So i don't believe blizzard had this in mind when they released UI that it will absolutely break the meta. Also the main problem is that UI is not the only thing added to druid arsenal. The more annoying aspect is that druid has no weakness anymore. -Plague to counter early tempo/agression -Druid of swarm 2 mana 1/5 wtf? -Crypt lord -the dk itself
All these are added so the druid would play them early to destroy the opposing aggression. As if it isn't obvious enough already.
However, the main reason for all of this to me seems that blizzard really wanted to make the Quest druid work. Infact they're tried making all the quests a little more viable. Cuz lets admit apart from rogue/mage/warrior none of these quests saw any competitive play. Thats also a reason why it took blizzard so long to nerf rogue quest. Cuz these quest have the potential to shape the future meta. We can all admit alot will change in the coming year when Karahzan/WOTG/mean streets rotates out. -No druid, Thank God! -No C'thun (Doesnt matter really) -No Big/Razakus Priest
Its no suprise that blizzard failed horribly with some of these quests. However it seems quite obvious from some of the cards added this expansion have been to support the previous expansion quest legendaries
Priest- Quite a few deathrattles have been added to the game. Including the new mechanic of "If it's your opponents turn." Plus priest did get obsidian statue. Furthermore since the quest demands "Summoning" Both eternal servitude/Shadow essence work.
Hunter-Tbh no support has been seen for this deck and frankly as long as mid range hunter exist which was made even stronger in un'goro no amount of 1 drops can change that. I believe the DK is some manner maybe supports the quest in a way that it provides value and is low cost. Cuz the problem with hunter quest was simply running out of steam wayyy to quickly and even having steam didn't do much cuz the playing 1 drops on turn 4-6 doesn't scream "I WILL CRUSH YOU." It just shows your very desperate attempt at completing the quest.
Warrior-Nothing to say this was already strong
Mage again-Pretty strong, some might argue cards like simulacrum have been added they help you complete the quest early. I think thats true. Ghastly conjurer, why not- spell and defence
Paladin-Blizzard didn't bother giving two shits abt this one. I think they already realize this was executed extremly poorly. However i do feel they've given us a few divine shield minions which tbh gain more benefit from spell buff unless you're up again mage, So i guess blizzard tried?
Warlock- This is funny cuz despite getting a few decent discard cards, the imp rotates out nxt expansion so yea nothing can save this deck.
Shaman- The freeze shaman is just horrendous and disgusting on so many levels. Moorabi at 6mana 4/4, i honestly find this baffling that noone at blizzard objected the cost of this card and realize how stupid the cost was. suffice to say freeze shaman wont see any play. So yea the quest wasnt supported much. people have tried running moorabi but idk how successful that deck has been. Maybe brrrloc helps, i doubt however. Frankly this quest was okish to being with.
Druid- Now shoulder to shoulder with the paladin quest, This quest is absoulty trash... and frankly its not even fun, being brutally beaten down by your opponent as you desperately attempt to summon 5 minions with 5 or 5+ attack only to realize your at 5 health and your opponent could give crap abt your barnabus. I think most of these druid cards were added to aid the quest. The draw aspect especially completing the quest and using all your nourish for either early draws or ramp leaves your with no draw the UI might have been a way to counter that and turn the tide in your favour.
Now its obvious this isnt seeing any play and aggro druid still being extremely strong nerfed UI for blizzard would ruin the future for druid. Frankly idk how good this will be but atleast seems plausible and worthwhile. Im not a druid lover, well tbh druid is my favorite class but that was in the days of violet teacher. Mid-token druid, i still play that deck in wild sometimes. It wouldn't bother me if UI is nerfed i don't even have the druid quest, infact i have 1 druid legendary (Cenarius) and i use that in my mid range token.
Aslo it seems token is likely to stay cuz 2 of the more fundamental cards are fledgling/living mana. And nothing i mean nothing i worse than seeing innervate to flappy bird on turn 1.
To me it seems this isn't the path blizzard would prefer taking. What are your thought regarding this matter, do share. They might nerf innervate but that would damage alot of other wild decks.
Whenever nerfs come around Blizzard regularly targets problem cards that will be in standard forever. So I doubt we will see a UI nerf too. It's far more likely they will rotate Innervate imo. It's a problem card. It has always been a problem card. Druid maintains it's identity of ramp with Wild Growth and Nourish. Another ideal hit would be the Spreading Plague Scarabs. Make them 1/3s. I think those two changes alone would make a huge impact on druid's win rate. Won't be surprised if we see 3 or 4 cards nerfed though. And I won't be surprised if UI is one of them.

they cant rotate innervate because its a basic card. they have only put classic cards into the hall of fame... it wouldnt make sense because new players would come along and see druid with only 8 basic cards and the rest have 10 cards. you see the problem?
I'm thinking it will be a UI nerf and innervate to rotate out. Although.... in one of those interviews that always seem to make them look incompetent, they did say that UI wasn't the reason for druids being so strong.... I think it's part of the reason but not all of it
I don't think they will touch Innervate . It's the iconic Druid class card together with Wild Growth. And they never touched the basic set. besides that, innervate never caused unsolvable problems. It gives you tempo in exchange for card advantage. If they nerf innervate, they will have to rework/rebalance the whole class set(s) (which they should imho do anyway at some point).
I think they will give Ultimate Infestation the proper Blizzard nerf treatment (i.e. it will be a dead card afterwards). As long as it provides viable draw and tempo on turn 10, Druid will always be able to negate the disadvantage from recklessly ramping up. If it turns out that UI with the digit 4 is still played, nothing will change (getting 4 cards is enough to proceed the Jade train). And with 3, it will not be viable (3 cards , 3/3 , 3 damage and 3 armor seems to be about worth 9-10 mana which sounds fair, but is far from enough for a 10 mana card). So 3 it is.
Maybe they will also nerf Spreading Plague , but I am not sure about this.

But the nerf to 3's will still see the card played. The damage armor, and goul are nice. But what makes the card important is the card draw along with the rest. Its still about 12 mana value for 10. If its innervated out on 8 its still crazy. The jade cycle will continue late in the game with possibly 2 or more jade idols coming back when the jades are already big. But I dont see them making it all 3, but all 4. At all 4 its even better.

I don't see anyone playing a 10 mana card because it gives you 3 cards (and the rest is just useless at 10 mana). That's Nourish for 5 mana.
If they make the digit "4", I think Ultimate infestation is still viable and thus, nothing will really change. Drawing 4 is kind of Sprint , getting a 4/4 is about 3.5 mana, 4 damage is 2.5 mana and 4 armor is just a bonus for free. Then UI is still worth around 13 mana which likely is enough to still see play. Druid's winrate gets a small dent, but the overall power of the class and in particluar Jade Druid will not change.
So I think they will change UI to the digit 3 and burrow it on the graveyard for overnerfed cards. But I could be wrong, of course. Just my present opinion.

"Deal 5 damage. Draw 5 cards. Gain 5 armor. Summon a 5/5 ghoul"
One card (yet alone a non legendary) should be able to sway the momentum of a game the way this does every time.
“Put your faith in the Light!”
I don't understand why the User Interface should be changed, i think it's simple and nice, tho there are a few bugs with the cards in hand sometimes.
UI Should be "Deal 5 damage. Gain 5 armor. Choose one: Summon a 5/5 Ghoul, or Draw 5 cards."

Join me at Out of Cards!
I DON'T THINK they nerf Innervate because they have started to lean away from that philosophy with the Hall of fFame.
I DON'T THINK they rotate anything now because it's not the end of the year of the Mammoth.
I DO THINK they nerf UI because they tend to nerf cards that won't rotate soon and are causing problems.
I DO THINK they nerf Spreading Plague as well because the card is just as much to blame. It's death against aggro and still very good against control.
lock this nonsense

If you are in your first year of playing please read this post.
Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.
While drawing 4 is not a huge nerf, dealing 4 damage and summoning only a 4/4 would be pretty impactful actually.
No nerf for UI. Really Blizzard?
