Still wouldn't be played, if it were 3 mana.
The Rogue class is addicted to unplayable epic weapons. We must stop this madness !
Hm. Ah. Huh. I feel as though this severely overshadows the rogue legendary weapon, and I'm not sure how I feel about that. Kingsbane at least is resistant to being hard removed, which I guess might be relevant in future metas, but not only is this better enough to completely overshadow that, but it naturally fits into steal rogue, which is already an extremely strong (if underappreciated) achetype, so if your weapon gets removed you can just keep playing as though it never existed. I'm inclined to dislike this card, not because it's good or bad, but because it's weird to make an epic weapon firmly slotted into an existing archetype that acts as a direct evolution to the design space of the class's legendary weapon, which required it's entire deck to be made around it, not allowing it to co-exist with other archetypes. (efficiently) It's weird.
Oh, and it costs 4 instead of 1. Not that that matters much.
It also doesn't synergise with Doomerang, which realistically is one of the better cards in Kingsbane decks, however it hasn't much use for it since you're playing steal rogue and you're just getting to have a better Kingsbane freely without having to try to synergise with it. You also don't need Leeching Poison, which frees up 1-2 slots in ya dek.
Worse than Kingsbane, but recall: Kingsbane will rotate out before this does. All in all, this doesn't seem *that* bad in itself. It'll be playable in a year, maybe :P
This is awesome! Burgle decks are the best rogue decks. Not strong, but super fun to play. Will have to be wild though.
Something like this maybe?
You should add Witch's Cauldron to the mix !
Kind of annoying how this mechanic bricks if you play against another Rogue. A shame that these cards haven't been worded to trigger on any cards gained by the burgle mechanic, even if they're rogue cards.
Wait... We have Lilian Voss, Hallucination and PROBABLY some class legendaries from new set legendary "faceless"... and that's it
Oh, how could I forget about Witch's Cauldron !
Basically, I feel like that's not enough at all.!
If there was no Kingsbane or weapon destroying oozes, I'd say this card is pretty good!
*sigh*
But there is.
Typical. Synergize with cards that are rotating. Ggblizz.
Bye
Whine butch alert 🚨
If your opponent does not have any weapon removal in his deck, this card is better than Kingsbane because you instantly get the weapon draw and lifesteal cards in one card and you can replace those with "add opponent class" cards
not so bad just compere it to Eaglehorn Bow and not to Kingsbane aroud this card you dont have to build the hole deck
Regardless of the power of burgle decks as a whole, "mostly unplayable cards" is a fallacy people repeat endlessly without any evidence. Swashburglar was used enough competitively to prove that point: If the burgled cards are mostly useless you would use other 1-drops. The pirate tag mattered while Patches was strong sure, but that is far from the only reason it was used.
If you really want there will be plenty of tournament footage around to count how often the burgled card was used. I have no doubt you will find it was more than 50% of the time.
Cannot compete with Kingsbane still in Standard, so the comparism would be Obsidian Shard. The problem is that Rogue will lose some burgle cards, so there should be more to come.
This can't really be compared to Kingsbane. Kingsbance is intended to be a win condition within itself, this is supposed to be a stall weapon. Buffing this using something like Envenom Weapon andDeadly Poison can make an interesting control aid. Also, Rogue is losing Swashburglar, Shaku, the Collector and Undercity Huckster, so that combined with the fact that this is a control type weapon, you know what this means...
BURGLE CONTROL ROGUE TIME BOIS!
It's even worse than trash.
Meme kettle: draw a card, add three copies of your opponents deck to you hand ;)
