I saw something posted on Reddit which seems to "confirm" that the buffs will NOT attach to the minion's copy in your hand. This sucks, and means the card is crap in my view.
or turn 7 Feral Gibberer + Spikeridged Steed = 3/7 taunt that summon a 2/6 when he died when attack add this to your hand FOR 1 MANA
Aggro druid play Feral Gibberer and immediately buff it, it will be either be a 3/3 or a 2/2, and that is what aggro druid is missing, cheap card draw
I don't think you got the effect right. You will get a Feral Gibberer to your Hand. That's all. And you will never be able to attack (at least if your Opponent does try to avoid it). There are only a few things easier in hearthstone than remove an unstealthed 1 health minion.

is so easy to destroy a 5/5 ? or a 3/7 taunt ? it's not as easy as u think, + it's literally says ( a copy of that minion ) if it adds the basic 1/1 states the effect will be " add Feral Gibberer to your hand " not a copy of.
Argent Squire is better choice. elemental 1/2 still the best 1 drop . the body make it weak card. Also it is not tribal card (pirate, murloc, elemental, beast, or dragon). yeah 4/10 for me

Look at Convert which also gave you the respective minion. Buffs are only applied on the board. If you sap it or whatever, the buffs are gone. Exception being Crystal Core , C'Thun buffs and of course Hand buffs/Keleseth (but they also disappear if you get the minion back in Hand).
And yes, a 5/5 on turn 5 is not extremely difficult to kill. Neither is a 3/7 on turn 7. It is possible that These minions survive, but far from certain. Feral Gibberer is a bad minion, on par with Wretched Tiller.
This is the sort of card that would be amazing under the Eternal ruleset, but the way Hearthstone handles buffs and battlecries pretty much kills it.
Exactly what ran through my mind when I saw it

Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished
This might be good for a zoo deck. it has potential to have in your hand (combo with rouge). plays iffy with quest rouge. Doubtful buffs will be copied. beast tag would be nice. Draw this with tolans goblet. Ouch
if u can land just one attack with it as a rougue u have a nice combo activater beside ur firefly and the potential to generate even more if u have more minions on board ur opponent wants to get rid of, so i think it´s playable in some decks.
and it´s cute
I think you hit on the it's best attribute here. It's cute.
The issue, in my eyes, is it has to survive to get real use out of it. I think the most you can expect to get is 1 use IF you get to go first. At which point you get two 1/1s. Sure in Rogue that's a combo starter. Problem is Fire Fly is just better almost every way in that scenario. You get a 1/2 and another 1/2 instead of two 1/1. Additionally firefly is a guarnteed minion while there is no guarntee this guy will ever get to attack, especially if you aren't first. It's pretty clear how much that one health actually helps the survivablity of firefly. I think to be better than firefly in most cases you'd have to get three copies of the little bugger, which is going to be difficult on a non stealth 1/1, who doesn't have charge and dies to practically every form of mass removal. I think the only fringe scenario is that, in a vaccum, this guy is a bit better for quest rogue. However considering bounce effects, the new gorgon zola and the 2/3 that gives more firefly tokens, it is still less effective for quest rogue than firefly.
Lastly, you likely aren't going to want to run 6 one drops (as most rogues still run buccaneer).
I think that Blizz puts cards like this into sets to increase sales.. This is a rare. Which means it might be the best thing in your pack. in the MTG days we called it Card Bloat. They would make way less money if a set only consisted of the 40-60 cards that are relevant. This is the kind of card that is the reason you need to buy 60 packs instead of 20!
They should have made it a 2 drop and given it stealth or charge at least then it would see some play although still not be worth a spot in many decks.
Possibly useful in a token deck. If you get one of these to survive and attack face, you can potentially never run out of 1-mana 1/1s, which in an aggro token deck is extremely valuable.

Are you unaware of how insane this would be if it had charge? It would push quest rogue back into meta AND MAKE IT STRONGER!
People didnt realize the effect, this minion can easily be super broken, specially with aggro druid, paladin
Paladin : Turn 5, Feral Gibberer + Blessing of Kings ,when attack a hero add a 1 mana 5/5 to your hand,

Fun card. Perhaps not effective, but fun. I will play with it some and see if I can find a fun deck to utilize it.

Savagery was nerfed because it was OP, lol. Cursed blade is not that bad if you play against control...
A fine acquisition to my quest hunter.

alright listen listen,
A) Put this in discard lock. Generate low value cards to discard. Profit.
B) Prince Taldaram . Boom. INFINITE TALDARAM. Probably. It won't work like that but MAYBE.
