Much like the various weapon based cards in KFT could be used to predict Legendary Weapons in K&C (which I didn't do), we can extrapolate that the next expansion is going to be spell heavy due to several cards already revealed.
1) The Runespear and Rin, the First Disciple. Both are incredibly slow, with the Runespear having many things going against it and Rin being the literal slowest card in the entire game. These only make sense in slow, minion-light metas, and Priest just got at least two tools to help ensure that that's the type of meta we're gonna be living in.
What makes The Runespear good? Big, expensive spells that do big expensive things. What makes Rin good? People spending entire turns casting big expensive spells and buying you time.
2) We've got creatures that care for giant spells in Neutral. Much like how the Weapon matters cards were in Neutral in KFT, I think this is a point for Legendary spells. All signs (Arcane Tyrant, Spiteful Summoner and Grand Archivist to name three) point to large, big mana spells. Such spells are likely to be Legendary since we've had Legendary Hero cards, Legendary "Enchantment" cards, and now Legendary Weapon cards.
3) A lot of people have been asking for Legendary spells for a while now. Brode even announced Quests as being "kinda like the Legendary Spells you guys have been asking for".
If I had money, I'd be willing to be that's what's up.
Just some cool little ideas for legendary spells:
Priest: 4 mana, skip your opponent's next turn. (Temporus makes me think this'll be it). Shaman: 3 mana, refresh your mana crystals, overload (10). Mage: 6 mana, add one of every Mage Secret to your deck. Warlock: 8 mana, whenever you lose life because of an effect you control, gain that much life instead (lasts for the game).
Edit: "Minionless Hunter" only works if this is the case, too.
We already have them that was the point of all quests in Ungoro
Not really.
Ideally, a legendary spell would just be a REALLY ludicrous spell that does something crazy, like how a legendary minion does something crazy.
Something that A) Doesn't require you to start with it in your hand. B) doesn't have to be built around C) Is almost a win condition (Think Spectral Pillager but at 1, 2, or 3 mana). or D) Is powerful enough that it earns the "you can only play one of it in your deck" moniker.
All quests massively warp your deck, much more than say Tirion or Al'Akir would. Heck, even more so than Archmage Antonidas.
Please no, it's about time to stop this bs 2 class legendary per expansion. Makes game much more expensive. I'd say we get an adventure next.
Considering Team 5 has specifically said "No more adventures because they don't add enough cards into the meta adventures make no profit at all, we've fire the guy who put an adventure in hearthstone already, F*CK F2P player".

you know that all the expansions from now on are coming with free adventures, right? Frozen throne came with icecrown citadel and Kobolds & Catacombs comes with the dungeon runs

I know it's cool to hate on Team Five because Activision breaths down their neck to force them to make money, but the thing is that no one goes into Game Development because they want to make a ton of money. They do it because they love games.
Brode and Team 5 have made a ton of missteps, I'll be the first to say that, but you can't deny that they're listening to us when it comes to wanting more cards (expansions instead of adventures), wanting to experience the expansions (Free legendary of the hyped type), Priest is weak (Look at the state of it now), and so on. They care, and you'll never convince me that they don't.
Mind you, Before anyone starts thinking that I'm a Blizzard Apologist I'd also like to say that one of the first things I'd say to Team5 where I to ever meet them is "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SMOKING!? THIS IS NOT THAT DIFFICULT!"
Maybe if Preperation rotates out. I doubt there will be legendary spells because at the sound of legendary spells, all I can think of is "meh". I'm pretty sure something drastic is going to happen like extra deck (yugioh) or plainswalker (MTG) or other ideas they can get from existing card games. Legendary spells sounds to MEH.
Or maybe field spells (yugioh), that could be interesting.

Any legendary is only as exciting as the effect it gives you.

what does that statement even mean? no shit lol? I'm talking about introducing new game mechanics like hero cards, and incorporating legendary card status w/in those new game mechanic.
besides, you already have a legendary spell, its ultimate infestation and kazakus potion.
I mean would you really care about a legendary spell?
Legendary minion : 10 mana 5/5 battlecry: gain 5 armor, draw 5, deal 5 dmg legendary spell : Ultimate Infestation
asking for legendary spells is as equivalent to just saying that there should be 2 legendary minions for each class for every new set.
all im saying is, that it has to leverage a new mechanic; like i mentioned field spells that change boards to maybe benefit certain tribes.

It's almost like that's how it's been for the last 4 expansions now with K&C (Considering the Tri-Class legendaries were basically required if you wanted to play the classes).
Yes they are going to give priest a 4 mana spell that’s the same as mages quest reward. Truly you have broken the code
Have you seen the types of cards Priest is getting?
Blizzard should hire you jsut so that they could then fire you.
Priest got that effect in KNC with the drawback of your opponent having an extra turn first. For 6 mana. Sure, making it cheaper without the drawback sounds legit.

If I had money, I'd be willing to be that's what's up.

Another cool idea:
Druid: Deal 5 damage. Gain 5 armor. Summon a 5/5 Retarded. Draw 5 cards.

You think that priests are going to be given a free turn card that costs LESS than the same card given as a reward for Quest Mage?
legendary spell : Ultimate Infestation
