The point of this card is to stall. Its good against aggro, if you make it to turn nine, and it will also stall against control. Why do you want so much stall? For that new Warlock legendary of course. This will stall people out until you can play all those seals. Is that good? Who knows? But a highlander control demon warlock is looking like a possibility to me.
I held a Fireside gathering today and I am very surprised at the lack of tools that were offered to me. I couldn't find any official forums with tips on who to start the event so I was going in very blind. The building manager also called me and told me that I would have to move up the event two hours 4 days in advance because they were going to have to close early. I could not alter the event in anyway whatsoever or delete it and make a new one. I did link to a Facebook page and about 8 people showed up at the new time, but about 8 more showed up when the event was ending an I had to tell them that the building was closing. I purpose a system that lets people say that they are going to event, allowing the Innkeeper to see how many people are expected, and to allowing them to make changes to, or cancel the event, with an automatic update being sent to all those going. Wiz Kids uses a similar system in their Heroclix organizing and Facebook has a system like this as well. I know that this entire warlock promotion is considered a failure, but this was the kick that needed to become an Innkeeper like I wanted to for a long time. Learn from this Blizzard, and add more tools for the Innkeeper and participants beyond a single post that can never be altered.
As you know the new Warlock Hero was announced today and it is a gnome sitting on a monster. Well I though that I had seen this gnome before, and I was right!
As you can see the New gnome hero is wearing some pretty advanced looking gear, sporting a pair of pigtails, carrying a fishing pole, and riding a swamp monster. But we have already seen her before... Twice.
As you can see the art for Fen Creeper depicts a young girl wearing classes with pigtails fishing and riding a monster. I for one believe this makes them the same person, just that Fen Creeper is a depiction of her at a young age.
Here you can see a small gnome with red goggles riding a swamp monster in the Bog Creeper. Because this card came out later, I am assuming that this is a more grown up version of the our new hero. So although this hero may have seemed to come out of nowhere, she, and her monster, has actually been around for a long, long time.
Too bad that this is the first Warlock alternate hero. I believe that if this had been an alternate mage hero again then this much controversy wouldn't exist. But blizzard wants people to show up to Fireside Gatherings this Halloween and in the future so I doubt that they will make it available through other means. I also live over 100 miles from my nearest Fireside but they don't have an exception for Morgol so unfortunately they probably won't Nemsy Necrofizzle.
The draw back is drawing him because then he becomes the worst 1 drop in the game. Although it is the same as Stonetusk Boar You actually lose mana when you play it from hand because it could have been free. It is played a lot, but it will move out in two expansions and its not as if its a game winning card like Dr. Boom was because ti allowed for such a serious tempo swing. Patches in most cases just makes a better Alley Cat because often you play a 1/1 pirate like Nzoth's First Mate but both cats have a special ability and one of them is charge. Patches is like Bloodmage Thalnos in that it can be used in a lot of situations, but it doesn't mean that you win when you play it.
Its copying the card itself not the minion (if it is one). That is why faceless copies buffs (because it says copy that minion) and mimic pod does not (it copies the card from a database and not the card in its current condition).
Is it a nonsense thing? I just always figured that if you delt 3 damage to a now 4 health minion you were dealing the extra health first, then the two on the card leaving 1 health from the card.
I don't get why everybody keeps justifying nerfs like this by saying warrior has always had strong base cards. The fact of the matter is that they really don't. This is the 4th nerf to a base warrior card (warsong commander, charge, execute, firey war axe) and the cards that they have left (heroic strike, cleave, korkron elite, whirlwind, shield block, arcanite reaper) are either aggro-midrange (heroic strike, korkron, arcanite) or control (sheild block, whirlwind, cleave) are only really played in those archetypes or not at all. Take a look at some serious offenders, like mage. Fireball, arcane intellect, and frostbolt have been played in every single mage deck since the game came out. Plus water elemental, polymorph, frost nova, and flamestrike are all extremely powerful and can easily be played. Why does blizzard stomp on warrior so much when mage is probably the biggest offender of their "weaker core set" anyway?

I believe a promotion for it is going on in Asia right so you'll need an Asia account to get one yourself.
