My latest version of a Curse Warlock deck I am running. I started off with 56% with 15-12 . Playing around rank 7 diamond, starting at 10. The current stats are 37-34.
Update: I have replaced some cards. I subbed in Runed Mithril Rod and 2x Entitled Customer instead of Neeru Fireblade, 1x Altar of Fire and 1x Soul Rend.
To maximize the amount of curses these are the combo's you want to be looking for:
- Brann Bronzebeard +Sira'kess Cultist (2x) = 1-2 extra curses.
- Brann Bronzebeard + Sira'kess Cultist (2x) + Za'qul = 1-3 extra curses (depends on Runed Mithril Rod discount).
- Zola the Gorgon + Brann Bronzebeard or Sira'kess Cultist/Za'qul depending on your needs. I found it more helpful to have 2x extra brann in hand vs. control match-ups.
- Tamsin Roame + Dragged Below or Abyssal Wave = 1-2x extra curses.
- Tamsin Roame + Dragged Below + Ring of Tides from Queen Azshara = 2 extra curses (1 mana Dragged Below + another 0 mana).
In a perfect game you can max out on about 13-14 curses. Effectively dealing a total of minimal 91-105 damage.
Realistically, pulling off 8 curses you can already hit 36-40 damage. Given the fact that most people ignore the first 1-2 curses.
A mulligan / vs guide will follow if I find the time for it. The main struggle of the deck is Questline hunter, because your curses trigger their quest. In my 54 games I faced 5 hunters, lost 4 matches. The only way I could win was to out-heal them. Relying heavily on Blood Shard Bristleback.
Hope you have fun with the deck as well.

If we optimize the curses we can get to 12-13 curses. Shouldn't that be enough to beat high armor warriors/druids? Do we need any late game Neeru/Kazakusan? I assume 78-91 + creatures is plenty.
Warriors are easy with just the curses, druids I struggled a bit against so I put in 2x Entitled Customer for their 4x Naga Giant and Miracle Growth turns.
If you play the courses correctly you won't need kazakusan or any late game finisher. I managed to kill a warrior that had 30 lives + 36 armor within 3 turns. The key for those matchups is a mitrhil rod and the queen. If you can manage to get the effect from the queen twice she will give you 4 more curses because the 1 mana spell from the queen can be doubled with tamsin. This way you can get way more curses.
Yesterday I also removed Neeru Fireblade for Runed Mithril Rod along with some minor swaps like 2x Entitled Customer, which really helps me versus druid at the moment. Versus control you can still win if you manage to pull off as many curses as possible. Another thing is to wait for them to fill up to 8/9 cards in hand and start milling them.
I will update the deck text here a bit. Thanks for your feedback.
Had fun trying this one out so far! Curious to see where it goes (and if Neeru is worth the craft!).
Glad to hear, definitely do not craft Neeru for this deck. It's not a staple at all, more an experiment for control match-ups. Currently I am exploring to replace him by one Runed Mithril Rod. The results are promising because for control match-ups you can pop off Brann way better.
Glad to see neeru fireblade again. I played about 300 games with him, before Demon Seed was popular. But now I must ask, how is neeru better than Kazakusan or Demon Seed? Have you tested them?
Thank you for your question. I have not tested a variant with Kazakusan yet. In control match-ups I reckon Kazakusan outvalues Neeru. But for the decks I am mostly facing, I would lose a lot of tempo trying to set-up Kazakusan. For me Neeru feels like an easier set-up because I am relying on Soul Rend a lot.
If I were to put in Kazakusan I think I'd cut the following cards; -1x Altar of Fire, -1x Neeru Fireblade, -2x Goldshire Gnoll.
I am currently seeing if I can make it to diamond 5 first, then I'll probably test out the Kazakusan version. The Amalgam of the Deep addition could give you more Sira'kess Cultist's for example.
