I think, they just listed collectible minions. Twilight Elemental should be an elemental.
I disagree and here's why. The tribe interaction with Elementals is that they gain a bonus if you played an Elemental the turn before. Not summoned, PLAYED. Twilight Elemental is a token minion, therefore cannot be played, so giving it the Elemental tag is redundant.
But what if you somehow manage to return this token to your hand ? All clearly Elemental minoins should be tagged just for the sake of consistency.

Plus, even though "played the turn before" is the MAIN thing with Elementals, I would be pretty surprised if there wasn't at least one card somewhere along the lines of "give Elementals +1/+1"
It can be Sapped and you can play it from hand via this type of interactions. And it would be inconsistent if you don't put an "Elemental" tag to a minion that has "Elemental" in its name.
Stone sentinel costs 7 and is at best when all conditions are met worth 7 mana... Would have seen some play in Vanilla hearthstone, utter trash in 2017.
I disagree with this. Without the condition, this would be overtuned. While it's no Doctor Boom, it is 8/10 with (some) taunt for 7 mana -- susceptible to AoE, but stronger against single-target removal. And, for shaman, Bloodlust / flametongue synergy too.
HOWEVER, I do think it should be slightly stronger if they really want decks built around elemental synergies.
(personally, I think if it's not going to be tuned stronger, it should at least have an if/then type of activation ... if an elemental wasn't played the turn before, it shouldn't be absolute garbage.)
Lore wise it would make sense for Hallazeal to be tagged as an elemental, considering ascendants are supposed to be puny mortals elevated to a higher form of being.
In WoW all plants and non-mechanical constructs are tagged as Elemental. We can skip plants, because of druid (Ancient of War,Treant,Sapling), also Sherazin, Corpse Flower isn't elemental. But still there is many untagged elementals:

Absolutely agree, but I guess Team5 loves inconsistencies or will be too lazy to change them.
Well, I get that buffing Jades and making the Jade/ Elemental synergies is the last thing they want to do. I also believe that Twilight Elemental is going to be an elemental and it wasn't on the list, because it's token.
I wonder, shouldn't Illidan Stormrage's Flame of Azzinoth be an elemental too? I'm pretty sure it is in WOW. Maybe it wont be much of a buff anyway since the Elemental mechanic triggers on "Played" and not "Summon"

According to this, they're a breed called Entropic Elemental. I guess it's up to interpretation what Team 5 recognize as an elemental. I think they should be given a tribe regardless if it's demon or elemental, to give Illidan a buff in some direction. http://wow.gamepedia.com/Flame_of_Azzinoth
I mean... I guess they look like shades, but it's still kind of weird. Also disappointing that druid Treants aren't elementals, that could have added some new functionality to Force of Nature. Oh well, otherwise I like it!
Come on people, iv seen this thing asked a lot... "A shadow is a dark area where light from a light source is blocked by an object." - so therefor a shadow can never be an elemental

Accoridng to your link they are Entropic elementals (DEMON). Same reason why infernals aren't elementals.

Am'gam Rager isn't a shadow. It's extinguished Magma Rager. You can see steam around him and he's definietly made of stone. Technically he is Basalt Rager or something like that.

WILL THE RAGER DECK FINALLY SEE PLAY?! IVE BEEN WAITING TO TAKE GOLDEN MAGMA RAGER TO LEGEND
Take a look at my card creations here in vojza's mini expansion topic.
What about Fen Creeper and Bog Creeper ? War Golem ?
Where oh where is Hallazeal the Ascended's Elemental tag?

I do hope there are some Rogue Shadowstep elemental shanigans to be had!

Twilight Elemental, War Golem, Lightspawn, Obsidian Destroyer, Eerie Statue, jade creatures (Jade Golem, Jade Behemoth, Jade Spirit), Shadow Rager, Mana Geode, Avian Watcher, Am'gam Rager, Hallazeal the Ascended
Arcane Golem should be a mech, same as The Curator. Flame of Azzinoth should be a demon, giants are giants.
Arcane Anomaly is an elemental but not Mana Wraith?

Since the mage spell has elemental synergy does that mean other spells could have elemental synergy as well?
Deal 4 damage, if you played an elemental last turn summon a 3/3 elemental with taunt. (Just an example.)
