Scorpyon I main warlock and the mages usually have more cards than I do and at a discount on top of that. Mages definitely need to be addressed

having to essentially buy a completely new set of cards every year by forcing people to HAVE to buy the current EXP and Solo mode to stay competitive.

I don't understand this point.  How is that different to what we've always had?  You've always needed to stay up to date with the most recent sets to be competitive.  (If you don't believe me, try building Secret Paladin without Mysterious Challenger. etc)  That will continue to be true in both Standard and Wild.
Yeah I don't really understand this point either. Look at it like this  by removing the obsolete sets new players wont have the confusion of buying into sets that are no longer going to be used in competitive play and instead can focus on the current stuff. Blizzard has already said that standard mode will be the one used for the championship so this news alone will gravitate a lot of players to use standard mode over wild mode. A new player coming into the game isn't going to care about stuff they missed almost 2 years ago they are going to want to focus on the new cards and for new players standard mode is much better for them than wild.
There are still older cards that are super viable in the current meta.  I guess to me that's a good thing.  I liked the idea that as decks expand, diversity will continue.  My concern is, with having to buy completely new cards, just to remain in standard, the amount of cards will be low, thus making only 3-4 decks that people actually play.  Which to me doesn't seem as fun.

But I digress.  Even letting go of the idea of a huge amount of cards to select from, I just don't like the idea that they're taking them away, completely, from the store.  It makes the future of WILD seem trepidatious, at best, and we've yet to even begin.
In theory I would say you are correct but can you tell that to all the secret pallys i'm facing on the ladder please. Even with this substantial sized card pool I'm still not seeing great diversity. I do think by taking away older sets you will see more creativity I think everyone can admit that dr.boom turn 7 is really getting pretty stale. Those "out of print" cards can still be crafted using dust so if there is something someone really wants it is still attainable . I see a lot of comments about how Blizzard is just out to make money well yes they are it's a business not a charity if they didn't make money off the game it would no longer exist.

posted a message on Make Muster for Battle a classic card

Muster for battle won't be part of standard it's in the gvg set so if you don't want to face it at all then stick to standard.

I would wait until the new expansion is released that will give you a better idea of which sets or adventures to target. Stockpiling gold isn't a bad thing you have went this long holding onto gold what's another couple of months.

posted a message on What Is Wrong With This Deck?

Both summoning stone and flamewakers need spells for their effects to work so this type of a deck is going to have to carry a lot of spells. Forgotten torch could be a good spell gives you another card outside of your deck to use. The other suggestions mentioned here are all solid. I like the concept I'll build it tonight and be able to give you more accurate feedback.

Very impressive resume . It is not easy to show such flexibility with all classes. My problem is I love using 2-3 classes and just keep going back to those classes. I currently only have gold priest and paladin . The golden paladin was achieved in season 2 before it became one of the strongest classes in the game. I wish the golden portrait would say which season gold was achieved.

As someone who has all the seasonable cardbacks so far, I see no harm in it.

To anyone that calls them 'valuable rewards'... all you have to do is hit rank 20 to earn it. Even a potted plant can do that. They're not 'valuable' in the slightest.

This point hits the nail on the head anyone with a pulse can hit rank 20 it's not a great achievement it just shows how long you have been playing. I have been playing since beta and have all the card backs but I never use the season 1 card back so nobody would know how long I have been playing. I could care less what card back my opponent is using.  It would be a straight money grab for blizzard and they would have to do little work to make it so expect to see these for sale at some point.

posted a message on Trump's + Lifecoach's TGT review makes me depressed
    Quote from DiscoBalls jump

    So,

I started the day by watching some of Lifecoach's TGT review.  Essentially, everything is bad except for 2 cards Tuskarr Totemic and Varian Wrynn (possibly Healing Wave as third place.)  He then said there are about 11 acceptable cards total.  So that means 119 cards are crap.

Then Trump later was saying that the new Inspire mechanic is just too slow as are the relevant cards attached to it as well, saying the meta wouldn't really change.  And he crapped on like 7-10 cards that he said were obviously bad and wouldn't see play.  They both agreed that Priest got crapped on in general and agreed that it's the worst class and didn't get any TGT help. (I love Priest)

Anyhow, I'm much more less enthused and excited about TGT now.  I mean, only a handful of cards good/great out of 132?!

They both were excited about GvG in comparison.

I'm depressed a bit.  Can anyone else relate?

Trump also said Dr. Boom was bad and I think everyone in the world knows how wrong he was about that!
