No offense, but CrysisLink's deck is built much better. Professor Putricide is not in any way worth the deck slot when your main win condition relies heavily on utilizing Rhok'delar and To My Side!. For some reason you didn't even include the latter in the deck.. which I have no idea why. You also need Tracking in the deck. It's essential for this kind of a deck because you don't have any minions which means you absolutely need to search for specific answers.
I agree as well that Flanking Strike is an absolute must because it does exactly what the deck is supposed to try to do: control the board without any minions in the deck. Not only are you summoning a 3/3, which isn't even that bad, but you're also potentially killing off one of your opponent's minions. You also missed Call of the Wild which is very valuable, I mean it doesn't only summon three minions but you know exactly which ones you're getting and they synergize extremely well with hunter spells (which is what this deck is filled of) because they are all beasts.
I don't think this kind of archetype is viable but I did forget about Deathstalker Rexxar. I can definitely see this working, but it just doesn't have all the tools it needs yet. In wild, on the other hand, you have Lock and Load, so who knows what kind of magic could happen there.
Hunter has been stuck in this weird limbo between tier 2 and tier 3 decks for a long time, specifically post nerf of undertaker. Midrange hunter has been the only viable hunter deck on ladder since beta with few variations popping up, for example, the deathrattle package with Play Dead and the likes. I genuinely dont think the deck I made is either better than the current hunter deck nor other popular constructed decks in standard but I love experimenting with hunter because they are so solidly cemented into a single archetype that different decks feel special. For this Spell Hunter deck at least, as TasteMySteel said, To My Side and Call of the Wild are core to the deck. Though the deck has no minions, the win condition is still hitting face with summoned minions through either, To My Side, Call of the Wild, Lesser Emerald Spellstone, Deathstalker Rexxar and Traps that summon minions.
The addition of Professor Putricide in a deck that has cards that rely on not having minions is like running duplicates in a Reno Jackson deck. It was experimented with but found to be worse off. Without the non-minion cards like the weapon, there is no reason to play the deck. Just play Midrange Hunter or other tempo decks.
Literally Twitch Chat when this got revealed:
This kind of deck seems fun but never wil be really god
I can't wait for the hunter cards in the next 3 expansions try to push this shit deck type.
TEAM 5 HEADQUARTERS
"Guys, we gotta add some LEGENDARY weapons!"
"What about their stats to mana ratio?"
"Garbage, just garbage!"
"So... will they have awesome effects?"
"LET'S MAKE A LIST:
"What about Hunter?"
"I saved the best to last, ok. NOW LISTEN CLOSELY! Here's a little lesson in trickery! Sorry I couldn't hold my memes with this one. Here it goes:
7-MANA 4/2. HAS A MEDIOCRE EFFECT. THE GODDAMN EFFECT IS ATTACHED TO A CONDITION THAT GOES AGAINST EVERYTHING IN HUNTER'S IDENDITY AND PLAYABILITY! NO FREAKING MINIONS IN THEIR DECK, NOT A SINGLE ONE!"
Mediocre effect? Are you high? This has by far the single best actual effect out of all the legendary weapons. Reloading your hand has always been the biggest problem control hunter had and this fixes that singlehandedly.
The only reason this card isn't absolutely busted is because its condition is so god-fucking-awful.
I primarily meant mediocre in the sense that it does nothing crazy or unique - Priest and Rogue weapons, for example, have quite unique effects.
But regarding what you've said, I do think this effect isn't that great. Check the current hunter spell pool, there are just a few useful spells you could get: Animal Companion, Call of the Wild, To My Side! (Assuming you will summon 2), Lesser Emerald Spellstone and Flanking Strike, maybe some secrets so your spellstone is better. And those are the good non-situational ones, Hunters have tons of niche/situational cards. They have a ton of secrets which played alone are just decent, nothing special without actual secret synergy.
But even if you get really luck with the random hunter spells, what's your win condition either way? Smash Huffer into the enemy's face hoping he won't clear your tokens? Many cards have prooven that pseudo-card draw is far from being actual card draw. Even without this ludicrous condition this card wouldn't be that great, yeah, it would be good. But Hunter is so utterly fucked at the moment that it doesn't need good cards, it needs some freaking broken OP cards to save the class from oblivion.
All currently in standar hunter spells:
Animal Companion - Good enough
Arcane Shot - Useless
Hunter's Mark - Situational
Kill Command - If you got a lot of them you can go full SMOrc, but getting just a couple ain't that good.
Multi-Shot - Situational
Tracking - Fine
Deadly Shot - Situational
Explosive Trap - Situational
Freezing Trap - Just stalling
Grievous Bite - Garbage
On the Hunt - If not to generate a beast to enhance Kill Command, it's garbage
Play Dead - Situational as hell
Smuggler's Crate - Useless garbage
Snipe - Ranges from garbage, to just stalling, to fine
Unleash the Hounds - Situational
Cat Trick - Not that bad
Explosive Shot - Garbage
Flare - Cycling at least...
Hidden Cache - Garbage
Infest - You better have at least 3 tokens for this to be half-decent
Misdirection - Ranges from garbage, to just stalling, to fine
Venomstrike Trap - Not that bad
Bestial Wrath - Garbage
Call of the Wild - Good one
Dinomancy - Garbage
Snake Trap - Not that bad
Stampede - Garbage
Toxic Arrow - Garbage
Crushing Walls - Situational garbage
To My Side! - Good one
Lesser Emerald Spellstone - Good if you have some secrets to play along
Wandering Monster - Not that bad
Flanking Strike - Good one
As bad as this card is I really wanna make a deck around this ! Lol a lot of things create beasts it just sucks that this can only be played in one deck.

I think Infest would be a value generator as well and give you some minions to play lol
Wtf, how can they think that this card can be any good?
Wait and see, this spell heavy hunter will be a thing
Cant wait to get a handful of stampedes :))
And lCrushing Walls lol
The problem with this card is, that you can't even make a fun deck with it. What's so fun in playing a weak deck with no minions?
Yogg'n Load was so much better back then, you could see some fireworks. Hunter DK - do I really have to comment how incredible fun is to build zombeasts, not to mention, that in the right deck, in the right time he is a game-winning card.
This card - well, I know I will get fed up with this very soon. This card doesn't provide any amusement, it just requires me playing a deck with no real synergies, which is doomed to every other deck, competitive or casual.
I just feel sorry for the hunters.
If you saw the stream you would know it is possible to pull this type of deck off. there are still cards to be revealed so you cant just call it trash if you don't know what else it could be synergized with yet.
The new spell stone can really give you value and decent minions, Unleash the Houndsdoes this too. Also you can get spells such as Infest which you use on the tokens. Hunter has a few cards that summon minions, the new To my Side works really well with this. Its literally just two cards mixed into one. You may say, just run Call of the Wild but it doesn't matter, now hunter has a card to summon 1 2 and 3 animal companions depending on what point in the game your at. They all have the same value if you are running this style of deck, each one is just three mana more which is PERFECTLY balanced. Yes it is trash to run to my side in a basic hunter deck because it is not what the card is made for. So you can't get mad because blizzard is adding a new archetype of deck. It may become viable once the expansion releases, we just have to wait and see
Now THIS is what it means to Lock and Load!
