The same happens to me all the time. I created a kingsbane rogue deck just for the purpose of queuing into the big priest I've just faced and make him pay for using that shit.
Yesterday I beat a big priest with mech baku quest warrior. Cleared his trash board of rag jsharrls etc and hit him in the face with 16 dmg hero power (the doubling mech) and emoted thanks. He instantly conceded. People are always going to try and use the easiest win in video games. Picked up the newest CoD and there is a scrub or three using paladin(sniper rifle that one hit in core games without even adding attachments, something no sniper rifle has ever done in any of the previosu CoDs I've played. Dumb as hell.) every single fucking game. Majority of aggro decks arent quirky fun in any way, just super easy to get a win with.
wild has been only big priests and kingsbane rogues for months. used to love wild but I gave up around the time they printed psychmelon. if blizzard takes a more active stance in adressing the formats issues like standard i'll pick it up again.

Good. Whole idea of wild format is pretty fucking stupid anyway. Have fun with fighting kingsbane rogue masochist.
I find it curious that Kingsbane rogue is the most hates matchup while Even shaman is the cookie-cutter powerhouse, with a good chance of beating everything.
Even Shaman is really OP deck but kinda "fair". Thats why there are way less complaint about him
A fair deck can be unbalanced. Fairness is a really murky term due to it's possitive connotations. It should probably have a term that puts emphasis on "playing normally" or "an expected gameplan if you know nothing about the current meta". A fair deck plays dudes, trades, and do all the normal things expected from a normal game of hearthstone.
An unfair deck will do something completely out of left field if you don't know the deck beforehand. Like barnesing out an old god. Or togwaddling you. Or playing a turn one 8/8 edwin. Or bursting you from full health, behind a taunt, that spawns another taunt.
Both unfair decks can be good, bad, or balanced. Power level is disjoint from fairness.
Well at the time you made this thread it was just before the end of the season and when that happens a lot of people will stop playing to preserve their rank and since not many people play wild then yeah you are gonna find the same people on ladder a lot during that time.
I play wild from time to time, but usually just to get away from standard if it's feeling like drudgery. To be honest, I treat the wild ladder as a way to build toward golden hero cards and meme a bit.
I think the format needs to be re-imagined to convince players to join. Letting you use literally any card is all well and good, and there's no reason to scrap the format, but they need alternatives that limit the scope of the cards you're using. Formats that feature curated sets of cards from across Wild to create themed formats. Or formats that have slightly different rules - maybe you gain 2 mana each turn, or maybe you get to pick one card to always be in your opening mulligan, etc. Something to spice it up so that degenerate decks like Big Res Priest can't just polarize the heck out of it forever.

At least with even shaman, a lot of decks have a fighting chance. The problem with Kingsbane rogue is that you almost 100% know the result of the match before it even starts. Playing aggro? Congrats, you win. Anything else? Concede, its a waste of time.
Because of big priest and other kingsbane rogue...
Stop whinig about Kingsbane Rogue. Play a non control deck and you crush this deck most of the time with ease. I have nearly 100% WR with Even Shaman against it. And if you have problems with Big Priest: Here Shaman with Hex is really strong too. And this is only one example.
Wild is not "dead". It is just less populated. I have no problems finding opponents there and queing against the same players - where is the problem? I played about 20 games yesterday from rank 7 to 5 and as far as I remember, I only got the same opponent at one point two matches in a row.
Blizzard should make a special stream lessons or youtube videos in which they explain the the only way hs should be played is with supa dupa 1000 IQ control/combo homebrewed decks and 30 minutes long match is a minimum time period that proves you're not braindead blah blah something etc.

Not everybody wants to play garbage curvestone decks.

Then thats your problem. :P
But beside that: There are enough other counters to these decks. Just look in this thread for example, where people listed a lot of possible tools (for non "curve decks") to beat Kingsbane Rogue.

of course wild is dead, there is literally no support for the format. wild cards are so much harder to get than standard cards, blizzard said something along the lines of they didn't want players to perceive wild cards as less valuable but made them impossible to get without paying real money. they should have made the crafting costs for wild cards a lot lower but blizzard doesn't really care about wild anyways.

i've done a similar thing but this was on wild CASUAL, queued into the same Even shamman a couple of times while i was trying to use a meme Inkmaster Solia got tired of him and just qued with Evenlock just for the purpose of ruining his day, next 4 games were my Evenlock vs his even shamman (it was the same username no kidding) needless to say i stomped him those games, seriously though; people playing Even shamman in wild CASUAL need to get their balls cut off because they got none anyways.
I just played the same opponent FOUR times in a row at rank 5 in wild. Is no one playing this format anymore?
That's actually what I enjoy about Wild, because it makes counter queuing strategies a thing and forces you to play different decks. In standard most people just grind with one list as they don't have to fear getting countered.
I'm playing meme paladin, trying to have fun. Playing the same control warlock 4 times in a row is not fun.
Have you tried not instantly queuing back up? I've had high success counter queuing people in casual with my meme decks multiple times in a row by queuing right away the second game, waiting 8-10 seconds the third game, and queuing right away again the fourth game.
If you wait a few seconds before queuing you often won't even get that second game against somebody you don't want to play against.
Rank 20 - 15 wild is considerably more fun than either mode in casual. Once you starrt climbing ranks though you quickly start running into orgues and big preists...so don't. Meme it up in the basement, its a lot of fun.
Standard is dead. My deck is Tess rogue- enemy is odd Paladin. My deck is control lock- enemy is odd Paladin. My deck is elem sham - enemy is odd Paladin.

Long live the gimmicky decks!
Fun > Meta

Exactly the same decks. I feel you bro :)
ooo Goodie!
Can't say much about the higher ranks, but rank 18 is full of people playing meme decks like tess rogue.
four times isnt that big of a deal, last time i hit legend in wild, i played 11 times in a row the same opponent
but this doesn't mean wild is dead, maybe you are just playing at bad times, in my case for example, it was about 3am
cool. nice guide btw, will give it a go thx

Lemme just quote taeerom from Reddit:

Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP

But maybe it is just easier to continue to complain that you wacky meme decks fail against real meta decks...

I miss the time when wild was a niche thing. Nowadays, it feels like the dumpster for frustrated standard players. Well, it was fun while it last...
