Mulligan Guide: Rend Blackhand has a tendency to get out of control very quickly. If you don't draw something you can cast early, then you will probably be overwhelmed by his minions in a couple of turns. He is able to put out three 2/2 minions on his first turn where most opponents couldn't do the same until at least turn five. It's awesome if you can start off with an Explosive Sheep, especially when his AI normally activates his special ability and THEN runs a minion into it to blow it up.
This fight is another serious challenge that relies a lot on RNG to be in your favor. Your goal is to get a minion buffed up to a huge amount and kill him in a turn or two. The best targets for this are Lightwell and Deathlord. I've found that if you cast the Lightwell on your second turn he will often times ignore it, opting to smash you in the face instead. He will usually continue to ignore it until it becomes a threat. If you're able to buff it up on turn 3-4, then you might have a chance to take advantage of his poor decision-making AI.
You should be very cautious of playing a Deathlord on turn three, because he can nearly always kill it. It's best to hold on to him until you can buff it up enough to be able to survive for at least a turn. If you're able to wipe the board on turn five with Holy Nova, then you have a good chance of turning things around with a buffed up minion on your next turn by creating an unbreakable (or at least very big) wall.
I've seen Rend's AI do some really strange things, like playing Rampage on a minion after it has already attacked for the turn or casting it on one of MY minions. You'll be thankful for any mistakes that he makes because this is one tricky fight!
There is no replacement for Lightbomb if you don't have it, but you might be able to sub in an Abomination. If you'd rather try a different style of deck, then please check out one of the other successful decks below.

I love your guides man! Even if I am missing cards (I don't have the light bombs) from your deck you also list alternative decks! It's great :-) I tried the hunter deck of the deck notes and that worked very well.
Thank you for this deck! This one took me four or five tries to get the hang of it, but then I got him. :D
He was a bit trickier for me than some of the other bosses for some reason, but thanks to your video and guide, he is dead!
I found sometimes if I played Lightwell on turn two that his minions would kill it. Same for playing Northshire Cleric on turn one. Explosive Sheep was awesome on turn 2 as you said, great board clear!
