This card really hits evo shaman hard haha. Other than that, it would be an amazing card if it had Taunt.
I understand spikeridge gives it taunt but this card really belongs in making quest paladin viable.... if it had taunt you could possible find 3 using stonehills.
Even so, its only a decent card. For 7 mana it doesn't do anything to effect the board state by itself. Bonemare is still better IMO.
Doesn't require much to be decent - but is a dead draw until you play either a few smaller buffs, or a couple of the bigger buffs.
Further to that, it's one of those cards that's just wrecked by silence. Sure, a lot of good cards are - but hey, if you silence something like Tirion at least you're left with a 6/6 body. This is just a 1/1 if Spellbreaker or Ironbeak shows up in your opponent's hand. :-S
i don't understand why some people post "utter trash" or "silence" ... if that make a card bad then Edwin VanCleef is UTTER TRASH, players with rank 25 logic...
Translation: Complete and utter garbage unplayble dust.
Except this card is good with even one Spikeridged Steed. Run 2 Kings and 2 Steeds and this card is nuts. You don't have to put crap like Adaptation and Blessing of Might/Wisdom in your deck.
Ooooh, good catch. You might have to run Kings to make this good though, which makes Summoner a bit less good.
You may. But even if the only buffs you run are something like 2x Spikeridge, 1x BOK, 1x Dinosize, your odds of hitting something good with Spiteful Summoner are pretty good.
This could also make Paladins extremely vulnerable to mages, who play counterpsell among other secrets which can destroy your buff cards.
I suppose you could play Eater of Secrets too to prevent that outcome. But unless secrets become more popular this expansion, that's just dead weight in your deck.
oh man, i love this card. i really hope some non-murloc paladin decks will become viable again. and this card seems like so much fun for any buff heavy paladin deck like quest pala.
it's weak to silence, yeah... that's what always comes up with these kinda cards. Spikeridged Steed is weak to silence and became a pretty popular card. and how many silences do decks run? when they silence this, they might not silence your Galvadon.

Is it? It's a higher-curved, slightly better Sludge Belcher (7 more stat points for 2 more mana). That card saw a lot of play (and still does in wild) because it can save a game against aggro on turn 5. This card requires:
A minion on the Board on T6
Spikeridged steed in your hand to play on T6
This card in your hand on T7
Belcher didn't require setup. If you're using this card only as a combo with steed, seems like there are better options than try to pull that off every game
I think this card has a lot of potential. For all the weakness it has to Silence/Transform, if people are saving up those spells for this card they will have had to have dealt with all your buffed minions as is. I think Lynessa will prove to be deceptively strong. Galvadon and Tirion could also benefit from this card existing as your opponent will not be able to Silence everything unless they are specifically countering Paladin, which is unlikely.
enough w/ the silence babble, everyone. very few decks run more than one silence effect, and if you're running lots of buffs, they may well have needed to use their silences to handle your board already. it's like saying "wide boards are useless because of aoe/spreading plague". i really doubt that decks are going to be able to afford packing 2x spellbreaker 2x owl to handle the new meta. as another poster said, if this card is bad, it's because it's too slow and inconsistent, not because of its vulnerability to silence.
it'd be nice if paladin had some kind of buff tutor/buff discovery card.
Well, for this card to be good, you need to play two good buffs beforehand, one spikeridge does not cut, you are just playing two stegodons back to back, which is 8 mana). Now that you managed to get a hefty amount of buffs played you end up with a somewhat sticky big minion and nothing else and everybody can deal with a single big minion.
Now we have Bonemare, which is fairly big on its own and casts BoK into something else with no preparation required.
It's better just to play a bigass minion instead of this
Well, on the least this card diverts oponent's silence from Tirion Fordring to it.

I like the synergy this has with Spiteful Summoner.
Who will win? Legendary minion paladin with cool design vs 0 mana cost silence minion spell boi

Possible Paladin legendary weapon ideas that would make this playable:
People keep talking about silence but that's not the biggest issue with this card.
If it generated any strong value it will just be hard removed. Look at the meta right now. Getting a 2/6 stegodon from this card doesn't make it good.
If you played Adaptation earlier, will the casted copy be the same adapt or a random one?
Anger is the punishment we give ourselves for someone else's mistake.
It is funny to see people invoking silence on one hand, and Galvadon on the other...

So I guess they are fixing all the quests that didn't work?
Can't wait to see what they do for The Marsh Queen!
