There are many times when I see the opponent drawing the Golden Monkey from his/her deck, the card itself looks huge as it comes out, flies and gets in the hand, where it looks normal again. I've also seen it in various streams (for example in Kibler's), and it's always a tell-tale sign that the opponent drew the monkey - Kibler also usually mentions this. Why is this happening? Is it considered a bug?

Simple answer is the Golden Monkey ate a Mega Mushroom from Mario as it went into your hand.
Actually it's happened to me to, was wondering the same thing.
Well he does that when you draw him on your side as well, except of course you can see him. I think it's just part of the flavor of the golden Monkey.
