The upcoming changes boils down to removing Leeroy, which was the last card that allowed aggro decks to close games, and a giant buff to Priest's classic set, the class that naturally counters aggressive decks.
Its safe to say that the days of rock paper scissors are counted. Hello games of average length of 20+ minutes. Its safe to say that this is why they are adding the duplicate protection to all cards now, because you either get a high dust value control deck or you'll be unable to play the game.
It all fits perfectly. And I for one welcome our value overlords.
We just had a DRAGON-themed expansion (!!!) that ultimately led to an 80% aggro-oriented meta. Are you really that naive? As always, they'll reveal first all the big juicy (and eventually useless) control tools to lure preorders by control players (which are the ones that actually spend big money on the game) and then dump 4-5 cheap, broken supports for aggro archetypes (like some absurd 1cost murloc, or demon for zoolock or board buffer for druid) at the very end of reveal phase. They always did. And always will.
1) On the Blizzard announcement post, it starts today!

3) Because adding another playstyle not only brings more diversity but can als help balancing the other classes out by adding more ways to counter decks
3) They cant balance even 9 classes, so why not add another...
4) Aggro is not going anywhere.
The card reveal schedule isn't out yet, but since the expansion launches in three weeks, I think it is safe to say that cards will be revealed from next week.
Why is the new ranked system stupid? Faster progression, better matchmaking, more rewards - what's not to like? Please elaborate your criticism.
I honestly don't think one class more or less matters for balance at this point. But there is the issue of class identity: the existing class identities are not always that distinct, and adding a tenth class will not make it easier to create distinction. Then again, isn't variety good? Novelty? Personally, I'm excited to see something entirely new enter the meta.
Aggro definitely isn't going anywhere, agree with you completely. Aggro, uh, finds a way...

2) I just dont like the idea of League of Hearthstone or even Hearthstone Legends you know, I just do not like how it looks now, we will see...
3) ok, thats maybe true...however, Im very curious if they also add Monk in summer a Dead Knight in winter.

In what parallel universe are embiggen druid, any highlander deck, dragon hunter, token druid, zoolock, quest hunter, quest druid, galakrond rogue or cancer priest aggro? They're all pretty much midrange (and one control) decks, the only viable aggro deck in the DoD expansion was face hunter and last I checked it didn't make up 80% of the meta. Even galakrond warrior had its best iterations based on midrange lists rather than aggro ones.
Unless by """aggro-oriented""" you mean people who eventually want to go face because yeah, can't dispute that.
To be honest, I hope you are right. Aggro decks where the opponent just ignores you and takes a 5 second turn to hit your face are really, really bad. Face hunter and secret mage can just spam damage at you, while tabbing out or doing something else during your turn.
Exactly that's nearly as good as leeroy aggro isn't going anywhere of course you'll lose games sometimes from being short 1 damage or being 1 turn too late but still a solid replacement.
Yeah they take away an aggro card to add the whole class devoted to smash your face from turn 1 and also replace that card with another charge card that make all your chacracters ignore taunt.
Remember friend aggro never dead esp mordern aggro deck can kill you turn 5
They are adding a more face than face hunter class into the game, most of the new dragon tools hunter got aren't going away, aggro always dominate the once meta calcifies.
I think its safe to say that this post hasn't aged well after all the demon hunter cards revealed.
I seriously didn't expect Blizzard to go full on cancer aggro with the new class. Instead of multiple classes being able to burst, seems like they want Just Hunter and Demon Hunter to do the job.

I'm hoping Demon Hunter will have a viable aggro deck as everyone claims but so far I have my doubts.

You have no idea how many times I've heard that aggro is dying...
Aggro never dies no matter how much I would like it to sometimes.
Reckless Rocketer?

With the new Demon Hunter class, they are targeting an aggro archetype.
I would not count out aggro just yet.

This game is too tempo oriented to let aggro die
plus one to that. More marketing less balance.
