Hello guys. So after playing Control Paladin, Control Mage, Dragon Thief Priest, Midrange Hunter, Plant rogue and other decks these past weeks, i want to try something new.
I've laid my eyes upon Lakkari Sacrifice and Jungle Giants, mainly because i already have the rogue, Hunter, Shaman and Warrior quests and wanna keep experimenting. The Paladin quest seems too risky and the Mage and Priest quests seem like they actually weaken the deck instead of strenghtening it.
Why i'm thinking about the Druid and Warlock ones? Because i saw this video of Trump playing them:
They are the decklists for the Tavern Brawl deck recipes we had recently. Now, my main concern of course is, will i be wasting my dust?
The Druid deck seems solid and i have seen recently many videos of the pros experimenting with it. However, i lack Tyrantus, both Giant Anacondas and Jungle Giants, which would mean an investment of 4k dust.
The Warlock deck seemed like viable in the video, it's sort of control Warlock and it looks like quite fun. I'm lacking Clutchmother Zavas and Lakkari Sacrifice, meaning i'd have to drop 3,2k dust. This deck really seems appealing to me.
Has anybody tried this decks, can anyone provide feedback on both Lakkari Sacrifice and Jungle Giants? I currently have 6k dust reserved for next expansion, i already crafted and got from packs everything i wanted and thought i'd save those 6k dust for next expac. However im tempted to craft one of these, but dont wanna end up just wasting the dust.
I mainly play casual, for fun but i like to win sometimes ofc, hence my question. Thanks for the answers.
I can say as a druid player, the druid quest is not worth crafting if you want to win at all with it. Their are a lot of fun deck ideas but none of them work, even in casual there are too many aggro decks. It is fun to play against priest though.
Druid Quest is the only legendary card I got out of my pre-order. And it is painful trying even to win daily quests with it in casual.
Maybe it would be better with a deck constructed around it, but it's still one of the weakest quests, and I'm not about to spend thousands in dust trying to make it work when there are so many viable, inexpensive decks right now.
But if dust is burning a hole in your phone, by all means try it out.
Druid quest is really bad and boring. Warlock quest is mediocre but fun and has much more value. It has potential for the future but now it isn't enough to ladder with it easily. I'm using this list below.
i don't like the dudu quest - at first i was like "hell yeah, big minions"
but i'm sure you will get bored after a while even if you play it in casual and get barnabus, you just put him on the board, then draw, draw, draw to get the value and that's it nothing too exciting (or at least for now)
I tried Druid because I loved the general idea, but it is so bad, too bad to even have fun with it. And i can not imagine what cards Blizzard would have to introduce in the next expansions to make it better, because the basic concept is just too bad.
Warlock on the other hand, while also being not too good, seems like a deck you can at least have fun with. You can actually have a decent winrate, and here, Blizzard could introduce cards in the future that make that deck better.
Both quests actively reduce your chances to win. Warlock would rather have an early game minion to play, and Druid can't afford to durdle around and play with a one-card handicap. Both rewards either help you win an already won game, or do essentially nothing to save you if you were losing.
Both decks can be good - however Discard Lock and Ramp Druid are better without the quest than with it.
I opened both Warlock and Druid quests on opening day, and a Tyrantus to go with the Druid Quest.
I love playing Zoo/Demon/Disco Warlock, and have had my best ranks with it (4 and 7). I was SO looking forward to the new discard cards and quest. Soon after I crafted Clutchmother Zavas.
Warlock quest is pathetic. If you ever pull it off, the reward (2 3/2's every turn at the END of your turn) is about worthless (usually after turn 8, good luck with that). Zavas is too slow, was only ever a "win more" card for me. I love Discard Warlock. These two cards are not fun.
Druid Quest is somewhat more fun to play, I tried various builds, netdeck and my own, wild and standard. In the end (for me) it was a slow boring deck, that seldom needed the quest to win with. Some room for experimentation here may prove me wrong, but the game play was pretty linear in Standard and pretty slow in wild.
I wouldn't recommend crafting either of these quests.

Go druid, warlock quest is so bad
Stay thirsty my friends
I opened Lakkari Sacrifice. I played it a few times early on but never completed the quest, you win or lose before that.
Definitely not worth crafting. Maybe warlock will get cards later on that will make it viable.
