Yet another card that highlights just how incredibly shitty Icicle is. I mean, even without the Dragon bonus.
Anyway, the card is pretty good. A solid effect and it replaces itself, supporting cyclones, the new legendary, the quest, the sidequest and just about any other Mage deck that would ever care about running dragons.
This card fits into Wild and Standard. This works with the old and new quest. This is a very strong card and getting this randomly generated from other cards like magic trick is even better. This makes completing the old 'take another turn' quest even easier.
You also get a crazy scenario of using magic trick to discover this card, then use this spell on a minion to discover magic trick and so forth.
I think this card is worse than it seems at first glance.
It might seem like a great addition to the Cyclone deck, but it does have a dragon requirement. Without dragons, it is simply an Arcane Shot. Not bad, but not great either. Does a spell Mage deck have room for dragons? I don't think so, and this card doesn't seem worth it to try cramming dragons into the deck (other breaths seem much more powerful).
In a Dragon Mage deck, this card is ok. But such a deck probably won't go crazy about the discovered spell, so it seems kinda meh there as well.
Dragon mage is a forced archetype in this expansion in the same way they forced quest shaman and even worse quest druid (druid can't play anything else right now).
I don't like this type of design when the decks are prebuild and you can only manage 4 or 5 slots in the deck if want to remain competitive.

Good thing Flame Waker is going back into Wild.

Voted: Playable.
weaker than some of the others, but its in mage and you can chain this for free very easily.
Just great value, even still somewhat viable when drawn late.
yeah but cheenvaala is bad so...
Yet another card that illustrates that expansion cards are supposed to be better than evergreen cards.

Very efficient... it's just a pretty efficient card that gets you another spell.
It'll get played but.... YAWN
good card with dragons and decent without dragons.
it's a mini Marked Shot!

I think that mage will have more spells to discover a card than high cost AOE
