Blizzard has voiced their concern about "uninteractive" cards.
I just won an arena game by glyphing a Pyroblast for turn 8 and then finishing on turn 10. I needed to do 10 damage to my opponent. The other 66% of his life was dealt with by a spell he could do nothing to prevent or counter. In my opinion, that screams "uninteractive."
Any savvy arena player knows that if you get to turn 10 versus a mage you need to be above 10 health or the game is over. The concept is similar to the long-nerfed Druid combo which had you dead on turn 9 if you had 14 health or less.
I am not saying Pyroblast should be nerfed, nor am I saying it should be banned from constructed play. It is much easier to play around, and therefore much weaker, in other game modes.
So what are your thoughts? Should Pyroblast be banned from arena?
You did well to get your opponent down to 10 health after 7 turns - don't beat yourself up about "lucking" the means to finish them off. Playing as Mage or against Mage I find Pyroblast *sometimes* is the final nail in the coffin but at least as often it's a big mana card in the hand that can't be played or not to any benefit. It's nowhere as flexible or valuble as Fireball for instance.
Only cards that are seriously unbalancing Arena should be removed from it in my view - and Pyroblast is a long long way from doing that.

That is a very good point. Thank you for weighing in.
Yes, definitely, absolutely. This card is complete bullshit. Why should I start with 20 health, as maybe a fucking rogue. Mage has enough smorc and control tools to easily get you to 10 health AND stay alive a la freeze fiesta. Sometimes, there is literally no way to play around pyroblast and you need to dive balls deep and hope your opponent doesn’t have it. Doesn’t help that Mage has a 101 ways to discover it.
Maybe if we had more healing options, then fine. Pyroblast can stay. But right now, the only healing most classes get is shroom brewer and that sure as hell ain’t enough to to cut it.
LOL. You guys act as if it's a common card or something. Even with the discovery possibilities, it's still not very common. I pick mage a lot and RARELY play a pyroblast. As mentioned, it's an AWFUL card to draw early, so it has a pretty huge drawback.
No, it should not, because pyroblast is actually not a good card in arena. Primordial glyph on the other hand is broken in arena, its not even funny. Think about it: that pyroblast probably wouldn't have helped you in another game, at least not if you get it early. That glyph on the other hand is always good, because you get what you need: burn, removal, aoe, card draw... Hearthstone is "uninteractive" here and there, and its right to care about, but arena is board centered anyway. "Uninteractive" decks are a problem for constructed: quest rogue, master oakheart getting out 150 points of stats on turn 4.. thats some "uninteractive" stuff

"Good" is exactly what it is, actually.
OBVIOUSLY it's a good card. But the question you are asking isn't "Is it good", the question you are asking is "Is it so overpowered that it needs to be removed from arena". Not only is the answer a resounding NO (33/40 surveyed disagree with you), but there is a LONG list of cards that should be considered WAAAAAAY before pyroblast should be.
I wish people would stop using uninteractive when trying to make balance decisions about the game. It has become such a buzzword and people VERY frequently misdefine the term in the context of HS.
Pyroblast is only as "uninteractive" as any spell is. Why is Pyroblast anymore uninteractive than Frostbolt, or Fireball, or Hellfire, or Soulfire, or Mind Blast? Are you saying that it is more uninteractive because it does 10 damage and not 3 or 6 damage?
What about cards that don't do damage but are still played straight from hand? Is Mass Dispel also uninteractive then? Does it make a difference when you play it right before an Inner Fire otk? Does it make the spell less interactive if it is used by itself?
How about hero powers, are they uninteractive? Afterall, you can't prevent somebody from getting an upgraded hero power via Baku or Genn.
Pyroblast is fine. It isn't uninteractive because it fits into the category of a finisher or a spell you can't remove, nor is term "uninteractive" itself clear.
I don't think it should be banned. Lets gets Ultimate Infestation banned first. It's way worse. The deal 5 and a 5/5 is almost the deal 10 from Pyroblast. Plus you get the prevent 5 (armor) and draw 5 which is insane.

This.
Also if blizzard "banned" pyroblast you would still be able to glyph into it because of how discover works in arena.
Your poll probably should have been should primordial glyph be banned in arena. If that was the question than yes, yes, yes. Such a stupid card explain to me why it discounts the two Mana.
Something something "slippery slope", maybe? *shrugs* I don't play Arena enough to give a truly weighted opinion, but it plays to that "give a mouse a cookie" adage. People complain about Pyroblast, it gets banned; people move on to the next thing, and it continues. Eventually it will have to come to an end...but some collection of people will never be satisfied regardless of where the "end" falls, you know?
You have the right to your opinion, of course, and the right to speak up about something you believe to be an issue, but it will ultimately come down to whether or not Blizzard deems it so. If Pyroblast becomes enough of a problem to warrant being banned, it will be..."Soon(TM)".
Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3

Hearthstone in a nutshell. A never-ending circle of people wanting everything nerfed.

Why complain about Pyroblast but not the card that let you get it from thin air AND play it on 8?

Short answer: n
Long answer: no
It would be great if you offered some substance to corroborate your opinion.
We dont. We just need better and more ways to heal
its hardly an "uninteractive" card.
You, the mage player, had to do some significant work to get your opponent down to 10 health by turn 10.

It's a fair card, no need for it to be banned. Mind control tech however....
