First off let me say hello, this is by first post here. I have been playing Hearthstone for awhile and I am always looking for way to improve my game. I tend to hover around rank 12-10 each season I could probably climb a little higher but I just don't have to time to try right now. I am looking for some input on the deck I linked above. Below are the concerns I have for a few cards in the deck. Sorry a head of time for the long read and thanks for your time.
Twilight Whelp - I feel like this is a great opening card if I am holding a dragon which most of the time I am, but I have been testing running Zombie Chow instead. Chow gives the same stats with having to rely on the dragon synergy but comes with the healing deathrattle. I am just wondering if anyone else has tried Zombie chow in a dragon deck and if so how have they liked it.
Hungry Dragon - It could just be me or I am just playing it at the wrong time but I feel like this card really doesn't gain me any tempo as a four drop. I could very well be using it wrong. Just wondering how others find this card and if you are liking it how are you working around its battle cry. If you do not like Hungry Dragon what other four drops would you recommend, or would it hurt my curve too much to swap these out with something like belcher.
Velen's Chosen - This is a card that I always seem to be including in every priest deck I make. Not saying its a bad card just wondering if I could cut both of these. Maybe for either another Power Word shield and a three or four drop minion.
Thanks again and I look forward getting to know other Hearthstone players.
I use Twilight Drakes in my dragon priest deck. I had hungry dragons in it but I didn't like dropping them if I didn't have control of the board. I also use the twilight welps but i think in your case I would use the zombie chow because you are also running the auchenai and those two cards have good synergy together and def keep velen's chosen in the deck.
I've been using this deck for a long time and it serves me vey well in the meta. It looks wonky at first, but it's potency surprises me as well. Try it out if you have the dust.
Thanks for the quick replys I will have to try out Twilight Drakes in place of Hungry Dragons. I know that Twilight Drake is a strong card for handlock never even thought about them for this deck.
Glad to hear I am on the right track with Velens, just wanted to make sure I was not showing so much favoritism towards it and trying to force in into my deck.
As for the chows I never thought about using its deathrattle in my favor when paired with Auchenai Soulpriest.

Looks like a lot of fun but I am missing a few of the cards that seem like a must for this deck. Thanks for the link though, I will have to give it a go once I craft two Cabals and Vol'ji
I just wanted to give an update in case anyone was interested. I am now using Zombie chows instead of Twilight Whelps and man what a difference. The deathrattle when Auchenai Soulpriest is on the field really gives it one of the highest values in the deck. It's like a Leper Gnome on steroids.
I also swapped in Twilight Drakes instead of Hungry Dragons. Here I was just behind the times and while I knew something was off with having Hungry Dragons in this deck I didn't know what I should swap it with.
Thanks again for all the great advice, below is an updated link to the deck if anyone wants to give it a shot.
I'm not sure if you have the card but lightbomb would be a good one to include it's a very strong card or even mind control these are both very powerful and game changing cards. Glad the deck is working out for you!
IMO I think the deck looks heavy on the backend and there isn't any taunt...I would drop dragonkin sorcerer and maybe the empror and or a dark cultitst and fit in some taunt
