see the problem is that there are a ton of disruption cards in other games like magic the gathering and theres a card called "aloof travelers" in legends of runeterra which are strong, but they're not a big deal. The reason why is because in those games, you can put 3 or more copies of a card in your deck, even if its a legendary card, so if your card gets destroyed in hand, you still have at least 2 other copies. In HS, you only get 2 copies of a card and 1 legendary, so these cards are completely toxic. Half the time, when a card like this is played, one player's win condition is ruined and they have no way to win the game so they end up conceding. That's horrible game design. People complain about a lot of stuff in this game, but it is legitimately the worst feeling in the game when you have to concede because your opponent played 1 card.
As a result of this and the abundance of hand disruption, people just dont play decks anymore that are weak to it, so deck variety has plummetted and most decks on ladder are just "pick a class and choose all the best cards". It's really freaking lame, but so many dumb people on the forums and streamers like it.
Don't you love Hand destruction in a class that has execute or brawl?
I do not understand why the game has turned into this. No one likes this kind of gameplay.
Evil card. I love it.
I play combo priest alot in wild. I feel like a well constructed deck has strats that you can fall back on if plan A falls apart. If they steal a big minion, I can either steal it and run it in to face or just play another big minion. If they take away my bless cards, I have crazed alchamist.
Playing a deck that pushes hard on one particular combo is a lot of fun and you should be able to enjoy that but I don't think you should be outraged when your plan built with straws falls down

BLIZZARD STOP. FFS hand disruption is complete cancer. Literally every deck runs all the available hand disruption. You cant reliably do any strat in the game unless it involves "pick a class and make a deck of its best cards". I want to play fun decks again. Why can't I have fun?
they rly have been testing out disruption a lot recently,well,time will tell if they stick with it or not,or if its just a one time only thing like jousting,but....wild is doomed,but hey...who cares about wild lul
You do realize, that this card will be with us even in the Standard for a long time (and many other hand disruptions). If they don't decide to ban/remove it, which I'm not expecting. Combo decks are going to be pretty dead, which they kinda already are.
