I bet my mother on that. They're clearly pushing BIG control Hunter this time (a 7 mana removal spell?? really?) and what does it desperately need? LIFESTEAL! It would be the perfect opportunity to implement this missing tool in hunter's kit (maybe with Deathrattle: draw cards lol).
None of WoW Legion's hunter artifacts fit this theme though. Could be a new weapon, maybe a spear to diversify a bit (and pay hommage to the new melee hunter spec...)
In all seriousness though, I wish this were the case but I don't see it happening. It just doesn't fit the themes they've got going on from a flavour perspective. That said, they could do what they did to Mage with it's Death Knight some time in the future - a persistent effect that gives healing. They were able to do that because it was an entirely different flavour for the new character.
I don't think they will give hunter a lifesteal weapon, and i don't think it will help control hunter be viable.
What hunter need is a GOOD lifesteal beast that is not too expensive, Bloodworm is just not good enough, and as neutral it can't be too good, so it has to be a hunter only minion.
If it will cost less than 5 mana it will also make DK Rexxar twice more likely to get a lifesteal minion - definitely could help in long games.
I hope we will get a low cost weapon with board controling affect, but we will probably get some high mana meme weapon like most of the weapons revealed so far :>
OK, that's not exactly lifesteal, but still a weapon that if there is a taunt you have to damage yourself in order to heal you. So, not so pointelss, IMO.

I agree, if they want to make control hunter viable they'd be better off buffing DK Rexxar by introducing a 1-2 mana lifesteal beast or, if that's too good, have a 4-5 lifesteal beast that also does something when you play it (like the [/card] Dispatch Kodo [card] effect). Of course the downside to having a small or overprized minion that's only good with DK Rexxar's ability is that people will whine about it being a collectable card, since it won't see play on its own.

I hope no. It is pointless the hunter with lifesteal, it is pointless lifesteal in only one card, and it is pointless lifesteal in a weapon (because if there is a taunt you have to damage yourself in order to heal you.)
Yes, you could argue that it does not fit the theme of the class, but the way they are pushing big minions in Hunter, they will need something to stablize vs rush decks, similar to how Bloodreaver Gul'dan and Frost Lich Jaina bring heals to classes which do not have enough of it already.
The whole point of this thread was that hunter does not have a lifesteal weapon yet. As mentioned, having few or even one lifesteal minion in a class or deck is perfectly normal. His point was that Truesilver Champion is a good, often used weapon which heals.
But, as mentioned by others, I think a lifesteal beast is more probable, as lifesteal weapons fit the flavour of other classes better. Maybe something like a "give your beasts lifesteal" mechanic would work as well.
It would be the perfect timing for the inevitable long-awaited legendary spirit beast with Lifesteal! Hunter has a lot of them cool ones in WOW. The weapon could summon Moquenathal or Arcturis as a battlecry, or even better: TITANSTRIKE SUMMONING HATI !!

- lifesteal in only one card.
- hunter with lifesteal
- lifesteal in a weapon
Ehrm... ofc I did read all of your message, why would you assume otherwise? If there's been a misunderstanding, it might be my fault but also yours, for not being clear enough.
As I see it, you made three separated statements (even if related to the same topic). As such, it seemed they could be discussed separately. I didn't argue with your first two but had something to say about the third. Were we to understand you meant them as a single whole block? But then in your reply you make a bullet point of each, so again they appear as distinct and independent from each other.
Anyway, about "hunter with lifesteal", I won't take a side about that but as you can see there are people here who think differently. You're entitled to your own opinion ofc, but apparently they see a point in that.
The "lifesteal in only one card" bit is the less clear of them all, IMHO. Maybe you meant if Blizz wants to give Hunter lifesteal, they should provide Rexxar with more than one lifesteal card? In this case, the reveal stream is still young, we can't rule out more cards of this type appearing in the future. Or did you mean you envision some lifesteal mechanic which requires more than one card to work? Don't recall anything of that sort so far, and looks like it would be quite cumbersome to play. Or... perhaps you meant something else?
EDIT: I see you added "Truesilver Champion are 2 cards and it is not an hunter weapon". Well, sure it's not a hunter weapon, but what does that imply? It was just an example of a weapon with a lifesteal-y effect, could have made others like SlydE did. And by 2 cards (or 1 card) I now take it you're meaning runnable copies? Then, sorry but again I fail to see how that's meaningful to this discussion.

I don't really think it is a lifesteal weapon, basically because, as you said, there is no hunter weapon that fits wth lifesteal.
That said, hunter needs early game AoE (Deathstalker Rexxar is fine, but comes on turn 5-6 at best and is legendary), and a heal mechanic if he wants to step out the aggro/midrange zone. Wandering Monster is something similar, because it is a sort of 2 mana 3-Cost minion + taunt, but only for face, wich makes it not-really-desirable for typical hunters.
Crushing Walls helps as well, but something like Dreadscale and maybe a minion that heals with deathrattle could work (or maybe a 'Bonefire' spell that heals and draws, like a Lay on Hands small cousin or something).
I don't see my faults man. You reported me for trolling because you don't read the previous comment. (by the way there was no trolling). So please read the comments before answer. Now is it my fault if you don't read?
LOL, mate.
First of all, I didn't report you. Ask a moderator if you don't believe me.
Secondly, I repeat here what I said already: I do read, even multiple times if necessary. But if what is written is unclear or ambiguous, there's still room for uncertainty. For communication to happen properly, both the reader and the writer need to make an effort. You're sure you did your part the best you could? ;)
Anyway, guess this has been discussed more than enough. Fare well.
Name of hunter weapon is Thas'dorah. 100% sure about that
I think it could be Titan Fury (or whatever the Beast Mastery artifact's name were, I don't know it in english).
I mean, we already raided a tomb to get it in Legion. But Thas'dorah is also a solid choice (or maybe that hunter legendary bow from the Sunwell, who knows)
The weapon will absolutely be a good early-game control card, but I don't see it giving the Hunter healing.
Just not really a hunter theme. It'll be beast-related (as in summoning a beast of some sort -- every time you attack summon a taunt beast?), secret-related or something along those lines.

No because deathstlaker rexxars effect would give you lifesteal for the battlecry AOE. So it could be pretty insane if they dont fix that
yooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I think it will go something like "At the start of your turns, play a random secret" or discover a beast and summon it.

Frost Lich Jaina is the only mage card giving lifesteal in mage, and Blood-Queen Lana'thel is the only one in standard for warlock. This is wrong.

We have this already, both Grave Vengeance from Uther of the Ebon Blade and Leeching Poison combine weapons and lifesteal. You are wrong.
