Hey. Kinda new to these kind of competitions but I like all the brainstorming/feedback process around here. A bit late but I wanted to hear some feedback before I submit.
These are my creations. Tell me your thoughts if you like.
Devious Peddler is a Rogue class card. Like Ethereal Peddler but with a negative effect for your opponent. I found it useful creating a card that counters especially "generated cards" while providing a decent body at 4 mana. Also, it can be considered some sort of relevant / topical since there are tons of stealing and discovering mechanics atm.
Disintegration Ray is a Paladin class card. It could be used in a control Paladin deck as an early clear. The card is all about countering early aggro decks, where you usually find them build around low mana cost neutral minions. So, yeah, in other words counters neutral stuff.
Thanks in advance for your time. Reading or/and giving feedback is always more than welcomed.
It's fun to see that more people are joining :D
Devious Peddler, awsome card! Nothing much to say really :)
Disintegration Ray, nice idea. Im not sure if "neutral" should be Italic. Cool new idea, i would go with the Devious Peddler tho ;)
If you want you can check out my card right above this comment :)
:D
Thnx for the reply / feedback mate! Going with Devious Peddler was my first thought too. Tho I wanted to have some sort of variety and make sure if he is attractive or not. My aim is to create cards that can qualify, are fun to play with/against and will be decent (at least) choice putting them in deck.
As for your card Tavern Barman : ( I wanted to quote it, but dont' know how to quote two at one post :/)
At first glance looks interesting, plus I love combo mechanics. I think the theme fits well to its text too. My only concern tho is that it feels a bit underpowered. I mean you can reduce its mana cost .Too expensive for a rogue deck, especially when you want to trigger its combo, right? Also, cards that don't have direct impact on the field are usually a bit underrated from my perspective. So reducing its cost a bit or improve its stats (like a 3 3/4 or if you wanna stick with the 4 mana cost you can make it a 5/4 ,more intimidating ) could really make it work!
Other than that really nice work ! It will feel like a party crusher for classes that use spells-minion synergy early on.
Here are my cards. Please tell me your thoughts about them and suggest wich one could make it into the finals. Your opinion will be appreciated. Balance changes will also be welcomed!
As you can see they are all inspired by the new expansion announcement.
Athras the Deathbringer: i'm not a big fan of this one, i don't know it balanced or not, but it's seems really powerful by taking the others deathrattle.
Sylvanas, the Banshee Queen: this one more crazy than Athras, it's like tell your opponent not to play any minion but worse (is it only take control one minion or any minion played?). the only thing that comes to my mind right now is to give my Doomsayer. i think The Ice Crown is better card to take enemy minion.
Legacy of Dawn: this is my favorite one.. i like card that summon small minions in huge group. by referencingSnake Trap and Lost in the Jungle i think this one well balanced. please go with this one :D
Check my card and tell me what's in your mind, i really appreciate any suggestions and criticism:
The idea comes from Norse Myth Sigurd (knight that slay dragon and gain invulnerability by bathing on dragon's blood), with help from @Zukuu for balancing it. :D
Kick by Lathy (page 1) - I prefer "Arms Thievery though"
Intimidating Shout by ThisOtherGuyTox (page 8) - The spell version. BTW we can see that the artwork you used was another version of the card.
Divine Punishment by Sinti (page 3)
Monster Manual by Liam3bucks (page 3)
Seasickness by armpitduelist (page 4)
Devious Peddler by Houkai (page 9)
Cards I'd vote for with modifications:
Thunderking Rush by Vilegloom (page 1) - I approve this . However it should be named "Oondasta" since that's the creature on the pic.
Arms Thievy by Lathy (page 2) - I like the base concept but a 1mana 1/3 weapon in rogue sounds dangerous. I would make it 1/2 or 2/1 instead.
Bonebreaker Specimen by LarryMoments (page 2) - The image must not be a Pokémon
Gorilla Fighter by ScubaHelm (page 6) - That's not a gorilla.
The Ice Crown by Trickyb3ast (page 10) - Icecrown is the name of the region where the Frozen Throne is, not the name of the Lich King's helm.
Cards I'dNOT vote for no matter what:
The rest. Either because the base concept is not interesting or because they're non-functional or against the rules. Given the vagueness of this week's theme, I feel like disqualifications will rain.
As for my cards, I think I'll go with Shark Attack as it is. Sorry to those who preferred Soul Steal but it's safer to follow the majority opinion, especially when the only voters are regular card makers like last week!

Siguard, Dragon's Blood: looks like a decently balanced card for the current state of the game (or at least Standard), where there r played like 4 dragons tops. Even tho i feel like getting Divine Shield is pushing it, but i suppose u didnt want it to be just bland "destroy a dragon", which i get, but still ... mby lower the attack to 3 and then it should be fine :)

The Ice Crown: i wanted to say that this is totally broken (for arena), but since u gave it an epic rarity, then thats ok i guess :) Its still pretty powerful effect, which being a secret creates an extra nuisance to play around, but i think in constructed it should be fine.
Arthas, the Deathbringer: hard to evaluate this one, could be pretty bonkers, could be not, suppose it seems ok at first glance :)
Sylvanas, the Banshee Queen: im not gonna say its broken, but i would not want to have such minion in the game. It can pretty much cement your victory if u r ahead and your opponent would have zero ways to come back, he would have to have a hard removal and even then he would spent most of his turn removing one minion so pretty much gg for him. Like i said, not gonna say its broken, since those situations might not be as common, but its definitely powerful AF. Mby if it was like 7/5 7/4 to make it die easier ...
Legacy of Down: I actually like this one a lot. Also glad its epic, it would be broken in arena, so much pain lol ... could be rare mby tho :)

@CheeseEtc: thanks for the vote of confidence :)
I use Divine Shield to represent his Myth rather than give it bonus stats like the crabs thingy. At first i also think destroy a Dragon is bit bland, maybe kill some Beast (Since DK Hunter Hero Power may become troublesome). But after gain feedback from m @Zukuu, i think killing a Dragon is already really good by it's stats and Taunt. By 'Bland' what do you think this card need to makes it balanced and can see played in current META/Standard? (i really appreciate your thought) and for 4-Attack, I make it so he can stand against Priest which run Dragon Deck. to avoid SW: Pain and Death. :D
Anyways, I made this one a LONG time ago. Then again, I guess this one does also give you a benefit...
I also have same idea, from my fan class card, it's a Magic Librarian which also makes minions battlecry not trigger. It's like not letting you Shout out on library (i think Battlecry have similar with Howling, Shout or Roar XD)

I think killing one of priests big dragons is enough value for this card to on top of it being 4/6 divine shield taunt, that priest would have BIIIIIIIIIIIIIG time problems dealing with. There r only so much SW:Ps in a deck, so u might bait them out long before u get to play this or he might not drawn them etc ;-)
Listening to what's been said, I think I'll go with Arms Thievery. I think Cheese is right, so I decided to make it a 1/2 weapon, which also simplifies my token as it's just Wicked Knife. Before posting, I just want to make sure: It's "If your opponent has..." and not "If your opponent have...", right? Also, which wording is better?
Second wording is better. The wording is correct. I would make the latter part "Otherwise, equip a 1/2 weapon."—adding a comma after "Otherwise" to make it clear that it's an option for if your opponent doesn't have a weapon.

Thanks! As for the Otherwise part, I actually just looked at Upgrade!
It's true, but the first looks more elegant on the card! I think it's up to you because both wordings are comprehensible anyway. Even Blizzard themselves are inconsistent in terms of wording.
:D

Killing Anivia is fine. Killing Eggnivia is rude!

The Ice Crown: comparing to Polymorph and Potion of Polymorph (4 mana to 3 mana). This one is a good Shadow Madness secret.

Do you guys think this would qualify? It's not specifically countering a tribe, but still countering a type of card.

Ok, I wasn't fond of my first couple of ideas but think I will use Portal of Equality as my submission:
