I expect this to be a staple in Warrior decks.
Probably, but Rocket Augmerchant goes in first I think.
The fact that this is a neutral provides a lot of potential shenanigans for classes that don't usually have access to on-demand divine shields.
Gonna pull a lot of swings in arena. Trade wisely.
The 2/1 body makes it better than Hand of Protection... but is a 2/1 body good enough for it to actually see play, when Hand of Protection basically never does? Or is the fact that it's neutral give it that chance?
I actually think yes. Divine shield and a 2/1 body lend themselves well to a zoo, or at least midrange style of play, so even if paladin specifically doesn't have that deck (due to the Hand of Protection comparison) at least one other class likely will. In particular, warrior already has a competitive tempo deck that consists mostly of cards that aren't rotating, and this card goes very well with the 3/3 that spawns a copy of a damaged minion (because this damages a minion *and* gives it divine shield, making for an excellent target).
I mainly mention the Hand of Protection comparison so that people don't lose their minds, but I do think the small additions here to Hand of Protection (a body and being neutral) make it good enough for inclusion.
Also, this card looks designed for Battleground. I could see them putting this at tier 5 or 6 (probably 6) - then again, being able to give *any* minion in Battlegrounds divine shield so easily might be a bit too strong.
This is going to be one of the go to 1 drops for a lot of decks as it is so valuable at any point in the game for value trades, especially with all the rush cards in the game right now
Time for a lot of blood!
This is insane. Give a friendly minion divine shield at nearly no cost, or pick off a minion with one health.
Meet the engineer.
Seems like a pretty decent Arena card, you can use it to finish off an enemie minion or to give one of your own minions divine shield for a good value trade.
