The new ranking system is promising but I still did not see any clear explanation about how the winning streak bonus works. You can double the stars you win so you can climb more that one rank? Am I getting this right?
I also want to know how the new rank compares to the old, for example diamond equals rank 2? Also when does the winstreaks stop, at platinum or diamond?

I think the diamond ranks are equivalent to rank 5-1 now. Also if I am right about the bonus stars, one could actually climb very quickly thanks to winning streaks...once you hit a ranked floor you loose one bonus start...once you loose all bonus stars you climb get one star for each wins no more bonuses. So, At diamond level we should be grinding as usual to reach legend.
The win streak stops when you are out of bonus stars..so you should be out of bonus stars when you reach Diamond 10 as I think that you can get 8 bonus stars max (taking into account the number of floors). So Diamond 10 is rank 5.
They said win streaks are seperate from the bonus multiplier... Winstreaks double your star multiplier, but I haven't seen them mention if win streaks end at any point, like they currently end at rank 5.

From what I understand..the winstreak double your bonus. so if you have 5 bonus stars and if you win game you get 5 stars instead of 1...if it's a win streak you get 10 stars...each time you reach a floor you loose one bonus star. the number of bonus stars you get depends of the rank you reached during the previous month.
The way I understood it, you can always get a winstreak bonus, even at Diamond, but the bonus stars from your previous season which work as a multiplier will eventually be used up as you reach rank floors on your climb.
A Winstreak always doubles the stars that you'd normally get for a win. And when your multiplier from last season is 5, you'd get 5 stars for a normal win, and 10 for a winstreak. But as you reach floors, that multiplier decreases, until you only get 1 star per win again, and 2 for a winstreak. But I can't recall them saying that you can't get winstreaks anymore at Diamond 10 or Diamond 5, only that you'd have no multiplier anymore.
They haven't really specified though how many stars you get at the start of a season for what rank, only that you could potentially get over 10 stars in one game if you've been legend the previous month. Guess we'll see how that's gonna work out.
What confuses me more is that your rank technically doesn't even matter anymore. With the MMR system in place, you are only matched up with people who are performing about as well as you, even on Bronze 10. In other words, you always go against the players you had faced on your top rank the previous month, regardless of what rank you actually are on. It depends on how flexible and responsive the MMR is. Maybe, if you start losing more games, you start getting matched up with players who struggle as well, but if Casual's MMR is any indicator, you won't ever drop beneath a certain level you once reached. And with that, climbing is going to be painful.
I get that they don't want experienced players to grind on new players for easy wins, but where the old system would effectively make the lower ranks inaccessible to you (unless you go out of your way to stay on a low rank), the new system makes you go against experienced players for the duration of the entire 50 rank ladder. Ands in case you don't have a big multiplier from last season, you might be burned out just by the time you reach Gold.
I can't say I'm excited to try to reach Diamond or Legend in the new system, and crawl up on a 50-something winrate from the very first game onward for 50 ranks.
If you made Legend on season 1, on season 2, you would be at diamond with 4 or 5 consecutive wins.. if you have a 10x multiplier, 3 consecutive wins is already 40 stars... Assuming that's when your multiplier slows down.
this new way sucks hard lets say you dont play much 1 morth then you need to win from lowst rank to highst rank with no win bonus... so this sucks so hard

multiplier slows down with each floor I believe so if there are 10 floors by the time you get to diamond, if you were legend you'd use up all your multipliers, at the same time I'd assume you'd get 1 bonus start for each ranked floor you passed the previous season, dont quote me on that, I might be completely wrong here

you were always gonna lose a lot of ranks if you skipped a month, why should you have the same bonuses as the people that play regularly if you dont play at all or very little? also how can you say it sucks if you havent even tried it yet? you can say that it might suck, but we wont know for sure until few seasons pass
also resetting everyone to the lowest rank kinda makes sense given you "collect" all the prizes from each floor as you pass them
As it looks getting to Legendary should be easier now, since you won't drop below Diamond 5 once you made it there from Diamond 10, so from there "just" another 15 wins are required to climb the peak of the mountain.
Overall getting 30 Wins from Diamond 10 to Legendary means more games are required in the new System, than it is now getting from Rank 5 to L, but the catch is if you cant drop from your "Savepoint" which lies in between the middle, that means your likelihood to hit that 15 Winstreak rather than 20 or whatever it takes now increases your chances greatly.

i know 100% it gonna suck it have WAY to many ranks befor you could skip 1 morth and be rank 10 then to get bonus star back to rank 5 was really easy now you cant skip a morth becouse you need to win 200 wins to get back

Maybe the bonus stars will be saved up from last month? Did they mention anything about this?
I am not sure if I like big dropbacks, even if there is a system in place to get back up again quickly. I know some do not agree, in starcraft 2, there are many people who drop tonnes of games before a ladder reset to get a lot of promotion at the beginning of next season. I would prefer to just stay where I belong, though, and rank up/down with my MMR as i deserve.
So the winstreaks stop at diamond 10 or diamond 5? Is diamond 10 equal to rank 10 or rank 5? Anyone know?
it's equal to rank 5.
rank 10 is plantinum 10
rank 15 is gold 10
rank 20 is silver 10
and rank 25 is bronze 10
So what equivalent do the 5's have, for example platinum 5 would be rank 7 or 8, diamond 5 would be rank 2 or 3? Also when do the bonus stars/winstreaks stop at? Some say diamond 10, others say diamond 5.

Looks that way. I have to say, I've read the whole blog post and I'm still somewhat confused about how the system works. Is everyone reset to bronze 10 at the start of each month, and then the rate at which you progress from there is streamlined depending on which rank you ended on last season? How exactly do win streaks work? Are the rewards for each rank cumulative, or do you only receive rewards for the rank you end up in at the end of the season? How do you reconcile matchmaking matching you with someone of similar mmr if they're not the same rank you are?
This all seems unnecessarily complicated to me.

Is there a clear breakdown of the reward system? I've seen a lot of confusing posts about that.
How does twitch chat will react to this?
