How does "add a copy of it to your hand" work? Does it copy spells cast on it?
Buddy, it adds the same card you played back to you hand. Don’t overthink it, read the cardtext and assume that what it’s saying is exactly what it does.

idk why need to be snarky about it. I don't play Paladin and haven't seen how "add a copy to your hand" works with a minion.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
I could see this being used in Handbuff Paladin, where the Pally would buff it up with Divine Shield and other cards so that copies would keep flowing into the Paladin's hand and then it could just get a consistent flow of new cards. Of course, any class with a ping hero power could get rid of them pretty easily with time, and there'd have to be a pretty consistent stream of buffs on the little guy. There's also the chance of Evolve Shaman putting Windfury on this thing to generate lots of copies for the sake of getting a big board to Evolve, but you're way better off just going for the Evolve on Dopplegangster or something like that. At least with Thrall, Deathseer you can't end up with any Doomsayers ruining your board and you can get a 3-drop every time you hero power one of the little guys. Even despite that interesting prospect, however, it still runs the question of whether or not the guys would even survive.
It’s a funny card, but it’s hard to imagine how this would ever be good enough to fit into a competitive deck. The best fit I can imagine is a flood deck, but that 1 health body is always going to be super easy to remove, so the effect won’t happen very often.
I raise a question - is there a worse rare card in the whole game?
I can name more than a few.
This card has some pretty cool potential in that it can essentially infinitely feed itself if left left unchecked which essentially makes it a Firefly that's much worse in the early game but sometimes insane in the late game. I could see some Keleseth Rogues maybe trying it out before deciding it's not that good although this card REALLY shines in conjunction with Handbuff Paladin since it gives you infinite 1 mana tokens to buff.
I rated it as "Bad" but I think there's a possibility that some kind of weird handbuff Paladin deck might be able to make use of this. If any copy survives to attack, and then you get to attack with original and clone this thing can get kind of crazy but I'm still not holding my breath for this to be a thing.
The issue with this card is the issue that there is with a lot of 1 health minions (like Volatile Elemental). It costs your opponent 2 mana and no cards to shut it down completely. This is true of a third of the classes. (Rogue, Druid, Mage) And the rest all have cheap/proficient ways to clear a 1 health minion anyway.
I think if quest hunter gets enough other tools to be good, it MIGHT have a place there. But it's so tricky to use.
My frontrunner for most underrated card so far. I've been pretty good at calling these. This makes a lot of 1/1s. It is incredibly snowbally and relatively low risk. This has a ton of potential and I'd look to build around him asap
It's interesting, I'll grant. On the downside, mage can ping it away with the hero power, as can rogue or druid if it isn't behind a taunt.
I don't think it'll copy buffs. None of the other cards that add a copy of a card to your hand do afaik.
Probably a bad card tbh, but very cute.
Since seronite chain gang and the ooze from naxx both summon a copy of this minion so if you add a copy it should be the same with buffs and whatever you put on it, even though i don't know how this would work with Spikeridged steed and so on since those interactions would be kinda weird and broken? Weird wording indeed.
I wonder if they could have pushed to the edge here and made it a beast...thought thundra rino would kinda be dangerous with it.

Has it not been determined is this buffs the copies if a buff is on the card?
seems decent in some sort of buff aggro decks. Especially if it keeps the 1 mana cost.
This is an Arena card. It does have soft taunt, which may count for something.
Clearly the best card in the set!
Kind of a fun way to set up combo cards for rogue, but ultimately probably worse than the many ways they already have.
I don't like this card at all but it has token druid written all over it, potentially infinite tokens... so playable for those token decks
At least the art is cute...

Balancing busted cards version 1.0.

Just to be clear, no card in Hearthstone has ever kept a buff when put into your hand. This card is no different. Buffs will not stick to copies.
Mmm
Great with quest Pally
