Not OP, just way too slow. Won't see any competitive play.

It's just a gimmicky card that will have some nice sparktv moments. I love gimmicks :3

posted a message on My Miracle/Jade rogue, some feedback would be appreciated :)

Edwin boi is an absolute beast and well, a staple in pretty much every rogue deck. I've both won and lost matches by his grace. When he comes out as an 8/8 or 10/10 early in game and the opponents fails to beat him down he can bombard the opponent down ruthlessly.

Sherazin on the other hand, i feel is more of a tech card. The fact that he nvr leaves the board is good but i've never really considered him to be staple. He's good to own not craftworthy imo. He can be replaced by Valanar too which gives rogue the heal it so desperately needs. But ask me Sherazin > Valanar any day.

Conclusion: If u enjoy playing rogue Edwin is a must have. I had to craft him and I must say i'm very pleased.

Also something to keep in mind miracle/jade is generally a weak deck atm so don't go expecting a win rate above 55%

So in my opinion this was by far one the more pathetic attempts at creating an interactive event.
This is however just my opinion, everyone is entitled to their own and i respect that.

However what i've seen from the streams and the matches that took place yesterday is just how terrible the whole new player experience is in hearthstone.
Getting brutally beaten down by top tier meta decks even when you're a new player? how does this match-making even works?
The streamers frustration is quite prevalent amidst their streams, barely committing anytime to play on their new account.

I kinda felt that this was a way to show the new player experience can be fun, the whole "out of meta" decks competing against one another is a huge fail. You're still seeing that every player is just trying to make a near variant of the current or old dominant decks. The matches are all aggro and the stream which is more aggressive at the beginning wins the game.

I feel this is clear enough of an indication for team 5 to do something regarding the new player experience
    Thoughts?

posted a message on Is Hearthstone way too simple?

Now ben brode did say that we absolutely do not think our players are dumb. However, the initial reasoning given on the murloc nerf was a clear indication that hs team believes the game needs to simplified and dumbed down for the players. The whole equality combo being apparently too complex for some people, possibly for those who can't do simple basic mathematics, i was honestly shocked when i first read the reasoning.

posted a message on 3 Things Hearthstone can learn from Gwent!

The reward system is absolutely disgusting in hearthstone.

I get it that if you want to be rewarded go play arena, for me i don't like arena, i don't like playing random ass decks alot of people do and some are actually good enough to consistently get a decent amount of wins and get rewards.

Albeit, other than arena there are no rewards offered, grinding isn't rewarded, basically no motivation to play.
40g quest are a freakin joke, seriously change that shit! The "win 3 games" literally forces you to not play the game that day.
    1/4th the dust value. Really?

People complain this is a business not a charity case, but i feel people need to understand that customer satisfaction means something. I see alot of people complain abt this issue. I'm not asking for free stuff i'm only asking them to reward me properly.

I've spent a decent cash on this game, and frankly that's the only time i feel rewarded. I feel this issue needs to be addressed properly and brought up more often during interviews.

posted a message on Really bad card ideas

Yeaaaaa these are really broken cards...

-ShadowHealer: Binding Heal/Flash Heal ---> 1 mana deal 5 damage. Priest of the feast, Holy fire deal 10 dmg!! Greater Healing potion *_*

Otk available: with just thaurison your minion anytime, when all cards are assembled ---> 2 mana minion, binding heal x2, flash heal x2, greater healing potion.
Alot to be done with priest of the feast, Otk here as well but alot of cards required: Shadow healer, Priest of the feast ---> Binding heal x2 (16 dmg) 2x circle of healing (6dmg) 2x silence (6dmg) any 1/0 mana spell, But yea thats not happening
Tbh love the card for the gimmicks!

-Hoarding welp, Could see play in mage quest (too slow perhaps cuz doesnt help in drawing). Maybe make lillian voss a little better ehhh??

Merrow: yea wtf?? broken as hell, with cards like Dr.7, Sylvannas, Rag, Alex, lich, ysera, y'shaarj, antonidas (the list goes on). Make blood of the ancient work?? O.O

I haven't made any hs cards but use make yugioh cards back when i was actually quite young infact. Made completely over the top ridiculous cards!!  Actually later tried making cards that were decent, those days yugioh didn't have any good online game so we would design them and print them and play!! Ahh the good ol'days! Every now and then we would find a broken interaction and exploit it to hell and eventually fighting over the cards led to that card nvr seeing any play again.

posted a message on What happens to evolve shaman after Whisper of the old Gods is rotated out?

Tbh its hard to say, but safe to assume its gonna get hit really hard.

-Thing from below: great card, inevitably costs zero. Taunt. Its a must literally every shaman deck. (Maybe not every but definitely token)
-Jade Synergy: Aya/Jade Claws/Jade Lightening. Hard to replace these cards, they fill your board with stronger minion successively, the synergy is quite clear here
-Obviously Evolve/Devolve Both: No explanation required here , the deck is built around them.

Safe to say the deck will be good and perhaps only get better in wild with upcoming expansions. As for standards, i'm not a pro deck builder, i enjoy building gimmick decks with the limited collection i have and frankly doesn't really win me any games.
Buuuuttt yea as it stands now, evolve shaman will be hit pretty hard but seeing the DK and cards like saronite chain gang, Rattling Rascal. It seems blizzard wants the evolve deck to live a bit longer.

Without knowing what cards the upcoming expansions brings it hard to say. But it seems the evolve will take a different route with limited evolution available it could go be building around something entirely different and having the Dk as a separate win condition.

    Maybe :3

posted a message on Why UI is unlikely to get nerfed

So i don't believe blizzard had this in mind when they released UI that it will  absolutely break the meta. Also the main problem is that UI is not the only thing added to druid arsenal.
The more annoying aspect is that druid has no weakness anymore.
    -Plague to counter early tempo/agression
-Druid of swarm 2 mana 1/5 wtf?
    -Crypt lord
    -the dk itself

All these are added so the druid would play them early to destroy the opposing aggression. As if it isn't obvious enough already.

However, the main reason for all of this to me seems that blizzard really wanted to make the Quest druid work. Infact they're tried making all the quests a little more viable. Cuz lets admit apart from rogue/mage/warrior none of these quests saw any competitive play. Thats also a reason why it took blizzard so long to nerf rogue quest. Cuz these quest have the potential to shape the future meta.
We can all admit alot will change in the coming year when Karahzan/WOTG/mean streets rotates out.
    -No druid, Thank God!
    -No C'thun (Doesnt matter really)
    -No Big/Razakus Priest

Its no suprise that blizzard failed horribly with some of these quests. However it seems quite obvious from some of the cards added this expansion have been to support the previous expansion quest legendaries

Priest- Quite a few deathrattles have been added to the game. Including the new mechanic of "If it's your opponents turn." Plus priest did get obsidian statue.
Furthermore since the quest demands "Summoning" Both eternal servitude/Shadow essence work.

Hunter-Tbh no support has been seen for this deck and frankly as long as mid range hunter exist which was made even stronger in un'goro no amount of 1 drops can change that. I believe the DK is some manner maybe supports the quest in a way that it provides value and is low cost. Cuz the problem with hunter quest was simply running out of steam wayyy to quickly and even having steam didn't do much cuz the playing 1 drops on turn 4-6 doesn't scream "I WILL CRUSH YOU." It just shows your very desperate attempt at completing the quest.

Warrior-Nothing to say this was already strong

Mage again-Pretty strong, some might argue cards like simulacrum have been added they help you complete the quest early. I think thats true. Ghastly conjurer, why not- spell and defence

Paladin-Blizzard didn't bother giving two shits abt this one. I think they already realize this was executed extremly poorly. However i do feel they've given us a few divine shield minions which tbh gain more benefit from spell buff unless you're up again mage, So i guess blizzard tried?

Warlock- This is funny cuz despite getting a few decent discard cards, the imp rotates out nxt expansion so yea nothing can save this deck.

Shaman- The freeze shaman is just horrendous and disgusting on so many levels. Moorabi at 6mana 4/4, i honestly find this baffling that noone at blizzard objected the cost of this card and realize how stupid the cost was. suffice to say freeze shaman wont see any play. So yea the quest wasnt supported much. people have tried running moorabi but idk how successful that deck has been. Maybe brrrloc helps, i doubt however. Frankly this quest was okish to being with.

Druid- Now shoulder to shoulder with the paladin quest, This quest is absoulty trash... and frankly its not even fun, being brutally beaten down by your opponent as you desperately attempt to summon 5 minions with 5 or 5+ attack only to realize your at 5 health and your opponent could give crap abt your barnabus. I think most of these druid cards were added to aid the quest. The draw aspect especially completing the quest and using all your nourish for either early draws or ramp leaves your with no draw the UI might have been a way to counter that and turn the tide in your favour.

Now its obvious this isnt seeing any play and aggro druid still being extremely strong nerfed UI for blizzard would ruin the future for druid. Frankly idk how good this will be but atleast seems plausible and worthwhile.
Im not a druid lover, well tbh druid is my favorite class but that was in the days of violet teacher. Mid-token druid, i still play that deck in wild sometimes. It wouldn't bother me if UI is nerfed i don't even have the druid quest, infact i have 1 druid legendary (Cenarius) and i use that in my mid range token.

Aslo it seems token is likely to stay cuz 2 of the more fundamental cards are fledgling/living mana. And nothing i mean nothing i worse than seeing innervate to flappy bird on turn 1.

To me it seems this isn't the path blizzard would prefer taking. What are your thought regarding this matter, do share. They might nerf innervate but that would damage alot of other wild decks.

I was really skeptical regarding the viability to finja but the card works great in murloc pally.
So if you're keen on completing your murloc pally deck i would recommend finja.

Its really hard for them to kill, they usually set up a big taunt so the effect doesnt trigger but thats when u bonemare/Blessing/Spike it and  the gain board control.

posted a message on How viable is Highlander Priest in ladder at the moment?

So right now i'm using miracle rogue/murloc pally in the ladder with the occasional dk mage. Frankly none of these decks are complete im missing a piece or two but they do fine without them.

however, my highlander priest lacks a few synergy cards and I feel like investing a bit in this deck, however i don't want regret it later.
So apart from Raza and Kazakus i feel like i could use some other cards that could boost my playing experience. I feel like some of the more safer crafts would include:
-N'zoth (great with obesiden statue)  / (Also great in alot of other decks including control pally with tirion)
-Ysera (maybe go for a dragon Razakus) / (Could use in my big druid)
-Lich King (A generally good control card that could turn the game in my favor)
-Thalnos (This would also boost my Rogue and Mage)
-Lyra (Im not really sure abt this, but its generally considered good in priest, right?)

Also If any of you highlander users could tell me how the deck performs generally, i've noticed this deck is slowly dying, i've been seeing it far less than before.
Maybe people have figured out how to counter it. Is it even worth the investment?

Also if you have any other cards in mind that would help the deck, do share.
    Thank you!

posted a message on How much cash are you willing to spend on hearthstone??

    Quote from FFBEFred >>

I'm a newcomer to the game - I never thougth before that I'll like it so never played it before. Installed the game in mid-July and I'm hooked since then. Knowing the nature of these games I knew that I have to put in some dough if I want to catch up with the playerbase so I did that. Did it, and then did some more. Now, after nearly 400$ in just 2 months, with a good collection but still missing many good/funny cards (standard only), I've decided that I'll stop spending until the next expansion. I will probably buy the pre-order and save the gold for additional packs but I'm not sure that I will ever be able to keep up with the big spenders and have a full or nearly full collection.

This is something that scares me too ive have spent around 200 euros at the moment but frankly im still way behind some of my F2P buddies who started early. I feel like i have soo much catching up to do its almost impossible unless im willing to spend alot and frankly i don't really want to spend an amount that I will regret later.

If u don't mind, would you share how you generally feel spending 400 in 2 months. Do u think it was worth it?

posted a message on How much cash are you willing to spend on hearthstone??

    Hello all!

So I started playing hearthstone when WOTG came out but I got serious near un'goro.
I had always hoped of having a decent collection of legendaries so maybe one day I go make my own gimmick decks, play only with the top tier and maybe some day just some day get the legend card back.

Hence i was committed, committed to reach the ranks of legends so i decided from that day to buy all pre-purchase expansion bundles, alas this proved to be too little because i had too much catching up to do, i had no WOTG cards and only a few mean streets cards so i decided just this once to also buy karazhan, another 24.99 euro. Now, a bit more satisfied getting an abundance of quality cards i enjoyed a couple of months, spent my rest of days buying WOTG and getting literally the worst of legendaries.

Come KOFT, I knew I had to buy another bundle, soon after i joined hearthpwn and started netdecking only to realise i barely have any vanilla cards, half of the rares missing, barely any worthwhile epic. This was a problem because I was already committed to buying only mean streets cards this expansion.

Now being a fresh player is very difficult, i did realize it was literally impossible to complete even a collection of rare cards this way.
I was also really scared to start my run at arena since i don't want to mess up daily pack buying ability.

So soon from spending strictly 49.99 per 4 month i decided, ill spend 49.99 per 3 month, which actually opened some space for me to buy some classic packs.

Now im not that financially constraint, im a university student and not really having a family to support i do end up having enough to spend a couple whereever i want. Before hearthstone i've really spent any money on any game this way so i feel rather strange investing in a game this way.

Now i've reached a stage where I feel i can spend more but im not exactly willing to. I feel trying to break into wild and get atleast the commons and rares since i absolutely adore some of the crazy shenanigans currently possible in wild. That being said i do spend a handsome amount of hours per day on this game, maybe 4-5 hours now that i'm on vacations.

So my question to u is, what's the normal amount for you out there who also spend money on games, how do you manage your budget. How do u come to terms with how much u've spent and how do u plan on where and when to spend next?

P.S I do feel spending money is a bit strange since i've nvr really done this before. I used to play this mmo called pocket legends and frankly didnt spend a dime and was among the richest F2P merchants out there, the game sadly got discontinued which made me glad that i didn't spend a penny.

Thanks for taking the time out to read and reply to this.

posted a message on The problem with Miricale Rogue
    Quote from Bestguyinspace >>

It's unfortunate that rogue has got the shaft in the prior few releases. Miracle has gotten a couple cards here and there but they often seem to be too over costed or under-statted. Now, I've argued with a few of my friends about this in the past and just because c certain rogue cards see play does not make them "good". Shaku and Sherazin are perfect examples, Sherazin is definitely better than shaku but they already pale in comparison to Edwin and then even more so when you look at a legendary like Tirion Fordring. But the problem seems to be a lack of options. I've been a rogue main since the gvg release and i still miss the oil rogue play style. We only have miracle and unlike many other decks, since ours is so synergy oriented, you don't have enough parts to swap out in exchange for tech cards or anything like that. Fitting black knight or eater of secrets seems to bog down miracle rogue in the worst of ways. However, I don't always think this is a rogue problem as much as it is evident of the hypocrisy and general shoddiness of blizzard's concept of both balance and class identity. In my opinion, it's fine that rogue doesn't have class taunts or heals but they should have burst and they should have card draw, features that simulate a cut throat or pick pocket in a card game pretty well. But other classes, in recent memory have had no thematic weaknesses. Druid has their ramp and prior also shared a weakness to wide boards. No longer is that the case thanks to a combination of tempo ramp cards like Jade blossom, mire keeper, and innervate making them able to intercept wide boards with early spreading plague or double swipes.

Okay, I'm a little drunk right now, so this may be a chaotic mix of some good points and some complaining, but I just think blizzard really, really needs to take a look at EVERY class and attempt to balance the basic and classic sets towards a specific class identity with a strength and weakness considered in the process. Supposedly, rogue is supposed to be the card draw class, yet that identity seems to primarily come from synergy with auctioneer (a neutral), we have Sprint and when you compare it to nourish or even worse yet to UI. It's not even close. Okay okay, yes we have prep, but you can't prints shitty cards that rely entirely on synergy with another card to be playable. It really just doesn't make any sense. It's as if the rogue spells are all nerfed because of the existence of preparation. Isn't prep supposed to be a reward for a card that is essentially "do nothing unless you have a spell to play with it". The same mentality that went into that so called "balance" was never considered when they printed the strongest 10 Mana card ever for the class that will get there faster than anyone else. Why isn't UI nerfed to compensate for the fact that it will be played on turn 5 or 6? Fuck you blizzard.

Alright, angry drunk rogue fanboy rant over.

Man this is sooo true, Miralce rogue generally cant be tweaked as much, there is absolutely no space for cards like lich king.

The deck in general relies soo much on combo, this is especially true after the nerf to conceal, before the nerf u could set up a decent auctioneer and stealth it so it doesn't die instantly and u can gain full advantage, now u have to wait for the perfect turn to set up your auctioneers, edwin and gaints and they still get removed easily and thats pretty much when its game over for u.
