I raise a question - is there a worse rare card in the whole game?
I can name more than a few.
This card has some pretty cool potential in that it can essentially infinitely feed itself if left left unchecked which essentially makes it a Firefly that's much worse in the early game but sometimes insane in the late game. I could see some Keleseth Rogues maybe trying it out before deciding it's not that good although this card REALLY shines in conjunction with Handbuff Paladin since it gives you infinite 1 mana tokens to buff.
When has a 1/1 minion ever been left unchecked?
Even if you buff the first one, you're not going to be able to keep that up. Subsequent ones will die in short order. They can't get past taunts, which are everywhere these days. They die to any board clear, and every class runs board clears.
There is nothing infinite about this unless your opponent is AFK.

It just creates a threat that is annoying to manage hunter you can trigger quest also viable for rogue for this reason. I could see it run in zoo even there are alot of practical applications for this card as a 1 drop neutral minion its very good and has alot of niches it can fill. Rating it bad is underrating the card it will be popular just like firefly even without the elemental tag.
As far as I know, copies only retain buffs if they stay on the board. Adding a copy to your hand or deck causes the buffs to go away. That's why Dopple and Chain Gang work with buffs while Soulcaster and Convert don't.
So in order to get a second copy of this you need to:
Play a subpar minion with bad statline.
Assume that your opponent will not kill it on their turn.
Hit opposing players FACE with it.
As a token generator engine it is extremely slow and and basically requires buff cards to stay alive. And in order to produce any value you cannot even use it to control the board. And the saddest thing is that it can take a rare slot in your arena drafts..

There are actually not alot of turn 1 taunts that get played so your opponent in alot of cases is deciding to remove it early or let you walk away with 2-4 copies of it in your hand. As even turn 2 there are not a large amount of taunts run meaning you could pretty easily get 2 damage out of it early playing it which is kind of what you are really hoping for out of it. Ideally to get 1 more minion than a fire fly playing on the draw he looses some value. The card is good because there are alot of different ways to get value out of it in every class. At 1 health it might not be good enough but it might also be very good worst case its really not bad in a few decks like handbuff paladin which is mostly going to want to play it for the card cycle much like quest hunter its just 1 more drop towards your goal.
Highlander Priest - 1 Drops to trigger anduins ability.
Any Rogue Deck - Combo Card Generator.
Quest Rogue - Obvious the plan here.
Quest Hunter - An extra 1 drop to trigger quest.
Handbuff Paladin - Restocks your Hand.
Steward of Darkshire, Savage Rage, Blood Lust, Evolve.
This is just like a list of a half dozen ways to use this card off the top of my head if its good enough to be great is hard to say but there are alot of niches can be used with it.
It says copy so that you don’t need to put the minion in your hand with which you just attacked. Should work like Convert . Up till now, crystal core and c‘thun Are the only buffs that stay also in hand since they are a sort of area effects.
@ topic: i just don’t get it. When was it ever a problem to get rid of a 1/1... and the only thing you get is another 1/1 for 1 mana. It’s not stealthed, it has a condition, it does no damage. I mean, even if I let it attack, be my guest and play another 1/1 for 1 instead of something relevant.

If a class with a non damaging Hero power wants to waste a card on this I'm alright with that. And if a rogue has to waste their coin to Hero Power turn one, that's also great for you.

But another copy of this minion in your hand is hardly game breaking either. FYI, Fire Fly gives you a 1-2 in your hand every time...

But you are aware that you yourself wasted a Card on Feral Gibberer by putting it in your deck, are you?
It will rarely trade 1 for 1 and even if you trigger the effect, you get another 1 mana 1/1. There are nearly unlimited scenarios I am more afraid of than this minion attacking me. Feral Gibberer is bad tempo and usually no value (it will die for free).

Which card do i copy? The crappy 1/1 or the malygos that was attacked with the 1/1
This card is good.
It gives you combo value in rogue.
Shaman and Druid it grants token value.
Paladin its got hand buff potential.

Wow, Gibberlings in Hearthstone. That's new.
What if you buff it? Says copy...
Fire Fly, Mistress of Mixtures, Voidwalker, Flame Imp, Mana Wyrm, Enchanted Raven, Malchezaar's Imp, Vilefin Inquisitor, Murloc Tidecaller...
What do they have in comon? They are 1-3, 2-2, 3-2, or 2x 1-2 for 2 in the case of Fire Fly and/or snowball potential.
-but realistically, this is on the level of these guys:

It may be good in some quest hunter deck in a faraway universe
I read it as after this minion attacks to another minion put a copy of that minion. Now I realized that this card is a trash.
Pack filler
When it works, it can e busted in aggro, but, it is very for it work, maybe when Patches rotates out.
My magic will tear you apart!

Now people are debating whether it keeps buffs or not.
Even if it does, it still won't see play
