Out control a control deck works. Aggro won't do it as small minions are are easily taken care of but that just goes with playing a control deck. In my experience I have lost to control decks that have enough oomph with big minions to out control the control in control warrior. Interestingly enough the new Quest rez-priest has also given me trouble when I played CW over the weekend. The minions just get too big. Two brawls takes care of the mass rez but once they start growing a minion it isn't always easy to kill them off. I've won some but it took work when I did.
Quest Paladin also. Totally owns CW. Problem is too many lackey decks out there which consists of low power minions and easy to get by as a CW. Some matches take a bit longer but a win in the end almost each time. I think the percentage would be very different if there weren't so many people playing Shaman and Rogue Lackey decks.
If you hate control warrior it's worth trying a quest control shaman. Hecklebot and Shudder can pull up to 6 minions out of their deck just by themselves aiming for thier Elysiana. They don't do a lot of damage and you can do a lot of heals.
It's really sweet to see a control warrior concede knowing they are going to die of fatigue

I will agree somewhat but not for Elysiana as that isn't played much anymore with the taunt package now in the CW deck. But Omega devastator is a huge blow or the taunts themselves being pulled without being buffed up. CW can handle fatigue with their Dr Boom card draw and armor build up.
Kinda broils down to the fact that Warrior just doesn't run out of removal so baiting their removal isn't even a play anymore. Later on when they have Dr. Boom out all their Mechs are pretty much removal, Omega Assembly is 3 more removal spells, Elysiana just refills their deck after they run out of removal spells for more removal spells, Omega Devastator is essentially 2 removal spells in one with Dr. Boom, Mech Delivery more removal spells with a higher chance of Omega Devastator, one could argue Microbot hero power is more removal spells, 8 mana 6/12 taunt on 2 bodies with Rush is another removal spell. Warpath is 1 card removal for basically anything ranging 1-5 health coupled with the new Plague warriors have can clear any board with 2 spells. Brawl 1 card remove entire board of minions bar one (bit of variance but still pretty strong none the less). The way I see Warrior they have far too many efficient removal spells on top of Dr. Boom basically being a permanent removal tool.
One way they could downgrade Dr. Boom would be making it "Mechs in your deck and hand have Rush" very easy clause to understand and honestly I think that would downgrade Warrior enough to be manageable and maybe change the Microbot Hero power to "Summon 3 1/1 Microbots they have Rush" to not take away too much from that Hero power.
What bothers me is Pirate Warrior was Tier 1 back in the day when Patches had Charge Blizz nerfed Pirate Warrior just by nerfing Patches and Fiery Waraxe yet Blizz don't believe that Dr. Boom is a problematic card for Control Warrior. I used to love Control Warrior because you had to think so much about your removal and what to use it on otherwise you would run out of resources to deal with the right things but now it just feels like oh hey I have Dr. Boom I can just use whatever I want and not think about the game from a strategical standpoint. Conjuror Mage is still pretty much the same deck it was last expac with basically Puzzle Box and Phaoris added but obviously playing a 1 mana (thanks to Pocket Galaxy) summon 2 10 drops 1 6 drop 1 3 drop then Conjurer's calling Phaoris for 1 10/10 Taunt and 1 10/10 Divine Shield Reborn and a full board for 4 mana is definitely fun to play against but hey at least I can Zephrys on turn 10 for Twisting Nether when they do this on turn 6 if they highroll. Coupled with them still being able to play Mountain Giant on 4 or 5 which they can also Conjurer's Calling for a stupidly hard to deal with boardstate.
Honestly as someone who enjoys the game at the start of the expansion and the deckbuilding aspect it just feels like the same kinda decks last expac being absurd are still absurd and really takes away a lot of the enjoyment in the game tbh haven't even felt the urge to really play very much outside of daily quests which as someone who has hit Legend quite a few times is very uncharacteristic of me. I don't suspect the meta will settle too much from what is already out there when streamers/high legend players have already developed the vast majority of meta decks before the expac came out.
Sorry for the Wall of Text passion is kinda dying from HS right now.
TLDR; Nerf Dr. Boom Mad Genius and HoF Mountain Giant, potentially nerf Luna's Pocket Galaxy to make minions cost 2 or change the mana cost again.

This would be a fairly good way to nerf the card without going over the top.
I would change it slightly and say "Give all Minions/Mechs in your hand and deck Rush"
Sure and Quest Paladin can be destroyed by Combo Pirest, which can be destroyed by Highlander Hunter, which can be destroyed by Tempo Rogue, which can be destroyed by... Give me like 100k dust and I'll deal with every threat on ladder!
But serious, I'm not trying to be mean or anything, I'm just trying to make people realize that "Play deck X" is not a proper solution, but rather flawed game design, that we should not support. It's important especially now, when "normal" meta decks (not weakened budget decks) starts from 10K of dust (yeah, "free to play" my ass Blizzard...).

Judging by this very reply, you have the desire to have a deck that can beat all other archetypes. Card Games are not supposed to work that way. Even by the inherent archetypes like Combo, Aggro and Control, there is order and logic in there. It's a choice you make, when you pick up one of these archetypes. I like Control decks, and as such, know I'll struggle against Mecha'Thun Warlock, with like a 20% chance of me winning.
Fact of the matter is, Control is strong now, because we lack OTK decks on ladder. So there's Aggro and Control, and we both know who beats who.
I'll give the community this one: Control Warrior is the strongest Control deck on ladder right now, by a long shot. But what happens when you nerf that deck? The next best Control deck comes popping around the corner, which will send the community in another hissy-fit. Rather, Blizzard should look at giving other classes stronger Control tools. Control decks are having a blast now, because Combo is virtually nowhere. Until that changes, the overall sentiment of today's meta will not change.

We need them to un-nerf Alexstrasza so that she not only sets a player to 15, but also removes all of their armor. This would put a MASSIVE dent in a warrior's gameplan and would let decks burn them down even after the manage to accrue stupid amounts of armor.
When the CV use shield slam against your blink fox and you are like "yaay ! One big removal gone on a 3/3" and then he proceed to never run out of removals...

10 days after the new expansion, control warrior still overwhelm the top decks. I love this expansion, but the last expansion sucks!
Control warrior might be good but people will find ways to beat it soon enough

Mechathun Warlock is here to answer your CW issues.
They will nerf Boom...or they won't. Isn't this fun, waiting for blizzard to maybe do the right thing and fix their game? I think so.
If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.

How about removing the mech tag from Omega Devastator? No more generating it. No more magnetize synergy. No more rush from Dr. Boom.
This space is intentionally blank.

Rusty Recycler
Ironic. It could recycle others, but not itself.
Quest Pally destroys warrior. You should try it
Which is fine - i HATE mindless aggro shit decks, rot in hell!
Just go play quest paladin and start laughing at those pesky control warriors trying to remove everything but running out of removal. Great deck.
You know what is even more boring than playing 30 to 40 minute-matches?
These numerous complain-posts about Control Warrior every single day.
