How's that not the point? You said it's a bad card before you even know what the meta is gonna be like, that is very much the point here. And I respect your opinion, I'm just sharing my opinion and letting you know what I think. If you're gonna state an opinion, don't just rage and tell me to stay come once I state my opinion, but instead be prepared to back it up.
Wailing Soul might be a tech card to include if this gets too popular.
This would ruin echo mage and handlock.
Lets just hope people in high ranks would play slowly. Low ranks this card is completely useless.
I think this card can very useful in control paladin decks, the 3/7 stats equates to 4/6 which is like slightly better than chillwind yeti. Yeti is a 4-mana card so the stats on this guy should be worth around 4.5-mana. In theory, if this card's ability activates on 2 minions (1-mana humility on each) then overall this card would've been 6.5-mana. You're paying 7 mana for him so it's slightly below average if you hit 2 minions but if you hit anything more than 2, then you are getting good value. It's like, your opponent is usually going to have 1-4 minions up, against 1-2 he's weak/below average and against 3-4, he's pretty good and any more than that, his effect would be alot better but honestly if your opponent has more than 4 minions, you'd want to equality consecrate instead of dropping this guy since his effect doesn't kill. Nonetheless, he's a perfect fit in control paladin. I think he's not going to see play in mid-range or aggro paladin but that's kind of expected.
Sort of. But a yeti and 2x humility would mean having to play three cards, and requires you to have already drawn all three cards. Having one card take the place of three makes this significantly better value.
Against aggro this probably comes too late, although being able to humility some combination of doomguard/void terror/nerubian/DiD against zoo would be useful. Against midrange decks it has some value, especially if you're behind (think 2/3 of Druid of the Claw/AoL/Spectral Knight/Shredder vs Druid for example). Against some control decks (cough cough handlock) it sounds amazing. But then control Paladin has a decent set of tools with handlock already with Aldor/Equality/Humility/Tirion. If TGT has the seemingly desired effect of slowing the meta down this could be a very useful card.
I think I would use it if it were a 8 mana 4/8 or 4/9, but with these stats, no.
Shadow Word: Pain
I'm liking a bunch of these new Paladin cards - hoping I can get my hands on one of these. This seems like it will give a huge boost to late play control paladin decks ...
well you around 2.5 mana for the mass aldor peacekeeper effect, while aldor peacekeeper only pays 0.5 mana for a single target effect.
Im not sure if it is worth it.... but! it must be said that this is a 7-mana cost minion, which are only a few good ones in the game, so thats a really important factor
This guy definitely should have at least 4 attack, if not 5 or 6... Oh well. Will probably still be a good card, not sure if it is on the level of Dr. Balance or Tirion, personally
Come on Blizzard. Make this guy have a 6/7 for the 7 stat line. Would it REALLY be that much better? Now this card will see as much play as Bolvar. It SOUNDS great on paper, but this card will EAT versus agro decks. And do you really want this guy fighting for a late game deck slot with Boom and Tirion? Of course you wouldn't. And yes, I know it will be great vs Handlock and other deck with Giants, but until the game slows down, I doubt the card will see much play.
Yeah they could of made him 4-6 or 4-5 would of been fine. 3 attack means there will a lot more [card]Shadow Madness/card] in priests decks.
I agree that 3 attack sucks, but it is not a good target for Shadow Madness, since it has a lot of HP. With Shadow Madness you want to kill something, you know?
Its a great target for Shadow Madness Recombobulator combo! You don't have to kill the minion.
It is indeed a great target for the combo, but not for Shadow Madness alone. You don't NEED to kill the minion, but 75% of the times it will be a waste.
Doge has a point though, he has enough health where he will able to sustain the damage from Shadow Madness. Never looked at it that way thanks.
yes! the Huck-You-Fandlock card i've been waiting for.
You want to hit a given number of minions with this thing, but those minions whore already on the board last turn. So, say you hit 3 medium or big minions with eadric on curve. It is most likely that turn 6 you had at least 2 of those fellows mashing your face already, and those 1+1+1 next turn ironically may become a big problem... However, If you were already ahead i can't see why would you play this over dr. boom on curve... But actually there is a bigger problem: we are considering raw power alone. Cards also have effects. Let's play this thing against a sylvanas. Unless you are extremly creative, it's at least eadric's 3 damage itself going to the other side of the field.
Eadric the Pure Ugly
Simply put .. This card is a MUST have IN all non-aggro Paladin decks
