Ok, so ever since I started playing this game years ago, I never ever enjoyed aggro decks. I believe they are used by people that only think about reaching Legend and then to brag about it to their 12 year old friends. It's just a disgusting style of play that absolutely kills the fun of a card game like Hearthstone.
When they decided to implement this new class in the game, I saw the annoucement and they said DH is a class that it's identity is attacking relentless, every turn, aggresive play style. Ok, I get that, you decide to implement a new hyper aggro class to a game that was already dominated by aggro style. But how can you still talk shit about class identity, start robbing the other classes of some of their main tools just because they are not compatible with that class's identity and then creat DH that literally has ALL THE FUCKING IDENTITIES OF THE OTHER CLASSES ?!?!?
I mean, ok, bash me with 15 attack in the face on Turn 5 but WTF C'MON, I expect after you do that you don't have any more answers to my moves. Maybe I could heal or play a Taunt to try and survive but for fuck's sake, then you start drawing 10 mil cards with 4 mana. And then you heal for 11 in the same time that you damage me for 11 more. But wait, you can also clear my entire board that I did and I think that I can hide behind a massive taunt, don't worry, he can bypass that too.
I'm not someone that plays every day for hours and hours grinding for Legend. Matter of fact, I don't even care about legend rank. I just want to have some fun while reaching Rank 5 Diamond. That's my goal every season since I do not have time to play. But in the last few days of this expansion, I had some time off so I decided to try a multitude of decks (Control, Tempo, Combo). I have played with all the classes (except DH and Hunter) and I have tried at least a dozen different decks. ALL of them are stomped by DH, just because the class has answer to absolutely everything I can throw on the board.
Having AoE, Lifesteal, Card Draw, ability to give yourself charge with at least 6 attack every Turn and now, a 2 6/6 with rush for 2 mana...it's just too much to handle.
What I'm trying to say is that this class was a mistake from the very beggining. It's poorly designed and anti-fun. They nerfed it so many times, even more than poor Quest Rogue back in the days but the class is still the most OP in the game. If they would at least take the card draw or lifesteal away from the class, since it's not compatible with it's identity, maybe we could counter it somehow but at this point, DH is the bane of the entire game.

I play this game just so I can donate money to indie Blizzard.
Im sad to say this , but if you havent noticed the game has gotten incredible easy. Its not about skills or how good you are.
Look at the cards they add, they even make the decks for us. If you add 1 card you need to add the other cards that work with that card.
They even gave us end card games , dont even need to think about how you gonna kill your opponent anymore. You can draw card like a maniac, the game is fast speed now even if you play "slow decks".
OP, I 100% agree with you. Demon Hunter has no identity other than winning. It gets this identity by having all of the advantages other classes have, with none of the drawbacks. It’s kind of crazy to me that it has gone through so many rounds of nerfs and is still tier 1. What bugs me now is that I feel like DH doesn’t even play minions, it just powers up a weapon and hits face until you die.
The class needs a rework for sure. I feel aggro AND card draw should never go together. While I hate face hunter as much as the next guy, it has always felt possible to beat due to it easily running out of steam. DH is a steam engine with more aggro than hunter and more tempo than rogue.
I would love to see Marrowslicer and Lapidary get hit with the nerf bat, and also maybe make Kayn deal 28 damage to your own face whenever it attacks.
But Illidan is such a badass dude! All the developers were absolutely shitting themselves out of pure excitement when they got to make their own card for their favorite WC3 hero!
"Who wants to make a boring mediocre basic card?" Ben asked.
-The room was silent, for they all wanted to make the sickest, most badass card for the most badass guy in the game.
"OK... then who wants to playtest against this new class?" Ben asked.
-Still the room was quiet, for nobody wanted to play wuzz-ass Malfurion, now that they could be the even more ripped and mentally complex Illidan, sex god of dweebs.
"Well... I guess we should just release what we have and see where it goes" Ben said.
And so it came to pass, that a new hero would take the scene and everyone forgot that Patches the pirate and Caverns below had ever been even the slightest nuisance.
I liked the idea of making demon hunter for the concept of giving new or returning players a class with all the cards they could play and not be so fare behind everyone els who have playede for a long time, but yes they simply over tuned demon hunter massively with both midrange and aggro...
Hopefully when they rotate out their initiate set they will start working on giving them a real identity and some weaknesses. I do think the current soul shard cards also really help them, maybe things will be different when that rotates as well.
You can complain, or you can draw up a deck to beat it. It's that simple. There is no way that you can't simply put together a deck that it's only purpose is to stomp on DH. There are plenty of cards to choose from and in a few months there will be plenty more.
I feel the same way you do about nerfing it to the ground. And it will happen. Just have fun trying to beat it while it lasts.
Like you said. Who cares about Legend. Play to beat the deck to hate and have fun doing it.
either you complain about demon hunter or you pay big bank trying different decks in order to find something that counters it, or you dont pay and you get fkt by demon hunter while you complain about demon hunter
In brief, a scrub is someone who handicaps himself in a game because he believes that some strategies are “cheap” and thus it’s beneath his dignity to employ them. The scrub denies himself the use of the strategy, and becomes frustrated when he sees others succeed by it.
The OP is taking precisely this attitude toward aggro decks and speaks pejoratively of those who play them. In an aggro meta, this is self-defeating.
You may not enjoy playing aggro, you might not like the game when it’s dominated by aggro decks, and in that situation maybe you should simply play something else. I’m not going to tell you that you have to play aggro and like it. But don’t put down other players simply because they’re exploiting a successful strategy.
If you’re serious about competing, yes, it is about efficiency and effectiveness. If you’re not serious, if you’re just fooling around that’s fine, just don’t expect everyone else to do the same.
Ironically, Day 9 did a great presentation on Play to Win while he was still making Starcraft content.
Unfortunately, this forum is infested in equal parts with scrubs and faux pros. I don't know which one is more annoying.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.

Don't you see the glaringly obvious problem with what you said though? In order to have a playable deck I have to explicitly build it to counter a single class out of the 10 possible there are. That's obviously ridiculous and a flaw in the game that needs immediate correction.
I’ve seen it mentioned elsewhere before, but it’s worth bringing up here:
Hearthstone at its inception was a computer game that could be played in mobile, and today a larger number of players are strictly mobile. Mobile gaming, by design, lends itself to being able to pick it up and put it down quickly. Demon Hunter is a perfect addition for the developers in that regard, it’s a class that can finish a match in under five minutes and deliver wins.

As far as i’m concerned, scrubs are people who are too bad to construct their own deck, so they take to the internet to find someone to do that job for them. They find a deck that my dog could pilot with the highest win rate aka DH, and craft the deck and start oppressing ladder so they can feel accomplished about themselves. A good player can construct their own deck to win and have fun. If you play DH youre a scrub sorry homie.
Imagine playing DH or wild rez priest and thinking youre not a scrub. You look like a nurse in those scrubs bro

Only a literal retard could formulate such a stupid stance. Literally all you said was "fall in line or gtfo" which is anti-consumer corporate propaganda bullshit.

There’s a great essay on “the scrub mentality” that the op ought to read: https://sirlin.squarespace.com/ptw-book/introducingthe-scrub

yes people who don't pay cheap forced strategies are scrubs, real mvps picks efficentcy over everything that is what games are about efficentcy
