I'd make him more on par with Illidan by dropping his health to 5. He would still be a 9/7 stat-wise, which is great for a 7drop, but more easy to deal with his face.
I wouldn't. It's not op it's just good and without good cards the game would be extremely boring.
I would suggest that instead of nerfing Dr. Boom that Blizzard should just add more 7 drops that are good or on level with Dr. Boom. But that might lead to a bit of power creep...

Alright, added a supplemental poll.. again, this is only for those that feel Dr. Boom is unbalanced. If you think Dr. Boom is fine, no need to comment.
What is your single biggest complaint about Dr. Boom? Which issue do you have about it that supersedes the others?
-Is your main issue that it has no clean counter or removal without taking damage? (there are a couple of combos that can do this, [such as Mass Dispel + Lightbomb]but only available to a handful of classes)
-Is it simply a math/powercreep issue? (in regards to how much value you get, in terms of raw stats and effect compared to its mana cost)
-It is too much of a tempo swing from behind and too much of a burial while ahead
I think something like 7/5 or 7/4 would be better.
Then BGH can still hit him, and it would be much easier to trade your board for him.
I'd even be OK with like 5/5 stats. Makes sense, 5 mana for the body of 5/5 +2 mana for the boom bots which are worth more than 2 anyway.
But... all in all, I can go with weaker body or 1-3 on the Boom Bots...

The problem is that the boom bots do too much damage. It's rediculous that four or even five health minions arn't safe from two minions that costed litterally nothing to get on the board.
I agree with the sentiment that a better solution would be to simply make more 7 drops to contest it, but make 8 and 9 drops that are better than dr. boom first!
Dr. Boom, 7/7, Deathrattle: Summon 2 1/1 Boom Bots.
^ I haven't seen this one yet in this topic. A relatively small change in text by turning his battlecry into a deathrattle, but with a huge impact by delaying the Boom Bots for at least one turn.
I'd go with Boom Bots dealing 1-3 instead of 1-4. This won't take much off Dr. Boom, and a Wisp-War Golem-Wisp would remain true, but will save 5 drops from instakilling by a lucky bot.

He is not that good. He doesnt win you a game by himself. He isnt even played in that many decks. He is a great start if you dont have anything else to put into your deck, but i rarely play him, because there are just better choices/Synergies in most cases.
Disclaimer: I base this on my own observation, i dont have any facts, its just my impression.
Ofcourse he is a great card. i had him in arena once where he won me a few battles, just because he is really hard to deal with in arena.

We should definitely reduce his attack to 6, to make the body less formidable. That would be a perfect nerf.
That is why you people should not think that the developers are stupid. 6/7 Dr.Boom would be a BUFF, not a nerf. When Boom came into play BGH came back to the game. Now there are a lot decks that skips boom because everyone runs BGH if Boom would be the only with 7+ atk. To make him weaker he need less DEF.
Boom is balanced, you guys have no clue of balancing. I am not scared of Booms.
I would lower the Boom Bot deathrattle damage by one or change Dr. Boom's Battlecry into a deathrattle since his Boombots can trade pretty well against the enemy
I don't really care what the nerf is as long as it happens soon as I have 2 spare copies in my collection and have been holding them for ages hoping to get full dust value.
On this note, could Blizzard kindly hurry up and nerf Goblin Blastmage and Call Pet!
Another Boom thread!?! Lowering his attack to 6 would make him invulnerable to BGH. Raising his cost to 8 almost makes him not worth playing. Lowering his health to 5 or 6 might work, as would decreasing the Bots' damage to 1-3. But these and many other things have been considered. At this point anything would be too little too late. The more sets we get and the more power creep accelerates he'll remain a must-have 7 drop. The best surefire way to play around him is to expect him and just win on or before turn 7.

People don't understand that some cards are stronger and they SHOULD be. Don't complain if RNG f*ed you. Why don't you mention BGH, a fine body for 3 mana with a huge removal? Give me a break.
I wouldn't actually. Boom and Sylvanas are two power staples that make starting your HS collection a lot easier.
I think after so many months i saw Dr. Boom in the meta, I came to the point where I would buff cards, rather than nerf.
Simply to buff War Golem to 7mana 7/9 would be my "solution".
If I would wanna nerf boom I would make it an 8-mana minion. No other chanhes needed. :)
