The big move would be crafting Captain Greenskin and going -1 The Black Knight. I currently have just enough dust to craft a legend but i'm still missing staples like Cairne BloodhoofTinkmaster OversparkSylvanas Windrunner and Bloodmage Thalnos. There are also class legendaries i would like to craft like Tirion, Archmage, Velen, and Cenarius but I guess those can wait since I would need to more dust to piece together other cards in a deck.
is it worth the dust to craft the captain?
the "problem" with crafting the captain....is that he only fit well in this Deck....i've never seen him in another so if you *just want to try* it out....i would rather craft more flexible legendary like Bloodmage Thalnos or [card]Sylvanas Windrunner[/card] . If you want to dedicate yourselfe totaly to the Hunter Class....the Captain will be your guy :)
One question about the deck, how much turns do you wait on your 1 durability bow?? Sometimes to me happens that i can't draw a single trap when i need them.
Until lethal unless I'm sure I can finish him next round with spells/hero power and he might play a taunt and unless i get another bow. As you can't recreate your weapon, there's really no need to use it if there's not a high possibility he might create a big taunt wall.
I am fluctuating between rank 8 and 7 right now. Currently 3 stars into 7. I am having issues with druids and their taunts and giant locks. Seeming to run into a lot of them. Any suggestions? Thanks
I don't have leeroy or manipulator, so playing without them so far. I have King Krush but it doesn't seem to fit. Not sold on stealth minions yet but I'm gonna try them out.

hey shufailo :) You are welcome! I'm always happy if this deck could help someone reach better a Rank ^^
How is Snipe performing? Are you happy about it? I guess you could take out a Flare and add a Stranglethorn Tiger maybe?
I had the luck to find Captain Greenskin in a pack yesterday and I am running this deck so far.. It's great, I like it. Did you think about adding the captain's parrot? I might craft it soonish to replace the 1 mana boar, it can provide some good value in summoning the captain for 2 mana!
we already discussed this question ;) Here the reminder:
1. If you take mulligan and draw Captain Greenskin....the Parrot would be veeeeery useless. 2. You HAVE to play him in Round 2 or you risk to draw the captain anyway 3. If you dont have the Bow....both cards are not so cool to play anymore and rot on your hand. 4. Acidic Swamp Ooze becomes even more dangerous ^^''
Hello guys, I don't know if the question has already been aswered, but what would you change instead of a Captain Greenskin ? Unfortunately I don't own one.

Druid taunts are probably the hardest counter to hunter rush in the game. Giant warlock is easier. Your goal is to get them to ~ 15 HP by turn 5-6, and then make sure you save an owl to silence a big taunt minion. They'll usually get one giant out on turn 5 or 6. You don't want to take them down below like 14 HP because Molten Giant. In any case, The turn after you get them to 15 HP, if you can bring them down to 5 HP, you do it, otherwise you clear their board and pass on the face. The next turn you take them down as low as possible, then finish them off on the last turn (with say a kill command)
Basically you get them to ~15, take them as close to 0 as possible, and finish them off with a spell that can fly over taunt minions. Arcane shot, kill command, and your hero power are the heroes of that game.
What do you guys think of adding another silence card to the deck, in my case, instead of Captain Greenskin since I don't have it. My feeling is that another Ironbeak Owl would be very useful against taunt-heavy decks and card-draw decks aswell?
If you have one, The Black Knight worked well in place of the captain before I decided to craft it. Helped a lot against those big druid taunts. Favorite target to use it on: Sunwalker
I use a slight variation of this deck and I must say I do enjoy the playstyle of this deck a lot more than generic rush. Gj on legendary.
I run a captains parrot for the extra draw chance on the legendary.
what is your expirence with the parrot? :)
Funnily enough he has been an excellent drop. He only really works in the Hunter deck, due to him being a beast. I have won games by dropping him then using kill command. That, coupled with him always giving you the captain as he is your only pirate card in deck It's an excellent addition. Also works with buzzards card draw and beast buffs etc. So he is a great addition to this deck.
probably I won't be playing much in the new season due to time issues, although trying to help as much as possible to help other guys mastering Legend with this deck:

The Black Knight IS definitely an option. He was in the deck in the really beginning. Also another Ironbeak Owl could work. You always have to keep in mind, that the meta can shift quite fast and if heavy Taunt decks come back, minor adjustements might be needed.
A side note on Nat Pagle: Sometimes i just ignored him. Because your opponent can have as many cards as he wants if he can't play them before he's dead...

Great! Still: Haven't you faced lots of situations, where you got the Captain first and felt the Parrot being a quite bad card then?

As I said, he has other uses. If anything I consider him a 2 mana card draw, or 7 mana 5 damage kill command. If I have him in my hand along with captain he is not wasted. Generally the deck doesn't have to drop many minions. I find myself controlling most of the time and keeping my hand relatively full of cards so if I do have parrot it's the case of saving him until have more mana for combos. There are yes, few situations where you don't really want him. I've mulliganed into him before and obviously the captain isn't anywhere near as valuable if you don't have your weapon equipped. But the main idea is you can keep hold of these cards to use as you have so many other options. If i get a turn 1 parrot I'll just save him until i need captain. If i have captain and parrot i'll save parrot for combos, if i have captain and no weapon i can wait until i have a weapon equipped or if i desperately need a minion he's there to use. The beauty of the cards is that they have many applications.
Again, main plus sides are parrot is a beast so works with other beast buffs, and is also another card draw for the captain, effectively doubling the chance you will pull him in a game. I think that gives enough benefit to run the card. Think, there are other cards which do not fill as many roles as this card does which makes it a great addition.

Sounds good. If you followed the thread from the beginning, you can see, that I proposed him myself quite early but we didn't really test him yet. So maybe I should absolutely do now if you have good results ;-)
Just wanted to say that I had been interested in trying a hunter and I came across this deck. I liked the look at feel of it much better than the rush deck I keep seeing around. I went from rank 20-12 in the last couple days. I don't play very much. I think it is a great deck. i didn't have snake trap so I threw in a snipe trap, which has actually worked pretty well. Anyhow, i am thinking of making the snake trap and trying that out unless you have another idea on what to use. I know you said it is a love/hate relationship lol. Anyhow, thanks for the share.
I think the problem with Snake Trap is that a) your opponent will expect every other trap first and try to trigger said trap and b) once it doesn't trigger they will know it's a Snake Trap and simply play around it. I think that's why OP mentioned that it's a love hate relationship. I made a similar Hunter deck though this seems much more well thought out and put together.
Hogger is a god awful card. There was a point where he was used a lot and people didn't know how to counter him... but as he stands, he's probably the worst legendary in the game ... gladiators longbow is AMAZING, especially if you can Captain Greenskin it... it's basically like a gorehowl on crack.
As far as being stuck, I think the beginning of the season is when you find most of the better players ranking up together, so it will continue to be relatively tough for some time.
Totally agree. I would rather wait with Captain Greenskin.

nm. I seen senti's post to aquablad about druids on the previous page. good info. thanks.
I wanted to thank Tobi for this amazing deck!! It's so much fun to play and it brought me to rank 4 today after being stuck at 9 with priest
Anyway here is my list, critique and suggestions are welcome

To OP: Consider running Hunter's Mark in conjunction with Wild Pyromancer for super value.

I'm having pretty good success with a variant of this with the stranglethorn tigers and houndmasters. Makes a very clean turn 5 and turn 6
Not sure if hyped yet.
currently i'm waiting for the final release.
I dont want to spend time on Season 4.
The Race will begin again when the first real Season starts! :D
Looking forward to!
