Really questioning the Theotar, the Mad Duke inclusion right now. Why swap cards when our cards are just better? Might remove it soon for another card.
Replaced with Astalor Bloodsworn. Great card for smoothing out curves on awkward turns!
This deck is able to outvalue just about every deck in the game and push for a win using huge board swings such as N'Zoth, the Corruptor, Dragonqueen Alexstrasza just to name a couple.
Brann Bronzebeard combo'd on the same turn as Alexandros Mograine or Patchwerk can singlehandedly win games.
It is equipped with lots of removal and survivability in cards such as Armor Vendor, Blood Boil, Corpse Explosion just to name a few, in order to get to the game stages where we shine.
Testing of this deck is all done in mid-high legend. In lower ranks, it should have a much easier time surviving to that stage where you drop huge legendary minions one after the other and auto-win the game.
Updated the deck to account for draw issues. More updates later.
Loving this deck…. But sooo many Jade Druids. I’ve subbed Loatheb for Skulking Geist and seems to make a difference. What is your opinion?
I only faced one so far. Stole a copy of Jade Idol with Theotar to not fatigue, while 3 Alexandros triggers were slowly melting 9 per turn.
Now that denathrius is nerfed, what would you recommend as a replacement for him?
Honestly, I'm leaving him in for the time being because he's still a valuable life generator. He's no longer the game ender he was, but he still can get big since this deck has an enormous amount of tokens. If you don't personally like him, probably throw in a Astalor Bloodsworn, which I will be adding to my deck shortly. He smooths out curves on awkward turns a lot.
Powerful and fun deck with all the tools. Steamrolled Token Druid, Secret Mage, Pirate Rogue, and Discard Warlock multiple times. Made it from Diamond 9 to Legend on 26 wins and no more than 5 losses.
After a few games of Varian sitting in hand way too long, I replaced him with Astalor.
Glad it worked out for you! Astalor has been a card I have been looking at lately, will probably include him after I update my deck. Thank you!
No, thank you! I had only been playing Druid because I love super greedy decks. Patchwerk is so brutal and if you can get Brann down with him, GG.
Great deck, tyvm
No worries, glad you enjoyed :)
Just wanted to say thanks again. Im about to make this list all Golden so pretty excited :D
Damn, that is some commitment xD Appreciate it, this decklist is very subject to change, though most of the core cards should be the same. I do want to end up having a full golden version of it too at the end ^_^
So cool to see Kel'thuzad and Sludge Belcher be relevant again! (after all these years) I look forward to seeing how you evolve this decklist!
Yes!! Deathlord, sludge belcher, KTZ, the whole naxx family is back. Actually one of my favourite packages of all time!
Why kel’thusad instead of Vectus
If he gets a turn protected by taunts, he can become unkillable and singlehandedly win the game
The deathrattles are meh for vectus since he himself doesn't make any taunts. The taunt spawns are delayed 1 turn.
I'm experimenting with Vectus now (replaced Sir Finley). After about 10 games, I haven't been able to get 2 deathrattles down for him, but will keep trying for a bit.
edit: I gave up on him after another 10 or so games. There's so many more impactful cards.
