If they enable a faster exchange of contact info it might actually be a popular option, since discussing your strategy arguably get a lot faster and more accurate :)
They could actually try to make a deal with Discord, where they enable you to have your account name/contact visible to your Bgs partner for a swift connection
These posts are interesting, because they used to be from nostalgia trippers who claimed that Iksar ruined the game or Ben Brode was the only good developer/leader. But here it seems like you never actually liked the game... Or was there one good expansion that got you hooked and now you just hate your life? If the latter, was the expansion named "United in Stormwind"?
Nothing wrong with the cards text to mechanic (I'd say at least, like most people here it seems), But would I wish that the card was self upgrading like jade golems and the new paladin ones (as OP suggested). The card just isn't cutting it with the way it works...
You can't really just focus on two classes, because of how balance works. Some sets, they just won't be very good and you have to play other classes. Right now, Mage is semi-playable, but Priest is very bad overall.
If OP should take just one piece of advice from this thread ;)
A note to add is that nerfs will likely come soon (excavate warlock seems pretty certain), which can bring in a lot of dust. The real economy tip is, "never dust cards that aren't nerfed". Having a dumpster class or two is a fine step down from that.
Since one card disenchants into no more than 25% of its value, you'll risk limiting yourself more that way. I suppose it also depends on what you enjoy playing. Priest and mage are known for their very dust expensive decks, so one heavy priest deck can easily cost you several good budget decks from other classes. If you only want to play those two classes, then you might as well, but personally I always find 3 classes being more fun one expansion, just to be trash in the next.
You can usually make a fine demon hunter or hunter deck without a single legendary card. Wouldn't it be a shame to lose two whole decks, now that priest is bottom tier? At least look up a good mage deck and see what you need to craft it :)
Wasn't the whole advantage with this mode, that no matter how shitty one season is, it's only one month? Just pull some random cards out of a hat while you do your real "testing". What do they need to disable the mode for anyway? Is the miniscule twist player base eating the server? :p
The best counter for ropers is laundry. You can empty and fill a machine during their turn (if your laundry machine is in your home that is) and you can use the next couple turns on hanging it on the drying rack. You can also make a sandwich or brush your teeth if it's late ;)
Once I let go of the initial DH hate (because THAT was awful design) I actually think that the class is one of the better designs there. I'd arguably join the priest wagon if hunter isn't actually the one.
Priest because the most exciting thing they can do is "NOT play priest". And light/shadow dualism isn't really a unique/special thing anyway. Most classes can also swing between ideologies.
Hunter because the class identity is bland and stuck. They didn't really make ranged weapons a thing, the high DPS vibe isn't really interesting, so hunter is pretty much stuck with "strong cards and beasts"...

A real shame that they couldn't just freeze the card pool and leave it as a minor game mode...

I think it was just played to have enough excavate cards :)

Exactly! Seems like they are so scared of making a bad format, that they're trashing a decent one.

I think the idea with a set opponent to 20, you 40 was a nice take. Keeps the card a great treasure and definitely rips up the control decks skin :)
