Well if 1 card can bring down almost all control decks i would consider it pretty op.
Jade idol prob wins you 1 out of 3 match ups on the spot.
I'd argue that gadget does that not idol. No deck in the current meta plays anything close to fatigue and without gadget the deck wouldn't consistently find its healing to beat burn mage or the jades that overwhelm control. That's not even touching on the fact that gadget is the only reason the "infinite value" from idols ever come into play. Let's also not call a good matchup an instant win either. Medivh decks, Paladin decks, and frost nova doomsayer decks can easily flip the board in their favor and push for a win. Control priest is even starting to run divine spirit inner fire which can easily catch druid off guard and get a cheesy win. Ramp Druid does anti control better in this meta by far.
Yes a card in a tier 2 deck that sees no play outside of one very specific deck is clearly the most powerful and universally run card without a doubt.
On a more serious note, it's probably patches the pirate. When decks like aggro druid run a really crappy 1/2 pirate just to get the patches swing turn, you know the card is powerful. Heck, I saw a hybrid mage running it for weapon removal + deck thinning.
Being in a tier 2 deck doesn't mean anything. This card gives you infinite value, infinite cards and infinite stats for only 1 mana. It makes control archetypes useless. Jade Idol is a class card pal, and it also needs some setup. Of course it will be played only one specific deck. What kind of a stupid comment was that? If you need any proof, just look at win rate of Jade Druid against control decks (Priest, Paladin, Warrior and even Mage). That would be enough. Do not bother to find it I am giving you the link: http://www.vicioussyndicate.com/vs-data-reaper-report-56/
Also, being good against an archetype doesn't mean that the card is overpowered.
So, why did they nerf Quest Rogue? It was good against Control decks. All of aggro decks were seeing this matchup like a piece of cake. Playing against a Jade Druid makes me so much stressed. It is just frustrating. You said that Control Priest and Control Paladin decks are not that bad against this deck. Yes, they perform better than Taunt or Control Warrior. But this doesn't change that they are unfavoured against that deck.
You said that tempo decks win against that deck. Yes, they do. And, if you want to win against Jade Druid with Control Decks, you need tempo. You have to play on curve every single turn. So, you need to draw well. I do not like playing like that. This archetype is just unfun to play against. Also, not interactive at all.
Jade druid can't win on turn 1 and there is generally some decision making taking place when they don't curve out. More often than not, a quest being completed by turn 5 meant gg if you weren't aggro. Jade druid games regularly extend well past turn 10. That said, Yogg saron is still givi g jade druids unearned wins. Wish that card was deleted from the game.
Battlecry: if your opponent is winning so far, Deal 15 damage pyroblast face and have a 8/8 on board, if you're mage, kill your opponent next turn. So fun and interactive.
Ice Block and Auctioneer imo, I'd be surprised if they remain in standard next rotation as Blizz was already thinking about putting them in HoF for this current rotation.

I agree that Patches is strong, but the reason we see it in Druid is also because it's a good tech against PW. And I bet you won against that Hybrid Mage.

Patches is the most powerful card in this game history, period.
1- Free mana, cost 0.
2- Free damage, charge for cost 0.
3- Thin deck, it is relevant for agressive deck never will lose for fatigue, win or lose before that.
4- Pirate tag free.
5- Free card, you don't spend a draw to have it.
For comparison, to others cards have the same power of this absolutely insane OP bullshit card, the texts need to be changed for:
Backstab: 0 manas causes 2 damage in an undamaged minion, if opponent play a minion with 2 or less health play this card from your deck with that minion as a target.
Water Elemental: 4 manas 3/6 Freeze any character damaged by this minion, when an opponent minion as frozen put this minion from your deck in play.
You get the idea, every single card in this game is a completely useless garbage in comparison to Patches, before this cursed card aggro decks cannot kill in turn 4 or 5, this deserve a nerf much more than any previous nerfed card, this is the worst card ever made.

Compared to ooze it's a pretty bad tech. The reason it is used is because 2 bodies (both with upsides) for 1 mana is insane in a token deck.
It's a toss-up between Patches, Innervate and Preparation. That's looking at the cards in isolation though, not accounting for the decks they can be used in.

Dunno about overpower but bigggest cards out there in meta are Ice Block and Patches the Pirate for me.
