Is this being over-hyped? Obviously it's good and will be in any N'Zoth decks, but Bronn was better overall. Why? Because battlecries are generally much stronger and have more board impact than deathrattles. For the most part, deathrattles do something small, draw a card or put a lesser minion on the board, etc. There's a few exceptions like Sylvannas, Cairne Bloodhoof or Twilight Summoner, of course. But a turn 10, put a 3/4, and two 4/5's on the board (Umbra + Cairne) is not a game-breaking turn. Remember, Hunter had Feign Death which is on par or a better card than this, and it didn't see play.
For those who think it's going to replace Bronn in Jade, remember that Bronn hit 4-6 jade-summoning cards, whereas Umbra only hits Aya (or Rogue, but Jade Rogue didn't see much play). You're not going to put a card into the deck that synergizes with only one other card like this unless it's game breaking or your finisher. It only spawns one more jade, you're better off running a Brewmaster for more consistency if all you need is one more Jade.
It's a good card, but would probably only be seen in Priest N'Zoth, and might be played in a new Rogue, Hunter or Shaman deck. People are getting blinded by the value of some odd combos, without realizing that those are turn 9 or turn 10 combos and only spawn a lot of medium health minions, and nothing board impacting. If you want to spawn a lot of minions on turn 10, just run Jade Druid without this card.
My thoughts exactly.
While I am pretty pumped for playing this card in my Wild Rogue Reno N'Zoth deck (my favourite!), this isn't as strong as Brann Bronzebeard because :
The most impactful Battlecries in the game are significantly better than the best Deathrattles.
The additional 1 mana in the casting cost is very relevant to a card which will probably die in your opponent's next turn and hence needs to be played in the same turn as the relevant Deathrattle cards.
2/4 for 3 is more efficiently statted than 3/4 for 4.
Having said all of that, there has never been a BATTLECRY!!! deck waiting for Brann whereas there are existing Deathrattle archetypes for Spiritsinger Umbra to go straight in to, so I'm still pretty excited for this card and will craft it the second it becomes clear that it has a place in the new metagame.
Rotating out of standard and still not Wild playable
Ah I didn't realize I was in the Standard section of the card discussion. Can you link me to where they're discussion how this affects Wild only?
Not only does such a thing not exist it is also completely irrelevant given your post and my reply.
Well since this is for card discussion, it's not very conducive to discussion to simply say "not viable." T9 Umbra + Sentinel for a 4/4 and 6/7 which must be dealt with is not like the worst play ever.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
This will be the most lasting card of the set imo, the new Brann, as others have stated. Also seems to be highly limiting for the next two years as far as new deathrattles go. This card seems insane for deathrattle priest. Also, I'm not so sure a board full of irreplaceable 1/1 Dreadsteeds is a good thing, but even so, the better combo is to play Voidcaller with Dreadsteed in hand.
Almost Brann replacement-esc after he rotates. Interesting card, seems like it will be played exactly how Brann is now. Good in decks where there is synergy, helpful in lots of different combos, early and late game use. Excellent card.

It's a discussion about Spiritsinger Umbra, not Anubisath Sentinel but okay let's take a look at it.
First of all let's establish the fact that Anubisath Sentinel did never see any significant amount of play in any relevant archetype since it's release mostly for the simple reason that the card itself is not very good. Now that we have that established we need to discuss the possibility of adding this bad card to a deck just to enable some fringe T9 combo.
Secondly and that was the point of my initial post we have to look at it in the Wild enviroment in which the power level of cards on average is a bit higher than what we currently have in standard. Now let's look at the combo you have proposed, basically summing up to a 9 mana, 2 card investment in order to get 10/11 worth of stats on the battlefield without any immediate impact on the board state.
Now that alone doesn't look all that impressive, it get's even worse if you consider that for 1 mana more you could do a Sylvanas Windrunner combo, lastly it is worth mentioning that the only scenario in which this would even be a relevant combo is in a match against a midrange or control deck. Both archetypes with plenty of removal options against which a pure stat play at turn 9 will probably result in you loosing the game. The same reason why playing a Mountain Giant for anything more than 6 mana is so very painful.
Hope the length of this answer is more to your liking.
Thanks. And wanting to discuss possible card combos with a combo oriented card is entirely relevant to this thread.

I agree with everything you said. Brann in general was a much better "generalist". He could fit into many decks but generally didn't spawn one's of his own. This card is more focused in the sense that it's not something that will fit into every deck but will generally only see play in deathrattle themed decks or at least decks that feature heavy deathrattle minion numbers. That being said, I am interested in the "Summon" portion of the card. Should be interesting the type of stuff people can come up with for it.
Probably in three months, we will see (Umbra nerf) next to our post number in each forum entry... but until then I plan on abusing this
For me they can nerf "summon" to "play", is just insane in Wild with Dread and Shredder.
"Insane"? 8 mana, summon a 3/4, a 4/3 and a random 2 drop? I mean, Silver Hand Knight is a 5 mana, summon a 4/4 and a 2/2, so you could play a better turn with SHK + Spider Tank (or Bronn + SHK for more value).
People are over-hyping this. It's not as strong as Brann.
Yes, think if you get a 2 drop with deathrattle like Pyros or mad scientist, you get a 3/4, a 4/3, a 2/2 and a free secret or a free draw, even a creep or a gnome is awesome too.

Spiritsinger Umbra + Dreadsteed = full board?

Fantastic card with a lot of synergy with a wide variety of decks. Baron Rivendare + Spiritsinger Umbra + anything else deathrattle would be fun.

This thing is insane if you can get it to live more than one turn. You can combo it later in the game for instant effects.
And in Wild you can unleash a 10 mana Sylvanas combo.
Wild steed warlock boys! I'll probably play this in my wild egg rogue too!
Fun fact: this is the first Neutral card we've seen that doesn't have a Battlecry.
I don't think it's a coincidence that we've seen so many Battlecries until now since Brann Bronzebeard is rotating out.
lol

bonkers
Maybe its Role is to be the new Brann Bronzebeard... simply amazing!
