I guess Blizz is giving Shaman 2 archtypes. Murlocs with the quest and Elementals with this. Warlock seem to just get Discard archtype with quest and minion card.
I think making the "if" condition happen on the previous turn is very interesting with the Elementals. Suppose you play an elemental on turn 7 to set up for Kalimos, Primal Lord and your opponent suspects it. Then she can do something on her turn to make your turn 8 Kalimos a bad choice, for example by playing a Doomsayer or flooding the board threatening lethal. Then you will not be able to play Kalimos and will likely lose your ability to activate him afterwards. In short, even if you play an elemental the previous turn, there's no guarantee th you'll be able to play Kalimos the next.
I'm not saying it's good for the game, I'm just saying it's interesting...
Looks like Elemental Shaman is to be my new favorite deck.
Can't wait to see Kalimos, Primal Lord in action
The tokens made with Invocation of Earth doesn't count towards Ozruk unfortunately. Orzuk only counts elementals played from your hand.
We also need to know if elemental shaman will be better than jade shaman.
What more do you want this card is insane plz dont try to justify your reason for this being slow you're an idiot m8.
So you'd rather want comments that just say "this card bad lolol" than comments like this one that actually show their reasoning for why they think what they do?
Although I think this card is really good simply when viewing it as having a battlecry you get to choose (though I'd imagine most of the time it will be an 8-mana 7/7 that deals 3 damage to all enemy minions, since that's what tends to give the most value). As for the elemental requirement, you'd really try to fit this into an elemental-heavy deck, ideally hoping to curve into this from Fire Elemental and Stone Sentinel. It's bad in topdeck wars, similar to how most cards that require Dragons in hand are, but the versatility sorta makes up for it.
Card with no RNG in my hurtstone?! DansGame
Invocation of Fire
Invocation of Water
Invocation of Earth
Invocation of Air
I think, Blizzard is gonna fill other spaces for this perfect curve.
Luckiest:
If they won't print good 2-Mana minion/spell with Elemental synergy, you probably want to hold your Fire Fly for next turns.
Earth Elemental can be good
turn 5 Volcano for clear the board
too much flexibility in one card - AOE, pressure, board presence, heal
yes, it requires a set up, but when your class has tons of elementals, that won't be a big problem
Ragnaros! Is that you? Again?
I kinda feel like they could have given this Discover an Elemental Invocation cuz the effect can be pretty irrelevant to you in some instances if casting a random spell....
Ah true its a 0 mana spell so thats pretty nice
Looks neat, probably fits in a cople different shaman decks, mostly control though
