If yes, type a best nerf or change in your opinion for this card
Hall of fame
Hall of Fame does neither nerf this card nor change it in some way. But yeah the problem are mana cheating cards in this game, and shadowstep + fox is enough mana cheat for any combo card that scales with cards played as far as design goes it is limiting as well and Edwin is just one example in this case. They still have 2x Questing Adventurers to be used with mana cheating cards.
the odds to get big Edwin are pretty low, but when it comes it’s hard to deal unless you have removal or silence
what is making Edwin bigger atm is foxy guy, shadowtep, and lackeys
other card generators are fine because mana cost is unpredictable, you can get cheap cost cards or unplayable bricks
since lackeys and most cards generators will rotate I don’t think Edwin needs a nerf, he is fine as it is, Hof him is a better solution to give more design space and better cards to Rogues
Revolve, shadow word death, devolving missiles, coerce, ironbeak owl, deadly shot, subdue, corruption, plague of flames... there are cards that can deal with an early Edwin, it’s just easier to complain than run removal and mulligan for rogues.
I think it should not be nerfed, I recently played against someone who got the perfect hand and in turn 2 he did bring an Edwin 10/10 so I obviously lost because I had neither silence or removal. It may tilt some players when this happens because they didn't had a chance to even play the match but fortunately this does not happen very often in my opinion. And as we know this game it's also luck based when many times you start with the right hand and the opponent don't, especially for decks with early win condition cards or decks which snowball quickly.

He absolutely does not need to be HoFed. If you go back from the start of Hearthstone, he goes from included in every Rogue deck in some expansions to being left out completely for a whole expansion or rotation. It all depends on the support cards. Right now Foxy is the main issue. It is very easy to Coin/Foxy/Step/Foxy/Edwin on turn 1. If you HoF him, when the op support cards rotate, it would be one of those "oh you didn't need to HoF him" type issue.
I think the amount of health Edwin generates is a bit silly, especially for an evergreen card and is primarily what makes him such a feast or famine card. I think a change of making him start at 2/4 instead of 2/2 and then gain +2/+1 for each card played would keep him as an aggressive win condition but make him easier to deal with. And it'd also make him better in situations where you aren't playing like 4 cards with him. But worse in situations where you like... go off.
I don't think he should be HOFed, because I think he's a good example of a really basic rogue card. You could maybe even give him back stealth, and make it so his health doesn't change and he just gains attack for each card played but that sounds underwhelming as hell.
NO. NO CHANGE, STILL ONE OF THE SMART CARDS OF THE GAME, THEY HOF TRASH WITHOUT THINK - EXCEPT FOR LEEROY THAT WAS A BAD MOVE, BUT STILL ACEPTABLE. IF U DON"T KNOW HOW TO PLAY AGAINST A CARD THAT CAN BE DESTROYED BY OWL FROM BASIC SET OR ANY OTHER CARD THAT DISRUPT BUFFED MINIONS U REALLY NEED TO BE LOW ELO, THAT"S THE TRUE; DECKBUILDING IS STILL SOMEHOW THE LAST GOOD THING THIS GAME STILL HAS AND IT"S ALREADY LOSING IT TO RANDOM BULLSHIT.
I've been trying out miracle rogue this week, and in that short time frame I haven't made an Edwin that's less then an 8/8. Not even difficult to get him at 12 or higher while still making other plays. More often than not, he is not easily removed with the seemingly plethora of tools folks here have mentioned, and I win the game on the spot. I'm willing to hear out people that wanna say Foxy Fraud is the culprit, but seriously, defending him is getting pretty difficult.
How many of the other classic legendaries make this kind of splash across so many different metas? He's obviously abusive given the chance, and arguably limits design potential.
Hahaha nice one mate, well in my case it doesn't matter 10/10 than 20/20 I had no clear either silence so after see that I feel gratefull I had one more turn of life :D
People complaining about Edwin in a meta dominated by... Not rogues.
Terrible argument. In every card game there are cards that are terribly designed and therefore break the game in one way or another, but they don't single-handedly elevate the deck to a broken one - and guess what - they are addressed sooner or later.
Thanks to Edwin and all the one trick ponies that play him, I've climbed nicely this month. No need to make hard removal and silence any worse ;)

It certainly is!
This is why we get forum posts daily about "nerf this" and "nerf that". Honestly, it will be never ending.
There will always be a thing that people think is too strong. The next thing will take its place.
If we nerf the birds, the worms will become too powerful. But if we nerf the worms, the soil itself will rise up and slap us in the face!
BUT WAIT.
If we nerf the soil...
Just think: folks still playing Edwin Van Cleef in 2021. It's going to happen. HOF.

Arrivederci
Yes he should be nerfed. Nerfed to a Pirate.
