Wow. This is a super interesting card. It's great vs aggro when the opponent has very limited resources left in their hand. But it can lose you a game vs control to the point that it's almost a dead card.
I don't think you've thought this through against control. You would LOVE to bait out a bunch of minions and follow this up with Brawl - that's an easy win-condition in a control mirror. And if they DON'T drop all their minions after you play this, but keep on trickling them out one by one, then you've essentially dodged the downside of the card. I think it'll be much better in practice than you're expecting.
Except the danger here isn't them flooding the board. It's holding on to minions for discounted combo plays. a three mana Lyra with free Radiant elementals is fucking dangerous.
something tells me DeathKnight warrior is gonna do something with this armor mechanic. any ideas?
No idea, maybe something like remove your armor and deal damage equally to your opponents minions. Just an idea but I'm thinking something where you remove the armor you have for some sort of gain.
Great desing. Good vs aggro to bait AoE and great against decks like freeze damage to deal with healing post-Alex, which they were struggling with a bit because newer styles of Warrior ran less Armor gain effects.
It definitely makes shield slam a lot better than Iron hide would which is the major difference here, 20 vs 10 armor is actually a bid difference and the 2 vs 1 mana is negligible., It's decent vs midrange decks that keep on trying to damage you. and you could also bluff a brawl with it... I'm leaning towards in won't work unless there is another armor synergy card... perhaps the warrior deathknight card.
I realy like the idea of this card, can be pretty useful vs aggro decks when they are in topdeck mode, since thtey usually won't have much left in their hand. Also great with Shield Slam when things get desperate.
probably the first card of this new set that I would consider very well designed, hoping for more like this
I can't help but feel like this card is questionable in terms of usage. It can be used as a Brawl or Primordial Drake + Sleep with the Fishes combo bait, but it could usually work for less experienced players, because more professional ones will carefully manage the board to minimilize the loss of their board presence from mentioned removals, in fact this card is quite unique, because it gets weaker the higher average skill goes.
We'll definitely have to see if this card is worth using after the expansion hits. Now it is hard to tell if the results will be fine enough. Will it be decent against spell-heavy decks? Who knows...
I agree that the cards scope, or window of usefulness is lower at high levels of play. No doubt. But this is going into control warrior right, so in the set up against aggro you will generally just use it. Against control or combo you will try and get to fatigue, at which point the card becomes preeeetttty good.

OH excellent excellent point!! You don't need to bait out minions for a brawl, at high level you could bluff having a brawl. Love it.
Soooo strong! 10 armor for 2 mana!? The downside is hardly a downside with Warrior's removal package. This is a must have vs all aggro and will be interesting to see how it fares in control matchups.
All of these people talking about how GG it is to play this T4 and brawl T5. What idiot is going to put their entire hand down T5? Everybody knows to play around Brawl. They can have three minions down and cast a spell or use a hero power and then wait for you to waste Brawl before putting more down.
Interesting card. It's easy that after play it backfires so the skill of the player is on test. Those comparing it to Iron Hide, 5 armor is very diferent to 10. The second can save you from letal and kill a minion with Shield Slam while the second not.
Very good card with minor draw back! Anyone who says this card is bad is rank 20.
give 2 ticks of emperor thaurissan to your opponent, 2 mana, does not impact the board in any way.
"minor drawback".
Don't use ranks to argue against people. This is silly. I proved your argument wrong so you must be rank 25. right ?
I don't agree with him just auto calling people rank 20. Those are the sort of words that taste the worst later on down the line lol. I will say however it's not an automatic 2 turns of Thaurissan. First big difference, it doesn't affect spells. Second big difference is you determine the timing on when it's played as opposed to the opponent (I.E. when they have all the combo pieces they need). This is a big factor as that means you can play it when your opponent is least likely to get the benefit.
This is interesting because in the late game against aggro decks, they're usually running out of cards, and trying to rush you down ASAP. This pretty much guarantees it doesn't happen, and the downside is negligible because all the minions they're holding are probably playable in a single turn anyways.
But in other scenarios, it's probably not that great.
The shield slam combo is potentially amazing- 4 mana do 10 damage to a minion. That and the aggro help/ not too be- though it has major drawbacks for midrange and some control decks. 3 stars

Considering Iron Hide . is this card garbage?

I tried having fun once. It was awful.
The 1st step towards a better game is firing Mike Donais! We had enough of his "skillful" balances!

Terrible card compared to Iron Hide. and Iron Hide itself is a terrible card.
Check out my entry for this week's Card Design Competition. Vote for it if you like it.

interesting card it encourages opponents to play their minions rather than hold them, ending stalemate scenarios.
Very good card with minor draw back! Anyone who says this card is bad is rank 20.
Intriguing concept! BTW might be the ultimate example of trade-off.

Nails the flavour as well. That's always a plus.

gimmicky but not awful. Could see some new strats with this.
