At least for me. I mean there's literally only one way to build a C'Thun deck. You just put in everything that says C'Thun on it and sprinkle in some class spells to fill the gaps. There. You're done. Your C'Thun deck is as good as anyones. Maybe some classes can pull it off a bit better than other ones, but to me all of these decks feel the exact same and playing against them is just boring. At least until now different classes had different decks, but now they all play the same thing. I hope none of these C'Thun decks turn out to be good enough to stick around because they make the whole ranked experience gray for me.
Nice, complaining about the meta after only a few days of the release of Whispers of the Old Gods. Do you really expected people to not play with C'Thun most of the time, when they got this legendary for free? But, you know what? You can play Wild and enjoy your glorious matches against Secret Paladin all the time. How about that?
I wanna play without C'Thun but there is no good deck without C'Thun actually. And i'm not a deck creator genius. But it's getting boring, i agree with you.
I agree, I really can't believe they though C'thun decks were a good idea. They're literally the worst aspects of both control and aggro. Really really boring minions and cards and then a finisher from an empty board.
There are fun decks to play though. Hunter is trash tier once again 3 expansions in a row, but you can make a lot of really fun decks. I also thought N'Zoth was going to be boring cancer, but the rogue N'Zoth deck with Shadowcasters is a lot of fun. It works like a grinder control deck, which is the opposite of what I thought it was going to be like. Yogg decks are really fun too. And "boss of the gym" Renounce Darkness warlock is really really fun. And I made a successful mill druid deck thats farming C'thun decks lol
I agree, all the expansion around an one deck type for all classes, I can understand the Blizz idea, but didn't work, at least till now. I hope it changes next weeks.
Who the hell cares about decks that perform well against C'thun decks? Its about the fact that C'Thun decks are garbage and boring, All old god decks are boring. This meta is like for 10 year old children watching Dragon Ball Z after school. Those decks take no skill, boring minions, play on curve, remove the board lalala. Where the hell decks that have interesting synergies? Why people don't try to create something unique and interesting? Seriously I hope people drop from Old God bandwagon soon and play some interesting decks finally.

Interesting decks take time to get right. Mid-range, aggro, and obvious synergy decks are the easiest to build with new expansions and as such are the first decks to crop up. If you are looking for a skill heavy deck that is solid, try control pally. It's not going to blow your mind with complex calculations and insane combo kills, but it is a deck where planning, health conservation, and understanding of the meta are essential in piloting the deck. It is an old god deck, but N'Zoth is just a finisher not something you have to build an entire deck around.
Another deck to look into is Darwin Shaman. It fits into the cool deck category nicely. You tend to get a big mid game swing if you understand the nuance of the deck even though it's strong enough that anyone can pick it up and play it immediately.
One surprisingly nuanced deck is bounce Rogue. Even though it's aggro, there is such a HUGE difference between a good player and a poor or even average player. Knowing what to bounce, what to mulligan, how to setup combos, when to drop card draw, when to sap. I've yet to master the deck (far from it), but I've watched someone else play it and was amazed by the high level of skill and thought that went into each and every play.
I've seen a lot of players find success with miracle rogue which is notoriously tough to play and a really fun deck to play for those that don't mind learning it.
And the best part about all of these decks just so happens to be that they dominate C'thun decks.
Come on ! You're that kind of guy who still believes that people makes weird decks without obvious synergy and that someday someone will win the championship with some shady deck everyone never saw before. I don't think so.
Talk to me later about Reno C'Thun Handlock. I always told that Handlock would be viable, now let's capt on the magnicient slowish meta we have.

Used to be a proud Handlock player.
Legend 17 times.
Still flirting with the ladder from times to times with Renolock.

damn so sorry that it's only a few days into the expansion and for some reason all-new and never seen before strategies didn't get formulated in only a few days time.
Give it some time, jeepers. I'm consistently owning with nothing but classic freeze mage and control warrior. I'm actually feeling sorry for C'thun decks because they can't beat me.

No brou, is not about "losing for C'thun decks" it's just about C'thun all the way, before WOG we had diferent decks for every class, some classes with 2 or 3 decks on meta, now it's C'thun all the way.
C'Thun, unlike what people actually believe, is NOT a win condition if you draw it first. If your opponent has full board and you and him have been fight for board control and rarely touching face, C'Thun might not win you the game rather clear board and hit some face damage. It should be a finisher, but sometimes it just good to remove a tough board and add on a terrifying presence that can still be killed. I think people need to start running BGH again, even after the nerf since some classes just lack hard-removal.

ihave played hearthstone from the very beginning and i'm almost giving up on this piece of shit game.. pure garbage.. it is just a race to get the c'thun out first... stupid fucking game
I've literally only seen my enemy play C'thun twice in ~30 games since the patch, sure people have tried but none of them are getting to play him. It seems that he's MUCH more common at lower ranks than higher ones and that in the higher ranks he's played with many less buff minions.
I think it will turn out that C'thun buff minions will be played purely to get C'thun to 10 Attack so Warriors can enable their Shieldbearer or Priest's their 10 Heal minion. Anything past that will just be gravy. Right now people are getting too excited about "The Dream" of doing 20+ damage in one go without realising any decent aggro deck is going to slaughter their vanilla buffers before turn 10 even arrives.
If you're all so salty about it be like that one guy on the forums who said he would leave hearthstone and not come back until WoG phases out of standard XD

Step 1:
Play your C'thun first.
Step 2:
You win ! Ez game.

My magic will tear you apart!
You guys are losing to C'Thun decks? Just play a strong midrange deck and GG.
I just trounced C'Thun warrior with my Rogue deck. Just takes have to out tempo them and be able to deal with their board.

C'Thun ruins the fun ?

So How Many Legends Do You Have?
Who runs every C'Thun card under the sun. That's a bad way to build a C'Thun deck and you should feel bad for losing to that.
People who refuses to play aggro out of principle are even worse than people who play exclusively aggro.
One should seek to become a complete player and play all archetypes, including ones that he despises for whatever irrational reasons.
