It's pretty good, hunter always had problem pinging minions to death, now with this he get 3 pings for 1 card and doesn't even lose health in the process.
Also, now hunter's mark is more viable, might even replace deadly shot in some decks.
A 1-attack weapon isn't going to kill anything early game in this era. Use with Hunter's Mark? Look I removed something and it only took 4 deckslots - power play!

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
Utterly amazing arena card and a much needed ping for hunter, low mana cost weapons that give you tempo are great for constructed and the fact that it doubles as a late game ping at the cost of no face damage makes hits one of the few actual good cards hunter got this expansion. I'm actually more excited about how versatile and good this card is than the legendaries they revealed. If by my side hunter is ever a thing, this is the card that holds the early game together.
This card will not make Pirate Hunter viable in Standard. In Wild, however, there is another cheap weapon that might help this out, which is of course Glaivezooka. Let's hope this doesn't go too far...(It probably won't; this is just a heads up for all you Wild players reading this.}

162 ladder wins with Renouncelock and counting! Reno, Zoo, Cube, Even; they all run Renounce Darkness in my lists!
Pirate hunter won't work (thank god, I guess) at the same as warrior, although the hero power is way better for playing the aggressive.
The control ping can get quite handy, in 2 hits you kill a 3/2, on turn 1 clears the Kobold Librarian, and comboes nicely with pretty much everything a hunter can use.
If his weapon existed on TGT people might have even started considering Acidmaw for the possibility of triple assassinate.

It is not so bad than you believe.
Kill 2/1 will run in any warlock deck, the 3/1 tutor weapon for rogue, the gnome 2/1 draw a card go in any combo deck and with Mark remove any big taunt in way from your minions.
With pirates you can play a 3/3 in turn 2 bring Patches from the deck and play Captain in turn 3 for massive start and the hero power make the rest, face hunter can back and don't run any 6 manas card in years...
Pirate warrior always run the 1/3 murlock trying to get hunter hero power, here you run this weapon in that slot.
Wording inconsistent with Gladiator's Longbow, though I'm pretty certain it works the same way. I do like these effects that simulate the weapon being ranged.
They should trim Gladiator's Longbow to this way as well; probably as a minor patch
I think they should change this card to Gladiator's Longbow's wording. The way this card is worded, it sounds like the weapon becomes immune, which would stop it from losing durability when attacking... which is obviously not what the card is intended to do.
As for how good the card is, at first I thought it was bad... then I realized it was 1 mana: deal 3 damage divided as you choose... and now I'm not sure. Eaglehorn Bow is still a good card and running this card will get in the way of your other weapons (you definitely don't want to draw two of this card early) and the damage is very delayed, over 3 turns... but 1 mana deal 3 damage is good.
No. Won't see play. Its worst than Light's Justice, a card that no one thinks about playing in their deck. The immune part will most likely heal you some. But it is more important to control the board with a weapon, and not that many minions are left with 1 health to make it consistently a control tool. N'Zoth's First Mate only saw play, because its synergy with other cards, or because it could be buffed. Neither one are options for hunter.
The only reason for a pirate setup, beyond patches and a couple to draw him out, is if you are trying to improve your Kathrena pulls by avoiding low cost beasts.
Great synergy with Explosive Trap (which often falls one damage short on a lot of early game minions), good synergy with Deathstalker Rexxar for the same reason.
If you think about it as getting three mage pings over three turns for one mana, I think it's pretty good.
Its gonna feel really bad to topdeck this late game
Why do people say crap like this? 1 drops usually are a bad draw lategame. So are you going to stop putting 1 drops in your decks?
One drop minions are different than one drop spells or weapons. That's why a card like hydrologist is good instead of just putting a bunch of paly secrets in your deck.
Compare this to nzoths first mate which gives you a 1/1, a 1/3 weapon, and draws your 1/1 with charge and it looks pretty bad.
Anyway I don't think this is that good... Light's Justice is not good and health doesn't matter too much in hunter, unless that all spells deck is viable, but I don't think it will, for now at least.
HP matters in Hunter's due to all the aggro/tempo/zoo decks. One of the reasons why the class is lacking is the inability to deal 1 damage and clear the minion. This weapon will overcome both HP loss and lack of 1 HP minion clears.
It's a pretty good weapon. Might be the best weapon in the game. Immunity is underrated, it is a very strong mechanic that's why you don't see it a lot.
You didn't even get to play it, I wouldn't just assume that this is "the best weapon in the game", Spirit Claws was a really good weapon. I don't know, this seem's just a Light's Justice to me, would that be good in hunter? I don't know, maybe... I have 1200 hunter wins in ranked and I would say that this card is not really good, but I could obviously be wrong. I think that's not needed, the 4 mana spell is actually better since it gives hunter what it really lacks, a card with some tempo-swing to come back on board (also a nice play if you can't houndmaster, which hunter kinda never had). I could be completely wrong, but I think that the 1/3 for 1 mana neutral beast will help hunter more than this weapon (again, it's just speculation, none of us can test cards atm and see results...).
I think this is only good in the no minion Legendary weapon deck. That weapon's battlecry is going to give you at least 1 hunter's mark so you may as well have this weapon ready when that happens.

This is better than the legendary hunter weapon lol
:D

VS
New hero power card.
Pirate hunter can work for a few weeks when decks are in testing mode.
After that go with the only deck hunter have, midrange.
This reads: 1-mana 1/3 weapon. Battlecry: Gain at least 5 armor.
It's not insane, but it's decent.

It's a close call imo.
