Update 12.08.2018: This deck can be currently found on HSReplay.
If you feel like you can pilot Control decks, let me introduce you to my Boomsday take on Control Warrior!
I tried few decks already but this so far performed really well. It looks like while pure Mech Warrior is not powerfull in Wild. The Control Warrior which uses Dr. Boom, Mad Genius however. was slaying ladder for me. So far I have 24-7 with this deck and it really feels like Warrior is doing something powerfull.
Mulligan
Aggro: Mountainfire Armor, Weapons Project, Warpath, Blood Razor. If you feel confident enough Mossy Horror for mid-game turn 6
Midrange: Execute,Shield Block, Mountainfire Armor, Weapons Project, Warpath, Blood Razor, Brawl
Combo and Control: Dirty Rat, Shield Block,Brawl, Shieldslam or Execute. Coldlight Oracle, Dr. Boom, Mad Genius
The list below features the most imnportant cards in the deck which make this deck rewarding to play and interesting to play:
Weapons Project : This is a solid card for Control Warrior for controlling the board early. Also it is pretty good weapon removal for Skull,Aluneth and Kingsbane
Dead Man's Hand This card allows you to go infinite. And it is pretty good wincondition against Rogues that are trying to do the same)
Skulking Geist Don't want Jade Druid to go infinite? Do you hate when Inner Fire buffs fat Priest minion and hurts your face? Do you really hate those Deadly Poisons from Kingsbane Rogue? Skulking Geist is amazing solution! Now only for 400 dust!
Mossy Horror: Nothing to say. Tech card against small minions and Spreading Plague
Dirty Rat: Don't you hate when opponent tries to do some op combo? I mean who doesn't right? Well Dirty Rat can solve that problem and pull important combo piece or strong wincondition.
Dr. Boom, Mad Genius: Nothing to say. Warrior finally got late game focused Hero card and its amazing.
N'Zoth, the Corruptor: I think it's pretty obvious that your opponents is gonna loose when you swarm your board with endless N'Zoths. ;)
Flexible cards:
Coldlight Oracle can be easily replaced by the Acolyte of Pain. It all depends on the local meta that you are facing. Are you facing more Aggro,Tempo and Midrange decks? Then Acolyte is definitelly better. Are you facing Mill,Combo and Control decks? Then Coldlight is better.
What about Rotten Applebaum , imo its a strong synergy card for N'Zoth did you tried it?
And if not , what would you replace?
Looks real fun though i will try , my golden harbinger celestia has to die i guess for boom ;)
Applebaum is not so strong in the deck due to the fact that Belcher when coming with NZoth provides another taunt to go trough while Applebaum not.
Also there is enough health/armor gain already. You might want to wait on crafting Boom. While I agree it is really good card overall as any hero card, there are other amazing legendaries like ZIlliax. But I guess if you want to play Warrior then go for it :D
Is Emperor Thaurissan worth a tick? For reducing N´Zoths and DMH cost. It would guarantee that you can play DMH and N´Zoth in one turn.
Interesting choice) You can try him instead of Mossy Horror if you want
never mind, the shuffled copies do not have the reduced costs. Blizzard consistency FailFish
Bro this deck does wonders for me . Thanks alot . Dirty rat is the mvp here.
Thank you for the feedback man! :D
Your welcome . But i have replaced some cards Like mountain fire with Piloted reaper, And made it more greedier with Sneed's And the lich king, actually Battle rage not needed at all .
Isnt piloted reaper retarded version of Shredder with anti synergy in the deck due to Dirty Rat being a 2 drop? And battle rage is needed for more card draw especially in late game after you played DMH. But if it works for you,it works :D
What is the plan to beat Kingsbane Rogues?
Easy Man , First Dirty rat there Cavern shiny finder or Coldlight , Then try to push face damage as much as u can with deathrattles and mechs .
I personally play version with Coldlights so my plan is going infinite while Milling him and playing multiple N'Zoths. If you run Acolyte version, then try to bait Shinyfinders or Coldlights with it and then go infinite with N'Zoths. Rogue have limited amount of removal so around 3rd N'Zoth board she won't be able to destroy it.
Warpath,Rat,Mountainfire,Weapons Project are all pretty good anti aggro cards for clearing, trading or protecting your face first couple turns. Acolytes might have soft taunt sometines cause your opponent don't want to let you draw a lot of cards. In the mid game Sludge Belchers,Brawl and Mossy Horror are coming into play and in late game it is Dr.Boom and N'Zoth. This deck definitelly have chances against aggro with all that removal, armor and overall good minions.
I went from rank 23 to 12, and still climbing, its all about adpating, i've had to make many changes depending on what i was facing, like taking out dirty rats for more reliables 3 drop taunts against aggros at low tiers, or getting rid of 1 blood razor for a cornered sentry to mess up Big priests or Taunt druids further high the ladder... its all about adapting the deck to YOUR own style whenever it needs be, the basic of it is solid, you just gotta make a few changes every now and then to counter whatever currrent meta you are facing.
Let's say I have 1 Dirty Rat...any suggestions?
Well...xD You can either craft it since you will need it in any Control deck that is not reno OR you can replace it with worse Rat=Deathlord OR you can add instead some card that you feel might improve your other matchups (Doomsayer or Giggling Inventor etc) OR you can replace Acolytes with Colglights and second Rat with another card and try to mill your combo/control opponent. I woul really recommend crafting it but if you don't want to or don't have dust to do so, try some of the suggested options.
That was fast--thanks!
Truth is I have zero Dirty Rats and 400 vs. 800 dust is a big difference for me....but, it's probably about time to craft the one at least, if not both.
Thanks again, this deck looks very much up-my-alley.
Wild nowadays is that either you Ratting Combo decks or you loose. Your dust spent on these boys is safe in a long run. Good luck with trying out the deck on ladder)
If you expect this deck to be easy to pilot, then don't. This deck is hard to pilot. I explained some people how to pilot it and even few of them added me just to spectate me. You need to manage your resources well. You have to work with your resources right and you need to plan ahead. In an experienced Control player hands especilly old Control Warrior mains this deck can do miracles. This deck can beat any archetype or subarchetype but it needs a good piloting skills and knowledge off what are you doing.
Thank you).
