I have 3200 dust, probably 4800 if i disenchant all the legendaries i got from KnC packs (looking at you Zola the Gorgon).
Now, what should i craft? I am someone who enjoys fun decks. They don't have to be good (but not as bad as Freeze Shaman).
Right now i thought of 3 options. Aluneth burn/secret mage, discard warlock with Cataclysm or Kingsbane rogue. Out of these 3, weapon rogue is probably the worse deck now, mage probably the best. For warlock i have to craft the quest, a second copy of Cataclysm and maybe Clutchmother Zavas (although not necessary it improves the deck). So it's the most expensive one. For the mage deck i only need the weapon (and some secret related stuff but they are cheap to craft) and for the rogue deck i need the weapon itself and the weapon buffs that i always disenchanted (who thought Leeching Poison could be useful).
So what do you think i should craft? I fear that oozes might become popular which would make the mage deck kinda shitty, discard is bound to get support in future expansions and rogue might get new buffs, so in the long term discard can only get better, weapon rogue might remain gimmicky for a long time and if weapon realated decks get popular, weapon removal could be a thing people include in their decks so the whole "play secrets and go face with spells each turn" mage has going on now could easily go down the drain.
Hold on to your Zola. If you disenchant now your collection will never grow. I made this mistake when I just started playing too.
On topic: I would go for discardlock, but that is just personal flavor (I added a small discard flavor to a cubelock deck I made and it became so much more fun to play).
Secrect Mage not fun deck, it's typical agro. But if you need really effective deck, yes, craft Aluneth, Oozes not counter this deck coz Aluneth gives you value anyway if it gives you 3 card it's ok, if 6 it's insane and you won.
About Kingsbane tempo rogue looks ok with it, other decks with kingsbane are weak.
I'm not a new player, i played for 2 years every day. I am F2P tho so i can't exactly bother to continually craft things and refine my decks to be a top player. I'm happy at rank 15-10 with my gimmicky decks. My collection is nothing amazing but it is relatively big. Zola for example is a great control vs control card that add huge value to any deck, but i don't play vs control. In my last 100 games only around 25 have been against control and in those matches Zola wouldn't have helped. I used to be a priest only player, my favorite deck being wild N'zoth with Reno. But now either i lose turn 4-5 to ultra aggro or Rin warlocks with extremly greedier decks destroy me in dragged out games. I'm trying to play a new class and i limited it those 3 options which aren't control and have a diffrent playstyle than any other decks (throw away cards, draw and casts spells until either you die from fatigue or you win, huge weapon that sustains you all game) as opposed to stuff your deck with as much removal and boardclear (classic control) or play cheap high attack sticky minions and go face (classic aggro).
I want something diffrent from normal decks and these 3 deck are unique.
Think twice about dusting Zola the Gorgon - she is a cheap minion with a powerful Battlecry effect. The likelihood that she won't see competitive play in Standard over the next 18ish months before rotation is probably very small. I mostly play Wild - if you look at Zola's HSReplays numbers in the older format, she has a very high "win-rate when played" of +9%. In the future, if Standard ever allows value-oriented decks to compete again, she will likely become a staple in Control.
Can we not fixate on the Zola thing and concentrate on what i could/should craft with the dust i have ignoring the case that i need more dust and i DE legendaries
MMm, OP, I think, that the people are right about Zola.
Like Manic Soulcaster was good in Kazakus/value mage, so is Zola in a slow control deck, which benefits from a minion with a really powerful effect (battlecry>end of turn>deathrattle etc). There isn't much support for her in standard atm, maybe in Highlander, but she is really a powerful tool. At least wait for the next expansion, because the first ones of a certain year always have many high power-level cards, which are used throughout the next expansions (at least in the same year.)
As for the crafting advice - dunno. Quest warlock is only good, because the rest of the deck is normal control warlock, which carries the whole game. The reward in theory benefits the player versus control decks, so yeah. I can't help you any further.
the quest? I have enough dust to get queen lanathel and make a quest deck, but all my decks this meta are warlock decks other than a big spell priest. I'm thinking of making a new sort of mid range/tempo paladin with umbra/weapon synergy, but also seen another one that was more expensive, but did sime crazy death rattle stuff. not sure if that one is all that viable though as was just a homebrew deck i found someone playing on YT. It looks a ton of fun though.
Might just make this tempo paladin thoyugh for something else to play. I can't just play warlock forever, and paladin seems pretty decent (and also me one step close to a murloc paladin once they become good again)
Wait what? You put the quest in a deck with zero discard mechanics and think its good?
You know it is a combo deck and you dont want to discard a single card ? You want to get your doomguards with the weapon or your 5 mana 2/2s. Even if you could fullfill the quest you would weaken your guldan because you obviously want to get doomguards and voidlords and not 3/2s
I actually seen warlock quest in a pretty standard K&C control lock deck, just running cataclysm x 2. obviously it's not the most competative deck right now, but it isn't completely terrible neither. It's relatively easy to get the quest off now anyway.
I too cannot see this working at all in a combo-lock deck though, ha ha. I mean discarding when you have a combo is definitely not what you want to do.
You don't need queen lanathel though at least anyway.
I would not have considered playing had I not just got warlock quest in pack on xmas eve. my problem now is that i dusted the cataclysm I had before. I got another in pack, but I'm not spending 400 dust on another of this epic to make disco-lock. I don't want to D/E my warlock quest as I main warlock, so having all the archetypes is attractive to me.
We can keep hoping that disco will be better next expansion (lol) but tbh I hope they don't detract from making what is great about warlock now, even better.
cubelock is the best thing warlock has had in a long time, and I am too sick to death of everyone trying to play this deck and spoining it for us proper warlock players, but it has allowed me to step outside of the realms of warlock for a minute and discover some other great decks right now.
also loving the big spell priest as my kind of budget deck at the minute (and something a bit faster than playing constant control) but also found this new version of a popular paladin archetype. It deviously looks like the typical agro paladin deck that is circulating a lot right now (and getting destroyed by control lock, ha ha) but this a tempo, maybe even a tempo/mid range hybrid deck that utelises spiritsinger umbra with the paladin weapon for some great buffs. it then uses a dopplegangster and saronite chaingang to capitalise on umbra double buffing the weapon.
I am going to work on deathrattle version with n'zoth as well if can be done.
sorry for d-railing anyway, slept all of yesterday and woke up full of life (as if I slept all of xmas) so wanting to talk HS.
To the OP, don't dust cards unless they are just terrible and can never be good, if you are still opening cards from said set though, don't just D/E for the sake of it as you can open the card again.
If you are f2p or semi f2p then dusting can be a good idea though as it means you can finish off a competative deck that will see you months of play. You just have to try and be clever about it and don't D/E anything amazing like I did when i first started.
I D/E'd deathwing, ysera, tirion fordring, edwin vancleef and gromash hellscream from the classic set off the top of my head, all of which are amazing cards.
always dust your golds first unless golds are your thing. a golden legendary in my opinion should probably always be dusted, you get the same amount for a regular legendary from the card, so if you ever do need that card you can just craft it (or open it) again.
also dusting rares isn't a bad idea as these are easy to obtain compared to epic and legendary cards. don't bother dusting regular cards though as they just aren't worth anything at all.

Currently I am loving my Kingsbane Miracle Rogue deck, which runs Zola the Gorgon. There is great support for cycling cards and cycling Kingsbane, decent weapon buff and a lot of fun miracle cards. Not bad against aggro, tempo or control.

Also 100% good craft - Spiteful Summoner

for laddering and cheap... get mage weapon
kingsbane is fun and cheap also assuming you have most of the rogues set
only craft quest warlock set if you have too many spare dusts...purely memes here
Just DONT craft zavas or warlock quest...
I put it in my cube Warlock, works for me
Might just make this tempo paladin thoyugh for something else to play. I can't just play warlock forever, and paladin seems pretty decent (and also me one step close to a murloc paladin once they become good again)
