Flavor text: As they say, "what the eye can't see, the Frostbolt can't hit."
Hey guys, what do you guys think of this one? First, balancewise my inspiration was, obviously, Doomsayer mainly becacuse both have a strong and unique effect that disrupt the minions or spells played in someway and thus must be dealt quickly. If timed right, this card could even be compared to Loatheb, in the sense that could postpone a spell reliant combo for one or two turns until this card is destroyed. It has its drawnbacks too, if it is played against minion focused decks, it can be easily played around and because of 0 attack, it can't naturally trade.
Even though I think the idea is clear, I dunno if the texting could be done in any other way. I based myself on the texts from both Millhouse Manastorm and Servant of Yogg-Saron. So, what are the thoughts? I'm eager for this week and good luck for everyone! :)
This card was my idea for this week (posted on page 2), but @Dxiled posted that it didn't have any reason to be a Kabal card. Even though I think it makes sense, a spellcaster that wants to control the opponent's spells, I agree it isn't the most straightforward card for a faction, so I came with this idea:
Flavor: Now that the Kabal suggested an increase to 31% of GDP on portal upkeep, we can now stabilize them...kinda.
The flavor and card are obviously based on Unstable Portal. The idea is that since they have some kind of arcane background, the Kabal can control these portals better than ever. This focuses on the factions "Discover a class card" mechanic while also giving it some stability (no pun intended). So what do you guys think of this one? Is it well balanced?
Edit: In case the first card is prefered, @ShadowsOfSense suggested a rewording to: Enemy spells cost (0), and their targets are chosen randomly, which is indeed best suited for the card. Thanks, mate! :)
So, what do you guys think now? Does it solve the balance problem mentioned by @Dxiled? I won't lose the reference to Unstable Portal, while making the card playable without making it a way too op combos enabler.
I would love some feedback here before submitting: making cards cost 3 less is way too OP, even if it a class limited card that has more chance to pull crap cards than to pull that combo needed pieces? thanks in advance!
After this fix, i think you made it lessplayable. The original thought was better with the flavor being more than clear, as well as enabling 2 more classes to use the unstable portal in a very refreshing way. Why not use a wording such as: "Add a random Mage, Priest and Warlock minion to your deck. They cost (3) less." ? It has a drawback of shuffling random minions but hey, it adds 3 minions and imho it sticks to this expansions' theme.
I think you're undervaluing Discover there. Unstable Portal adds a random minion to your hand (balls to the wall random) and it costs (3) less. This lets you Discover (more control) A Mage, Priest or Warlock minion (yet more control) and it costs (1) less. Compare it to I Know a Guy and Journey Below, a 1-mana Discover card. This is a 2-mana Discover, but then discount it by (1), so ultimately a net cost of 1 mana.
First wave of ideas. They're all from Jade Lotus because the classes it federates are the most similar.
Shaman, Rogues and Druids are all classes that frequently give their hero attack either through buffs or through weapons, therefore Master Han would allow them to drop devastating wombos-combos. I made him a legendary because his effect is very powerful. Master Han is supposed to be Jade Lotus' big boss. The name is a reference to the film Enter the Dragon.
Druids = beasts, Rogues = pirates and Shamans = totems, therefore Jade Lotus Smuggler will benefit all three classes.
Jade Lotus Assassin is a powerful hard removal for all three classes who can easily activate its effect.
Which one is best ?
I still honestly prefer Jade Lotus Assassin for the reasons I've already said last time I talked about your cards, but Grimestreet Bar is a close second. I would say the cheapest Taunt minion you'd want to run in Fierce Monkey, so let's say: Fierce Monkey, Fierce Monkey, Bloodhoof Brave. That's not bad for 10 mana.
However, as a Goon card, it does barely anything to Hunters. Very rarely do they have valuable taunts at their disposal.
@CheeseEatingSurrenderMonkey Gotta agree with thebangzats Jade Lotus Assassin is very cool as Grimestreet Bar is, though Hunter has only King of Beasts as a taunt except for if they use neutral taunters. However if anyone thinks how Paladins gonna exploit such card 10 mana for Tirion Fordring +2 more Tuants and deck thining... Wow...
Sorry @thebangzats missed your first comment. Thanks for feedback guys.
That being said I disagree with you guys in the hunter case. Hunter doesn't rely on card draw to win and hunter cards that dig specific cards in your deck (King's Elekk, Barnes) are super good. This might make control or midrange-control hunter a thing. Still going to submit the assassin though. Also in the paladin case, Tirion is also pulled "for free" by N'Zoth yet N'Zoth Paladin sucks.
Also @ Zebakuni "Whenever you cast a damaging spell, discover (bolded) another spell in your deck is better. What happens if you have no spells in your deck ? You need a card like Shadow of Nothing or Worthless Imp.
I'm thinking about making the assassin a 3/5 and change its name (I forgot Lotus Assassin), not sure if that's balanced.
I think this is pretty good for a few reasons. Firstly, more minions are always good. As for the attack debuff, this is good for all three classes. Paladin already has it. Warrior can use it to prevent effective trading and it could maybe help Enrage Warrior. Finally, Hunter can use it to guarantee a Stampeding Kodo target thereby giving them a beast. Of course, all three can use it to guarantee a Kodo target, as Paladin already does but I feel Hunter would benefit the most out of Kodo. .

First of all, one of my favorite cards so far in terms of flavor. I think the synergy with Stampeding Kodo is a great boon for Hunters. However, I do not like the idea of having more Humility effects in HS. I would suggest it simply to give an Attack reduction instead of a flat "Set it to 1" effect. e.g. "Give a minion -2 Attack. Summon two 1/1 Grimey Goon Enforcers."
I would definitely love to see a card like this added to the game. I really hope that Blizzard pays attention to these competitions because cards like yours would make fantastic additions to the game. Oh, and thanks for reminding me about the Discussion topic. Forgot about it lol.

There's also a quote function so people know what you're replying to hahaha. But again, thanks for the kind words. Looks like it's doing well vote wise so phew, hopefully I get another chance at the Finals.

I appreciate the feedback and I agree. I feel as though another Humility effect could be too powerful; especially in Control Warrior. So, I went with your advice. It is certainly more powerful than Shrinkmeister which fits due to the one more cost and weaker body(s).

And of course as per usual my card gets lost in the rest of 'em lol. Well, good luck with yours!
Refining my Lotus Deathclaw. To make this card stat stay at 4/6 I explore more drawback, here is the card:
Old version :
With the new drawback your opponent can play around the cleave effect by only fill their board with less than three minions. What do you think? Is this balance enough?
I like the second one the most. That way, you can essentially stop the effect from becoming too ridiculous while still being capable of providing value. The body for the first one is way too weak (paying 4 mana for a 1/3 taunt hurts no matter what), and same goes for the 5 mana version.
Cards I want feedback on:
The buffs are completely random for Prepare For A Fight!, meaning that minions can get +3/+1 or +4 health or whatever other combination.

The reasoning for the weak statline is because you would ideally play it in a deck that runs cards that buff minions in your hand, therefore making bigger Taunts.
As for your cards, Prepare for a Fight is a pretty cool idea for a card with the buffing, but I feel like it might be better if every instance gave +1/+1. Makes it less random. Lotus Trainer seems a bit weak when compared to a Jungle Panther (and pre-nerf Master of Disguise). Yes it can occasionally give Stealth multiple times, but with 2 Health on a turn 3 (or 5 when combined with Inspire), it's not that likely to live on your next turn. Also, it's not very clear if it can give Stealth to itself or not. I think Grimestreet Blacksmith is fine, it's just a bit boring. Since it is technically a class card, I feel maybe it could be a 4/5.

Hm, thanks for the feedback. I did originally intend it to give it in increments of +1/+1, but I felt that the other wording (the one I posted) was more elegant. As for Lotus Trainer, what if it was a 2 mana 3/2? As for the 'weak statline because it was meant to be buffed' argument, I don't really think it makes sense. It's like saying a vanilla 2 mana 2/2 isn't UP because it's supposed to be run in a Goons Deck, but I could be missing something here.

I like Prepare for a Fight, but rather than being just another hand buff card, what about this: "Give +1/+1 to a random minion in your hand. Repeat for each enemy minion." It should also cost less.
It's a situational equivalent of that Paladin card (The one with the murloc art), and drives home that "Prepare for a fight" feel. You can also repeat for the number of cards in your opponent's hand, though this is powerful and the card should cost way more. I feel like being a situational card makes it a much more interesting design, as currently it's more or less "give +4/+4 in total".

I really liked Prepare for a Fight :), looks like a card i would put into my decks. I think the the other one is just too broken to work (Lotus Trainer+Emperor Thaurissan GG).
Do you guys have any ideas to make the text sound better or to make the card more good in general ? (It's my first card so i probally did a lot of mistakes, but have patience with me xD )
Unstable Portal adds a random minion to your hand (balls to the wall random) and it costs (3) less.
