Card Clarifications
- Yogg's Battlecry effects all potential targets, including your own hero. (Source)
- Yogg is able to hit himself with the spells cast. If he dies during the Battlecry, it will still continue. (Source)
- This is no longer the case. If Yogg kills himself, the spells stop.

ah... my golden Yogg-Saron, Hope's End is going to leave standard forever... well I am a wild player anyways but still... I absolutely love that bastard.
After the nerf he became a risky and fun rng simulator. He saved me a lot of the times... but sometimes he just casted Purify on himself... well here's a funny story
Not so long ago I decided to bring Yogg into my Warlock deck just in case. I fought another warlock and it was a really hard battle I ended up with 5 health when my opponent had 7... the problem was he had 7/7 with taunt and another minion on the board wile I only had The Black Knight It was not looking good... I had only one choice... I deployed the god of RNG on the board hoping for some boardclear... it did not happen... however everything changed when I got Misdirection! "This is my chance" I thought Sacrificing my Knight to increase my chances of survival.
As I ended my turn I was forced to watch 7/7 Attack The crosshair appear and travel in a random direction and then
BAM!
Deadly 7/7 betrayed his owner and effectively killed him winning me the game... I was amazed! I was in shock!
Yogg may not be the most consistant minion... but sure he is fun Yogg-Saron, Hope's End will always have a special place in my collection and my heart
One of my favorite cards ever. Great art, fun effect. Crafted it golden the first day. It will be missed from standard, and will continue to be revered in wild. <3
The most detrimental card in the game, praise!
With some of the new cards added in recent expansions, its possible for Yogg-Saron, Hope's End to leave you with absolutely nothing.
Already Existing Card Draw like Sprint puts you into fatigue, eliminating your deck.
Doomerang eliminates your weapon by milling it or adding it to your hand to later be discarded.
Astral Communion discards your hand and leaves you with 10 mana and an Excess Mana spell.
Forbidden Healing or any forbidden spell gets rid of your mana.
Soulfire or another discard spell (except Cataclysm, which would destroy Yogg-Saron, Hope's End before he gets rid of all your stuff.) discards the Excess Mana.
Reckless Flurry eliminates your armor.
Dinomancy leaves you with a useless hero power because you have no way of getting friendly Beasts to use it on.
Treachery gives Yogg-Saron, Hope's End to your opponent.
Flare Destroys your Secrets because Yogg-Saron, Hope's End is casting from your opponent's perspective now.
Mass Dispel and Twisting Nether eliminate your board and makes sure you don't get anything from Deathrattles.
You now have no cards in your deck, no cards in your hand, no Secrets, no Weapons, no Minions, no Armor, and a Hero Power that does nothing.
It was always possible for Yogg to leave you with nothing. It is meant to be a YOLO card; it can leave you with nothing like you said, but it is the only card in the game that can theoretically turn ANY game around, no matter how bad your position is.
EDIT: Now I got the point of your comment. Still, going to leave this here.
Got him golden! He is really powerful and with addition of Lesser Ruby Spellstone Just having 2 of those can give you 8 extra yogg spells... and I don't really care if he's moving to the wild because I am a wild player anyways.
that guy can really save you!
A.K.A as Deathwing
Yollo king no matter what.
I'm currently 20 min into a game as Priest and i used Yogg. The first spell was evolve and it cancelled the whole thing....
Good for you that the first spell was Evolve. Imagine Cataclysm as a first spell as my Yogg did (just forgot to praise properly) and I still love this card.
This is the best God damn card in the history of the game, you peasants are not worth being in his presence.

Sprint into Dead Man's Hand FeelsGood
When Yogg saves the game, it's like...
Yogg is love, Yogg is life <3
Sorry, i ment Professor Putricide
The new release of Proffesor Putricide will make this not so good anymore in Secret Hunter.
Pulled this bad boy two days ago, the first time I played him, my opponent had 5 minions and lethal on board, Yogg casted Brawl and won it, then killed himself, won the game thanks to this, really fun card.
Yogg-Saron,Pyro to your face! seems more fitting.
Even after the nerf he's still pretty good. How is a card that can make you win a lost game not meta defining?
