And yes, N'zoth's First Mate is an amazing opener, but it's still awful to draw it later. I agree that this weapon isn't that great of an opener, but it's a solid card with a value of about 2 mana. It's about on par with Fire Fly which is a commonly played one drop. Probably not as good as Alleycat for hunter though. Then again Alleycat rotates soon.
In all seriousness however, this may help control Hunter perhaps. It's the Steamwheedle Sniper sort of thing. Sort of. It's giving Hunter a way to ping stuff.
And for control Hunter, which adjusts the hero power wth the Deathknight, doesn't become useless, so I can see how this could be of use
nice synergy with hunter mark but maybe only for control/slow-midrange hunter because alley cat or dire mole still better for turn 1 if you play fast deck
So is it the weapon or the hero that is immune while attacking? I suppose it's the weapon meaning it doesn't lose durability?
Hmm... your interpretation might indeed explain the different wording from Gladiator's Longbow. But then, weapons with special durability rules usually have their text explicitly talking about durability... so the former (hero immune) seems more likely.
If that's the case, I'm honestly undecided on how to rate the card. Might be good in some situations, might be bad in others... guess it needs to be tested. Tentative vote: playable, but might change my mind in a few days ;)
I would love if they added shooting animation to these weapons, like in case of hunter's hero power
I know it would not be consistant with attacks in general, but i'd love to finally see hunters actuallt shooting arrows and not bashing people with bows :3
1 mana to deal 3 damage split however you want, that's really powerful. Aggressive Hunters will most likely still want to play turn 1 beasts for their 3/2 adapt a beast thingy though.

So slow, though. Will take two turns to kill one thing, generally, and then ping something else a turn later, because 1HP stuff isn't too common. Doesn't feel worth it, to me.
1 HP stuff isn't common? Every aggro deck and their mom is playing Patches at the moment xD Though this doesn't necessarily have to hit small things, that's the good part about immunity, you can kill off big things that normally would be left with 1 health after trading or being hit with another spell like Flanking Strike, or use it with Hunter's Mark, etc.
Wording inconsistent with Gladiator's Longbow, though I'm pretty certain it works the same way. I do like these effects that simulate the weapon being ranged.
A shortened version of the exact same sentence isn't inconsistent, it's just shorter.

They don't work the same, if you were to attack a explosive trap with this weapon you'd take no damage whereas you would take damage if you were to use the longbow.
What part of the card text makes you think that difference. BTW, unless they changed it in the last 2 months, Longbow blocks explosive trap damage.

this is more legendary than original one, gonna see play definetly, can remove big targets even without any heal options from them
What da heck? What sort of weapon is this? XD

Good weapon for the stats but it needs support. Right now, I'd say it's 2 stars, won't see competitive play, because control hunter won't be a thing.

You know what this card reminds me of? Arcane missiles.
Anger is the punishment we give ourselves for someone else's mistake.
card isn't impactful enough. Saving some health doesn't really do much for hunter.
A lot of begginers think gladiator long bow is a good card but any player knows that mana, board, and card advantage is worth a lot more than health.
Carpe Diem - Seize the day
You just need to pair this with Hunter's Mark and they become a 2 mana hard removal spell.
