
- the prime card will not shuffle to deck but given directly to your hand. (this is not OP in my opinion)
- Mana reduction on the generated prime version or the initial version (might be OP)
- shuffle 3 prime copies instead of 1. (might be OP, but can help consistency of the deck building around prime abilities)
Exactly the opposite - I think that the idea was to build a deck around them (like hunter beast buff cards, rogue stealth or Shaman spell theme)

The primes shouldn't be buffed. Most of them are perfectly fine. They should however buff other cards.

The Hunter Prime is very strong imo. Won me plenty of games around 1k legend.
