Faerie Dragon, twilight drake, Drakonid, bookwyrm, nether spite historian, ysera, deathwing, Alexstrasza, etc. Are all still strong cards and in the game. I doubt there we be any dragons in ungoro, but the archetype isn't dead. Wouldnt be surprised is dragon deathrattle priest becomes a thing.
There was a satirical quest where you were supposed to slay 15 "dragons" in Un'goro Crater, so I expect a card could reflect that, or they could simply give the card a text "Maximillian of Northshire still thinks it's an evil dragon."

Drakonid and the historian are such powerful cards.. They can still see play in a control heavy priest with cards like ysera trigger the effect.. Dragons aren't gone, but the current dragon priest as you know it is dead.. It will be a much more control oriented style.. Possibly using deathrattle + Dragons.. Azure drake rotating hurts this a lot though.. That would be the perfect card to make it work
I don't expect any significant dragons in the expansion. Maybe one or two random cards. I expect more dragons in one of the next two expansions. I don't think Blizzard will let dragons die as an archetype. Just a little while with them greatly weakened.
I'm thinking I may have to go with a Dragon highlander deck, likely incorporating Shadowform and Raza the Chained, although solid early taunt minions will be missed against Pirate Warrior, Jade Druid and whatever new aggro decks pop up in the new meta. Drakonid Operative is one of very few cards from Gadgetzan that I have enjoyed playing. I think it's worth keeping as a 1-of in a deck incorporating some dragons and some other features as well.
In reality, just one dragon card would be nice, but Dragon Priest can simply pivot from the play style it currently is. Instead of Twilight Welp, Wyrmrest Agent, Kabal Talonpriest, Twilight Guardian curve, maybe you'll play Cleric or Mistress of Mixtures, Netherspite historian or Faerie Dragon, Kabal Talonpriest or the Glimmeroot card, Twilight Drake. You lose taunt but you can still fight for the board in the early game. Run a Darkshire Alchemist instead of Blackwing Corruptor to heal and make up for the lack of taunt.
As the title says, is the dragon decks truly dead or will some appear?
there will probably be 1 or 2 filler dragon neutral cards.
Well i don't think anybody truly knows the answer, but i can give you one...
Wait until tomorrow and see!
(my guess is that there will 1-2, maybe one will be legendary as they usually have a legendary dragon in each expansion)
Golden legendary cards opened: Ragnaros the Firelord, Auctionmaster Beardo, Kalimos, Primal Lord
It wouldn't make sense thematically.. Ungoro doesn't have dragons
Seems ok.
I hope they dont give priest more dragons, however i do want some support for dragon paladin

It'll be called Deathwing, The Last Dragon, 10 mana 12/12 fill your hand with Deathspawn 1 mana 2/2 Dragons.
But in reality, I would be surprised if there isn't ONE with still half of the expansion yet to be revealed.
We shall see, if no dragons then you have to worry about deathrattle soooooooooooo
A. The Dragon cards were all terribly designed and best left behind through the normal rotations
B. Un'Goro has absolutely nothing to do with Dragons

no and thank god i hate priests

We never know... But, seems that all the priest are still praying for that.. :)

Forgive me, friend. I have failed.

they confirmed already that they are not going to support dragon decks / themes with ungoro.
they made it strong it with MsoG to give players the opportunity to use dragon decks until rotation hits and I think this is fine.
You must journey out and explore to discover "The Evil Dragons of Un'Goro Crater"!!!
