This could be +2/+1 and still be balanced or be a 4/4 costing 4 mana
Yeah, I like the idea of pushing it up to a 7/5 since it'll balance by being able to be removed by Big Game Hunter, for example. It might be a little too good, though as it would "out-stat" most other 5 drops while also having a situational big upside, much like Harrison Jones, just with far better stats. Greenskin is not unplayable by any means, but I think +0/+1 is the most reasonable buff the card could get if Blizzard really wanted to push it into viability, but I think the card will gradually get better as more weapons are added in future expansions, so the way it is now is the best in my opinion for the long run.
I meant +2/+1 for the weapon, not Greenskin, that would be too broken. Anyways, Blizzard is actually focusing on nerfing cards rather than buffing them which will balance the game faster.
Not to mention the release of new cards which will make worse cards now more viable in the future.

Assassin's blade + 2×Deadly Poison + 3×Greenskin via shadowstep = 10/6 dagger. Who cares how incredibly inconvenient it is and how many cards you need to make it happen ;-)

Why not just change his effect to "At the start/end of your turn, give your weapon +1/+1"? I don't think Master of Disguise would be hugely problematic with him, as you might want to make use of his 5 attack, and if he was too difficult to take out with AoE/behind taunts his health could be reduced to 3.
