Amazing for Control decks. The downside is not worse than Zombie Chow. Mage Spell focused decks won't care about the downside (with glyph on turn 2, etc.)
We all thought Zombie Chow was anti-aggro and it ended up being included in aggro decks. While Zombie Chow was used in aggro for board control against other aggro decks, the statline was still so efficient that it could overcome its own deathrattle in some matchups.
There's a real possibility that this also finds its way into aggro decks as a card you drop after you've flooded the board with your other 1- and 2-mana minions. The stats are super efficient, and you can still play spells (like Kill Command and Animal Compan- I mean Huffer) and hero powers (Steady Shot) without penalty. This card seems really anti-aggro, but I guarantee it will make aggro lists as a super efficient card to squeeze out on turn 3 or 4 AFTER all the other minions are played. It'll work differently from Zombie Chow, but that drawback is controllable and the stat line is still super efficient in a meta game now lacking 3 damage removals.
Unlike zombie chow this card is only playable if you don't play anything after it. Even if you get it turn 1 with proper non-minion based plays for turns 2 and 3 it will only save you 1 mana while getting it into hand any other time can be completely dead draw.
I predict that drawback will be way too harsh for people to actually run this card. It seems reasonable at a glance, until you realize you can't play almost anything else early until this card dies lol.
Okay, so the biggest problem is that you cant coin into two on turn one. So you cant play it in aggro decks.Mistress of Mixtures is a much better drop in control and Nzoth decks, so you woudnt include it either.
Its a really cool card, but i cant think of a deck, where it could be playable, ofc except Arena.
Could be good in Jade Druid . Its not so versitale like roots if you topdeck it later but on T1 for sure stronger.
Could also be good in Buffadin, the biggest issue there is probably to stick a minion on the board , if ppl ignore this it could get buffed alot until the quest is finished.
I would probably add that to my Renolock as another 1 drop along with Mistress, but since Reno is gone, not sure highlanders are here to stay and I'd probably run 2 Mistresses in handlock.
What minion would CW play on turn 2? Maybe Armorsmith, Cruel Taskmaster or Unstable Ghoul, but it happens way more often that you just play the Winaxe or use the hero power, so that is a deck where this could see play.
This seems just to be a verry bad card. even on later turns if you cant clear it or nemy freezes it etc. this can stop your curve and lose you the game.
I was thinking hunter with tons of spells and lock and load or jade druids with very low count of creatures
maybr more spell base decks that can generate minions through other mean like animal companion unleash the hound and stuff. Even on the hunt bear trap and the one that makes a 4/2 cat or even snake trap

Finally came around to test the card in constructed. Gotto say, in a jade druid shell filled with early game spells it does not suck, especially against more aggressive decks that can't afford to not play minions to the board.
I'm not sure the cuts you have to make are worth it, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the card get popular if druid gets another good early game spell in the next expansion.
Anyone else tested it in some other shell? Mage maybe?

It is a good early card for Control decks that rely more on spells instead of minions, it might fit for Priest.
Wow, great card for Pala!! His tokens from spells and hero power and buffs are not increasing in cost. Well be surely see played if meta will be fast
I dont think its good, but I was wrong about chow so Ill be wrong here.

I could see playing this in at least 5 different decks at first look
I honestly might play this just because it doesn't hurt your N'zoth

Most definitely not. In what way? xD

For reference, spells you can/want to play between turns 1-3ish: Wild Growth, Jade Idol, Jade Blossom, Wrath, Innervate and Feral Rage. All of them 2-of. There is Earthen Scales too, but you probably don't want to use them early on, especially when it's helping Emerald Hive Queen to survive.

I use it in Curator Freeze Mage for early game control.
