I've been playing this game for a couple of years now(a little bit less lately) and have never had much problem with nerfs that blizzard decided to implement. This is probably going to be a quite a rant unfortunately, because the last batch of nerfs pissed me off.
The year where Ungoro,Frozen throne nad koblds where introduced spiked the power level of cards through the ceiling, which proved to be a very big mistake(quest rogue, druidstone, raza priest etc).It may be debatable to what extent, but ultimately decks that were created during that time(and now) with cards from those sets happened to be very polarizing, annoying and unfair.Cards like frostlich jaina(which i love using btw),deathstalker rexxar, quest rogue, warlock spellstone, hunter spellstone,Ultimate infestation, spreading plague and many other should never ever have been even printed.Oh tempo rogue played keleseth 1 or 2 times on turn 1/2->guess i lose ; cntrol mage didnt draw his jaina in 15 turns?guess he lost. There are a lot of cards like that mostly from those 3 expansions.
My point is - even though there are so many cards that are just problematic from those sets, there are even some cards that are problematic from the last 3 expansions(baku, genn for instance) blizzard has decided to nerf hunter spellstone(very much appreciated although a year late?),hunter's mark(why exactly?),flametounge totem(again why?,now a dedicated class card is worse than dire wolf),coldblood(why?rogue has always been a class with high burst potential, this was hardly better than blessing of mightat 1 mana) and the most annoying for me - equality.
Apart from spellstone all those nerfs are completely unnecessary.Equality nerf basically kils entire control paladin archetype, they didnt even nerf a combo, they merely decreased your chances against any aggro deck(which already wasnt that great).
So why exactly were those cards nerfed blizzard? No baku or genn change? Why keleseth,UI,Spreading Cancer,Branching paths, most heroes aren't yet nerfed?
You shouldn't let a kids card game get you so emotional. It is only a game and not reason to get angry over it.
There is a salt thread where this belongs with all the other people who are just so gosh darn ANGRY over a game. Maybe you all can start a support group to deal with this together.
Not exactly a salt thread,i am not complaing about one card being badly designed or class being too powerful nor am i complaing about one card being nerfed.I play only 3 classes - mage, priest and paladin, still while i hate rogue cold-blood nerf was not justified in any way nor flametounge nor equality nor hunter's mark. Those cards haven't been the problem ever,so if classic and basic sets are starting to pose problems, maybe it's time to implement kibler's idea.
The cards printed during the year of the mammoth weren't a mistake, it was a necessary bit of power creep to pull us out of the Gadgetzan meta. I can't speak for anyone else, but the months between Gadgetzan and Un'goro was the only time I took a break from Hearthstone for no other reason than the game being completely miserable to play. It seems a lot of people either forgot, or didn't experience, the lack of ... decisions that were involved during Gadgetzan. The game boiled down to stacking the largest jades, having Reno in your opening hand, or playing Pirate Warrior and smacking face. Just about every deck that tried to accomplish something else got destroyed before you had a chance to play your hand. The game has improved in more ways than I care to share since then.
So what? A few cards got nerfed ... instead of crying about the old cards you loved to use, maybe it's better to see this as an opportunity to try some of the cards in your collection you haven't played before. Some of them might turn out to be good.
So why exactly were those cards nerfed blizzard? No baku or genn change? Why keleseth,UI,Spreading Cancer,Branching paths, most heroes aren't yet nerfed?
Newsflash: Blizzard doesn't read this stuff. How could they? Utter drivel.
If the site had competent moderators, they would cleanup this crap.
at the same time people tend to forget that blizzard knows what's gonna be in the next 2-3 expansions, and when they nerf cards it's not only in reaction to current meta but also to what the meta might be in the future,
also I can't believe you really think that they don't read anything on the internet, I bet you they read everything, someone might even read this post, they watch every Kripp video and I bet you they listen, it's just impossible to react to every whiny kid on the internet
You can read the ‘why’ regarding the nerfs on the playhearthstone website.
As for the nerfs I think it’s not always the correct to influence the meta through nerfs. I would rather see underplayed cards being buffed. This way you can change the game in a positive way, because to me nerfs always feel like a negative thing regardless of it’s effect on the games health.
I agree that it's strange that they're not taking action against Baku and Genn, as they're by far the biggest offenders of powerlevel in the game, while still making the game increasingly stale, as most games playing the decks and against the decks feels exceptionally similar.

This is not entirely true, as I lose plenty more games to DK Heroes and High Roll decks. Odd and Even are just another flavor of the game.
If you had watched the Value Town interview with Iksar (Dean Ayala), you'd know that Blizzard is well aware of the power spike. Iksar specifically said that they don't intend to print ultra value cards like Rexxar, Jaina, Hagatha, and Dr. Boom 2.0 in the next year, that they intend to go back to the days of traditional HS gameplay, and that they are well aware of Baku and Genn and have a few different methods of solving the issue, but haven't settled on anything yet.
Iksar also provides a thoughtful explanation for each nerf and addresses potentially problematic cards such as Barnes and Preparation. It's a great video, I definitely recommend watching/listening.

This is what Kibler has said many times. Is there some reason to parrot it for the 10,000th time?
Don't get me wrong. I like Kibler, and often watch his streams and VOD's. But what you say here is nothing new under the sun. You are free to agree or disagree with his suggestions for the game. But the game developers have already responded to him and to the community.

I pay no attention to Princess Kibler. His comments/whines have really gotten on my tits over the last few weeks.
And that Value Town Interview with Dean Ayala is worth a million Kibler Comments on its own.
He comes across as honest and that he really cares about the game.
Kibler, on the other hand comes across as a spoilt child who can't have his favourite toy. Hearthstone has been very good to Kibler. Let's not forget this.
Hopefully Genn/Baku will be sorted come Rotation and the next Expansion will really go back to the old Minion Trading days.

Because, if you've seen/heard their response, which you apparently did, you would know that they admitted that these cards might be problematic and that they are, in fact, looking at them.
Why should we not continue talking about those cards then if that might potentially push them over the edge and actually make them adjust these cards? Should we just quietly sit here and hope Blizzard knows exactly what we want?
This makes a good point.... Why doesn't Hearthstone do more for me?!?! I mean I dedicate all this time dinking off playing the game... When is it going to make me a pizza?!?!
Why can't Blizzard do something more helpful like get me a beer after work?
Preach on brother... your salt isn't falling on deaf ears...

I said this long before Kibler made this recent video. I've been complaining that Blizzard have begun including more and more cards that are included in my "Unholy Trinity" of mechanics, that i believe are the current core issues of Hearthstone, with Baku and Genn providing "Infinite Value" in the form that they allow you to get more value out of your Hero Power than your opponent.
Currently what i see is that people always complain about either one of three types of cards, that all belong to different types of archtypes. These being Infinite Value for control decks (Like with Hero cards, Baku/Genn and Jade Idol), Mana Cheating effects for aggro and Midrange decks (Like Mysterious Challenger, Keleseth or Emerald Spellstone) or combos that deal an infinite amount of damage or almost infinite amount for combo decks (like Mecha'thun, Exodia Mage and APM Priest).
You can have extremely powerful tools that aren't complained about to near those degrees, despite them being on the same powerlevel in total, (like Flanking Strike or Defile). I personally believe these mechanics are the most hated, because they show the absolute extremes of those respective archetypes.
I predicted that Baku would be an extremely unhealthy card back before Witchwood was released, and i predicted the same thing for Mecha'thun for these exact reasons.

Anyone feel the same?
Understand that with the nerfs plenty of new cards are being played. New decks emerge and the same played out decks disappear.
Tell me any of this didn't happen?

"Spreading cancer" was nerfed btw. it was 5 mana before.
Druid is one of the weakest classes right now, so you cant really complain about any druid cards

The rotation will solve most of this.
